[Q] Memory Card for Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001? - HELP

Hey Friends
Need some help
Just got my brand new Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001
I am interested in buying Transcend Memory Card MicroSDHC 8GB Class 10 for the device, so kindly answer following silly questions of mine please :
1. Should I go for Class 10 for this Mobile? Since, Class 10 have the highest read and write speed, AFAIK
2. AFAIK, any Micro SD Card above 4 GB is known as Micro SDHC Card, so SGS+ will easily support 8 GB Micro SDHC Class 10 Card. Am I right?
8 GB Class 10 Micro SDHC Card is costing me around $14, so I can afford it. Can't afford 16 GB or 32 GB in Class 10
Please help
Thanks a lot
mrintech, the card you mention will work perfectly fine in your phone, the class 10 is more than adaquate.
I have clas 4 and is ok....32gb clas 4.
same here. even i am using a class 4, 16GB memory card, works fine for me!!!
should be ok since im using 32gb glass 4
AW: [Q] Memory Card for Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001? - HELP
for me my class 6 card is fast enough - and cheaper...
(16 GB ~9€ --> maybe 10$)
i think if you record videos with camera to external sd a faster sd than mine would be great

a quite old thread

ADATA 32GB Class 10 or Sandisk Mobile Ultra 32GB Class 6 ?

Hi there,
I don't know what mobile card I should choose. I'm wondering between A-DATA MicroSDHC 32GB Class 10 and SanDisk Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC 32GB Class 6 (model number: SDSDQY-032G-U46A).
Sandisk's cards are known for their good performance, so this class 6 might behave like 10. The problem is that those Sandisk's ones are still out of stock in my country.
What would you choose ?
Hello, it's an old topic, but what did you choose? And how is the write speed?
I am wondering about the same Sandisk card.

[Q] Micro SD suggestion

hello evryone , i would like to hear your suggestions on class 10 micro sd cards avalible atm. mostly to suggest manufacturer
well in India, i only know of Transcend.
hehe, i got many choices here, and as far i saw, Samsung ones are cheapest, will propably get one of 16gb class 10, should be fine, need class 10 becouse i want expand internal memory
btw, is there big diference in speed between 8gb/16gb/32gb class 10 cards?
try use SDcard 16GB class 10..
hey, i am confused a bit, on seller website, says
Samsung MICRO SD Plus 16 GB, HC Class10
Read (MB/s) 24
Write (MB/s) 21
while more expensive card
Transcend micro SD 16GB HC Class 10
Read (MB/s) 16,95
Write (MB/s) 11,61
are those numbers correct
Transcend stats seem more real

you can suggest other manufactures.
I've used Transcend and RiData class 10 micro sd cards. Just make sure they're original and you're good to go
I use lexar 32GB sdhc class 10. No problem with sdext stuff.

[Q] Which 32gb micro SD to buy for this tab?

So I read many posts about the GT7+ and 7.7 with a lot of talk about problems with 64gb cards, sandisk class 10 cards, etc. Just curious about people's experiences with getting 32gb cards for this tab? Do other brands of non sandisk 32gb class 10 cards work (read and write) for this tab? Or should I try to find a class 4/6 to be safe?
Thx
The problem with SD cards is that the controller for reading/writing them is not on the card but on the device to save costs on the card side.
This means that your device is limited in SD capacity by its controller. As far as I know, the tab+ lists SD sizes up to 32GB as compatible, so a 64GB card will probably fail (or only show 32GB).
Most 32GB cards should not cause any problem.
Class 10 is always better the limitation with the 64gb must be because your ROM needs to read ExFAT instead of FAT32, i have not try the 64gb and don't know about a specific ROM with ExFAT support but i'm willing to try.
I have been using a class 6 Sandisk 64 card in my 6210 for the past 18 months or so. Before the class 6 card, i tried two class 10 Sandisk 64 cards and they were both unable to be read by the 6210. I tried to reformat them and they were completely unusable afterwards. I then got two Transcend 64 class 10 cards from amazon and they worked fine. I've got those cards in both of my samsung galaxy players (4.0 & 5.0)
