Unable to Install Google Play Services Old Version.
Error: "Package appears to be corrupted".
I tried several versions.
I have a galaxy s7 exynos.
I want to install a version 12.2.21 or older.
The phone will update to the newest version itself. But if you want to install the old version, you have to uninstall all Play Store Services updates.
I'll take this topic to try to take away my doubt ...
On my S7 with the Oreo update, the "Google Play Services" service installed was the "recommended" version for Android version 6.0+.
Being the version of Android 8.0, went to APKMirror and I find the same service for the version of Android 8.0+.
Why does the system fetch the version for Android 6.0+ instead of version 8.0+?

12.8.72 (090408-202717283)
July 15, 2018 arm-v7a + arm64-v8a Android 8.0+ 480dpi
Can anyone explain why the wrong choice?
Thanks :good:

Hey all,
I've got a Comigo set top box, and it runs Android 4.4.2... Play Store doesn't work anymore but I can still install apps as .apk packages. The caveat is that I have to get versions that don't use API newer than 19. A lot of apps don't work right because apparently there are some things missing or not configured correctly.
The issue at hand is that apps can't show web content inside an app and prompt instead to open in external browser app (Google Chrome for example). Is Android System WebView the component I need? I searched around for an .apk and the lowest version I found was 40. Version 40 uses API 21, but my device supports API only up to 19. I believe the version I need is 36. Could someone point me to a download or post me the .apk file so I could install it on my device?
The build should be for arm architecture.
Thanks a bunch!
PS I don't have any KitKat devices to back it up from, all I have is Jelly Bean and Lollipop, neither will do.
Incorrect. Version 36 is the one found in L Developer Preview which I believe is still API 21 (or 20). While WebView in Android 4.4 is indeed based on Chrome, it only got repackaged as a separate APK with Android 5.0. In other words, there doesn't seem to be a way to install any of the WebView APKs on Android 4.4.
See here for details.
Did you manage to sort this one out?
Search Google for Main Component app by Google and download its apk from APK mirror and install the latest one do this only if you are on Android 10 and you know what Google play system update is and if it is stuck on a previous version for you I did this and was updated to September Google play system update while I was previously stuck on July Google play system update
I hope this guide helps you I am providing the link of the latest APK of main component app below :
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...1-android-apk-download/download/?forcebaseapk
October update that isn't include in 11.0.12.0
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...1-android-apk-download/download/?forcebaseapk
This will not update anything on your phone. Please refer to this guide instead. Avoid the Main Components APK as that does more harm than good.
Hello everyone,
I have a Huawei P30 Pro which has been updated to the latest security patch from May 2022.
However, when installing Intune Company Portal, I am receiving this error : "You need to update settings on this device". Also, Intune reports that could not verify my device because it failed a critical Google security check. Please consider that third party tools report that my latest security patch is two years old, whereas the EMUI 12 OS reports that my security patch is May 2022.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
The issue affects all Huawei devices due to the GMS requirement and there doesn't seem to be any easy work around or solution that I can find. I tried an old P10 which is using Emui 9.1 and my portal has a minimum requirement of Android 10, however the older devices use GMS so I'm not sure which is the issue in my case. The Intune portal cannot detect the android version according to the portal device list. My Samsung has been all but bricked by the latest intune policy enforcements I want it off my personal phone stat.
Download the Google Play Store apk from apkmirror and sideload it. Then upgrade the EMUI and get the latest Android security patch.
My issue isn't the GMS services as they are still part of the EMUI on the phone. The EMUI is 9.1 and I was told that the intune policy has a minimum of 10, but even so the intune instance is unable to detect the adnroid version. There are no newer patches for the P10

Can you elaborate this action more precisely? I installed apkmirror, but could not find any EMUI upgrade or Android security patch!

To install GMS ( also snappy called GApps ), they need to be "flashed" to the /system partition (or you need root powers to place them manually).
To access the Google Play Store GMS Core must get installed first. You may use "GMS Core installer".
BTW: You can use YalpStore instead of Google Play Store: https://github.com/yeriomin/YalpStore
