Hello guys.
A friend of mine gave me this phone. He has no idea where it came from (which country) . It came with custom kitkat rom so i cant find the original firmware of the phone (or i dont know how). So i installed lollicop rom on this phone .It worked great until i realized i had no radio signal.

This is my phone info (taken from EFS Professional). I installed shortcut master and went in radio settings. It says GSM service : Emergency calls only. I tried hard reseting / apn change / mobile network automatic and manuall search but nothing shows. Changed from GSM to all i had in radio settings ( like GSM only / GSM auto PRL / etc etc) and nothing happened. I dont know what is wrong with this phone. IMEI is the same as the back cover.
Any suggestion please is highly appriciated
Try to reinstall stock firmware using KIES.
There is no fear for wrong firmware download since download perform by KIES.
However in my case, KIES2 asking S/N, not IMEI. On video he is using KIES3. Of course, you need active internet connection.
You can find imei & S/N under battery.

Can someone please help me?
Is it possible to root my phone, or is there no point keep looking?
I've been searching for many hours through forums but is still clueless..
I got this S6 last week, bought it second hand.
Apparently OS was updated with the latest 6.0.1 in September.
Thanks // Denny

And this must be with odin in Windows?
Heimdall in Linux isn't a good option?
I don't have to worry about bootloops?
And/or possibly reflashing from scratch and loose my data?
And then if it works there's no problem with installing TWRP is there?
Thanks

I think you can use Heimdall without any problem.
You don't have worry about bootloops.
You can revive the phone with reflashing stock firmware without losing data if you have a problem.
You can install TWRP after or before rooting, it doesn't depend on root status.
Short Story:
Everything used to work with Superman ROM, then I installed Phoenix ROM and now I can not find my Mobile Providor anymore in Mobile Networks (but I can see a different providor) and the phone thinks it is a SM-G930FD. (I might have wiped too much information during installation process of Phoenix ROM) I tried flashing stock using Smart Switch, which ends up in DRK errors + dm-verify errors. After flashing TWRP + SuperSU the phone boots but still the same problems. I flashed BL+AP+CP+CSC from stock SAMMobile but still same problems as flashing using Smart Switch. Also tried BL+AP+CP+HOME_CSC and same problems. Also tried removing cache.img from the CSC and HOME_CSC tars and still no luck. I also tried flashing Superman ROM again but no luck. Also flashing stock again using Smart Switch, then TWRP + SuperSU and tried flashing CSC, HOME_CSC, CSC (no cache) and HOME_CSC (no cache) but still same problems each time. I put the details from "Phone INFO *Samsung*" below.
What else can I do to get my phone to connect to my mobile operator again?
Long Story:
After installing Phoenix ROM (after having some stability issues on Superman ROM) on my S7 SM-G930F I have a problem with connecting to my mobile providor. I believe I have this problem since I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68979765&postcount=251 and flashed BL+CP (I might have even accidentally flashed for the SM-G935F instead of SM-G930F).
To fix this issue I tried flashing/formatting a lot of things but no luck, so I decided to go back to stock firmware.
I have a TANGO SIM card from Luxembourg that can connect to 3G/4G/LTE and it works fine when I try it on my old Galaxy S4, now I am trying to get it to work on my Galaxy S7.
Smart Switch
Upon plugging my S7 in my computer while Smart Switch is open, it gives the error: "Device not recognised". I managed to get around that by clicking on Emergency software recovery and initialization, then clicking on Device initialization, then giving "SM-G930F" in capitals as Model name, then giving my IMEI code and then Smart Switch succesfully downloads and flashes factory firmware to my S7. However upon booting the S7 I get the error "Device does not have DRK, please install DRK first. press any button".
I have also tried to Wipe cache partition & Wipe data/factory reset after getting the DRK error, but the phone won't boot and it displays dm-verify errors.
When I put the S7 in Download mode it says:
Product name: SM-G930F
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Custom
FRP Lock: Off
Warranty void: 1
Custom recovery
So the next thing I do is using a custom recovery TWRP: I succesfully flash TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-4-herolte.img.tar see http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770) to the S7.
When I put the S7 in Download mode it says:
Product name: SM-G930F
Current binary: Custom
System status: Custom
FRP Lock: Off
Warranty void: 1
The phone still does not boot, next up I flash SuperSU (SuperSU-v2.78-201609011115.zip see http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/stable-2016-09-01supersu-v2-78-release-t3452703) inside TWRP. I then click Wipe cache/dalvik and then Reboot System.
Now the phone boots! However after entering my PIN code it displays the Dual SIM card menu (which is weird because this is not a SM-G930FD) with the following SIM 1 details:
SIM 1
TANGO 3G/2G
Unknown
The providor is correct but it is weird that it thinks it can only go up to 3G because I have LTE support.
Now I finish up the initial setup of Android and then I still can not send text messages or connect to 3G/4G. When I click on Mobile networks > Access Point Names, I see Tango Internet as an unchecked option, it still does not work after checking it on, the details of the access point are the following:
Name: Tango Internet
APN: Internet
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: tango
Password: *****
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mms.tango.lu
MMS proxy: 212.66.75.3

MCC: 270
MNC: 77
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
Mobile virtual network operator type: None
When I click Settings > Mobile networks > Network operators > Search networks, I only see "L Orange-LU" popping up, which is a different providor then Tango.

Upon clicking Refurbishment Check, I get "It looks like your phone is NOT a genuine one." with warnings no Manufacturing Date and no Hardware Revision, and also that Know Warranty Void has been tripped. I believe that I accidentally wiped this information in TWRP at some point :/
SAMMobile stock firmware
I also tried to manually flash the stock firmware through ODIN from SAMMobile: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/LUX/. I tried flashing BL+AP+CP+CSC , BL+AP+CP+HOME_CSC , AP. I also tried flashing with the Re-Partition option and also with the Phone EFS Clear option. I also followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/help/how-to-solve-dm-verity-verification-t3293306 and flashed BL+AP+CP+CSC with CSC being a custom compiled md5 tar without cache.img , and the same for HOME_CSC.
Custom ROMs
I also tried installing custom ROMs but still no connectivity. I only tried Superman ROM and Phoenix ROM again.
Smart Switch + SAMMobile CSC/HOME_CSC
Finally I tried flashing stock firmware again using Smart Switch, and flashing TWRP and SuperSU again so it boots. Then I flashed CSC from SAMMobile and it did not make any difference. I also tried HOME_CSC, CSC (custom compiled without cache.img) and HOME_CSC (custom compiled without cache.img), but the phone still thinks it is a SM-G930FD and I can not connect to my Mobile Providor. Furthermore the details in the app "Phone INFO *Samsung*" do not change when I flash a CSC.
I can not find any other methods to fix this problem... I hope I'm not duplicating any other thread.

Thank you for replying! Oh, I'm glad I'm not alone. So I go into TWRP, go to Wipe, then check the following:
Dalvik / ART Cache: checked
System: unchecked
Data: checked
Internal Storage: unchecked
Cache: checked
Micro SDCard: unchecked
USB OTG: unchecked
Then I'll flash BL+AP+CP+CSC from SAMMobile. I'll post the results in a few minutes.

Hmmm, it didn't work, I get DRK error and dm-verify upon flashing BL+AP+CP+CSC.
Now I flashed TWRP again, and wiped the following:
Dalvik / ART Cache: checked
System: checked
Data: checked
Internal Storage: checked
Cache: checked
Micro SDCard: checked
USB OTG: unchecked
Then flashed BL+AP+CP+CSC again. Still DRK error, then I hit "Wipe data/factory reset", and also hit "Wipe cache directory" and rebooted, but then it still gives dm-verify error.
Then flashed TWRP again, mounted the sd card and put SuperSU-v2.78-201609011115.zip on it. Then I flashed the SuperSU, then hit "Wipe cached/dalvik" and Reboot System. As expected it boots again but still no connection to my Mobile Providor and it still thinks it is a SM-G930FD.
I guess I must be wiping in the wrong way? How do you perform a "total wipe"?
Now I will wipe everything again through TWRP and flash stock through Smart Switch again, and see if that makes any changes.
PS: when I'm flashing BL+AP+CP+CSC in Odin I only have the following options checked (maybe I also need to check Re-Partition or something?):
Auto Reboot: checked
Re-Partition: unchecked
F. Reset Time: checked
DeviceInfo: disabled
Nand Erase All: unchecked
Flash Lock: unchecked
T Flash: unchecked
Phone EFS Clear: unchecked
Phone Bootloader Update: unchecked

Even wiping as much as possible through TWRP and then performing an emergency recovery through Smart Switch still gives the DRK and dm-verify errors. I flashed TWRP and SuperSU again and now it still thinks it is a SM-G930FD and it still does not connect to my Mobile Providor...
I wish I was as lucky as you were. Or maybe my "total wipe" method is wrong?

(sorry for my english) I forgot a couple of things, first of all, I did unroot the Phone, (so there was no TWRP nor Superuser etc, then i installed stock 6.01. rom and then i took the S7 to a shop and they unloked the phone (they are friends at the shop) , the told me that it was modems fault due a bad installation of the beta rom (the name that appeared was a different one, just like yours, but after days of "going crazy" the S7 is working like charm, and i will never root again.

when i say "total wipe" i tray to say wipe from stock recovery, sorry for my english !! ?
hello exactly ditto issue here please do share the fix.
In the end I tried some more resetting without any luck and then left it lying around. Note that it was left in quite cold conditions.
After a few weeks I wanted to get it working again but it seemed the battery was dead. I let it on the charger overnight. The next day the battery still seemed dead. A few days on the charger later it still didn't show anything after trying to boot it.
I showed it to my dealer that it didn't boot and they took it for repair. A few days (or weeks) later they claimed that the motherboard was dead, they replaced it and I could come to pick it up. When I booted the phobe it had stock software and I could connect to my mobile providor successfully! I have been stock ever since. Samsung have also updated the software to Android 7.0 so that's good. I have also found solutions for the problems I had with being non-rooted. Maybe in the far future I will root again.
Closed for business.

Hi,
The IMEI on my T-Mobile S6 got wiped after last update. I have downgraded it back but still it doesn't register on network. Can you fix it?
Thanks
Just wanted to mention that instrumentaly was able to unlock my SM-G930P. We ran into a couple of issues along the way, but it worked out in the end. He didn't ask for anything up front or otherwise. Thanks again!

I tried everything flash COMBINATION_FA60_G930FXXU2ARA2 and network repair and write cert but when i flash the original stock firmware the network remains nothing
I can't do network repair and write cert on version 7 and i can't downgrade to version 6 cause bootloader !!!!
Has the phone's imei been blacklisted in some way?
I checked it and it’s not
Seems you cant flash an older firmware. Grab the very latest firmware (even if its not your csc) and flash that.
I found this the hard way

Based on the information i can see available to me your PDA, BL and CP version are all AP SWREV B:2 whereas your CSC is using AP SWREV B:1, you will not be able to connect to any network whilst your CSC is set to B1, you need to download a full firmware package that contains all AP SWREV B:2 if your in australia or uk the new 8.0 oreo firmware is out on sammobile its for the uk but the network functions on all australian carriers this should fix your issue also go to the dialer and enter *#0011# is thr screen blank or filled with information if blank you are experiencing a certificate error or imei issue if it displays text when entered change the modem to AP SWREV B:2 firmware please feel free to private message me if you still need some help.
also quick questoin the combination FA_60_G930FXXU2ARA2 rom you flashed to the device did it actually boot ? As i have a G930F with knox tripped and for some reason the exact same combination rom will not boot at all on my device i get nad passed and provisioned and the blue status light but will not go any further and once restarted i get a console error.
Thanks
Matthew
