Device Unlock Help - T-Mobile LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I purchased my G5 on eBay a while back and it was working fine up until yesterday. It said the temporary unlock had expired and to use the device unlock app. Problem is, the device unlock app was removed by the seller. I don't want to return it and T-Mobile support said that if I was able to get into the app I would be able to unlock it because the IMEI checks out. If there is someone out there with the T-Mobile G5 who could extract the APK of the Device Unlock app and send it to me that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

MetroPCS LG Leon Unlock Methods Root LG MS345 H345

Hello has anyone figured out a way of unlocking the LG LEON besides via device unlock app??
I ask because currently the servers have been down for the past 2 weeks and I have 10 Leons sitting around my house
I have found a way to enter the unlock through the hiddensimunlock.apk
says success , reboots, the sim is blocked by the app
I have asked a few friends who currently haven't experiment with the leon but they said if we can remove that app for good we might be able to unlock the phone
so i was wondering if someone installed a custom rom on the leon (no device app integrated) then performed regular unlock code method with APK
will it work?
I am offering 50$ paypal to whoever can show me how to unlock this phone successfully without device app
any help/info would be greatly appreciated
bump
Let me know if you succeed.
Need answers on how to root
Hmm no reply
Hi, if you just call metropcs and tell them you are unlocking a phone you bought online and need help unlocking it. They should help you, I have to wait 30 days to unlock my lg and once I can I will help with your lg Leon
Kingroot
Kongoroot (not kingroot) is the only one that worked for me ( just to root)
now I can't unlock bootloader or unlock network

[Q] Purchased Online (Unlock Failed):

I purchased a Galaxy S7 online, came with a T-Mobile receipt showing the device is paid in full, upon my request the original owner used the unlock app to request a permanent unlock before shipping and it was successfully unlocked. I received the device about 3 days ago everything works as it should, I opened the unlock app just to double check and requested a permanent unlock again and got this message (Unlock Failed: This mobile wireless device is not eligible for unlock etc...) I know the device is unlocked I tried an inactive AT&T sim and did not request a code. Anyone can tell me why the unlock app does not recognize that the device is unlocked, thanks in advance.
You might have to call t-mobile or log in to your t-mobile account and see the unlock status or your device..how do u know the original owner was able to successfully unlock the phone? It's it works with another carrier sim then the phone sld be unlocked and it sldnt be an issue..maybe it's giving up the error msg since it's already unlocked

99% certain that if the device is unlocked, the device is simply unlocked and that's that. If the SIM works you're good to go and any further attempts fail.
Finally T-Mobile website updated the status of the device as unlocked and can be used with any GSM network, but the unlock app still fails to show that, every time I try I get the same message (Unlock Failed) anyone out there has a fix for this error?
Not sure I understand your question.... the phone is already unlocked so the unlock app will give u an error message....cause it's already unlocked...Good luck man...

I have my Samsung Galaxy S7 Unlocked by app. If I try the unlock app process again I'll get the (unlock failed) that means nothing. Put a active simple of another GM Carrier, if it works you are all set. It won't ask to give any code, it will just recognize the other Carrier. Hope this helps.

J700T unlock question

Have any of you successfully unlocked your phone using the T-Mobile Device Unlock app and permanently unlocking the phone? I was unsuccessful. I called T-Mobile and their representative put in a request to unlock my phone, but I got a response saying that my phone can only be unlocked using the Device Unlock app which won't unlock my phone. My phone is fully paid so I don't know why it's not letting me. Anyone have any advice?

Hi,
Have you tried a third party unlocking service?

Thank you for replying. No, I haven't. I fully paid for my phone, I expected T-Mobile to just unlock it without any issues.

Tmobile Unlock App on rooted S8+ ?

Is there any way to get the unlock app to work on a rooted S8+? Somehow I lost mine and tried loading it from apkmirror but got an error message.
Or is there a way to do it without being on the phone directly like the website?
Reach out to an unlock service. They will one the answer and (for a fee) can probably get it unlocked for you
The Device Unlock App can be found in the App store. Or you can get it from T-Mobile website here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14011
If you can't get it install like this, do a hard reset and restore your phone's factory settings: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/how-to-make-a-hard-reset-for-samsung-phones/
if you are doing the carrier unlock, what i did was leave my ATT sim card out of the phone flashed the AQGL TMB stock rom, let it boot up and go through settings, and go into your APPS and it should be there a Pink Icon. Just click on Permanent Unlock and they'll get it done right away as long as you meet their requirements like Device Paid off. TMB does it for free. If you go through an Unlocker theyll charge what, I think i seen these go for like $150.

Truly appreciate you posting the apk but it doesnt work. On their official website they posted the link to unlock app which also has been pulled from app store. I installed Unlocked ROM (Not sim unlocked but Tmobile Crap Free Samsung ROM) it doesnt have unlock app and I would hate to restore phone to tmobile ROM and loose all data. Anyone else has found solution to install device unlock and permanently unlock the Samsung S7 and S7 edge devices? I have them completely paid off and according to Tmobile they should unlock just fine but they are of no help getting that app back on phone without doing complete factory reset from ODIN.

Moto G 7 Power - Is there a way to bypass Tmobile's unlock app?

I bought a Moto G 7 from T-Mobile 5 months ago, but now I'm travelling abroad and can't use any local sim card because its sim locked and T-Mobile's won't unlock it for me. Is there any way to bypass that application?
When I insert the new sim card I get a screen saying that I can unlock it remotely (it is denied on that app). All I need to how to type the code to unlock it.

Hello. I`ll use this thread because of I have same issue. I flashed my metropcs with retail firmware and now it prompts me for code. Is it possible to be unlocked in that way?
So, just an update: I managed to replace the moto g power os, so now I have it debranded but it keeps asking for a code to unlock the sim card. I bought the Pantech UCC 2.0 (which was supposed to generate the code) but it didn't work. So now I'm looking for something to generate that code
If anyone got any tool or device that generates that for the moto g 7 power please let me know.

I`m in the same situation. But I`m even not sure that will evade the original unlock app.

After the debranding (installing the original os) the unlock app is no longer avaiable, so I get the default window asking for the code. Thing is I don't have the code

I mean I`m not sure that it is possible this phone to be unlocked by code since originally it is implemented to be unlocked by app.
I do believe it is possible since its the same screen I've seen on so many other apps. The unlock app was a mod Tmobile delivered with the version of the android operating system. When I replaced it, it went back to the default screen, so all I need now is a way to generate that code, it seems
