devs are working on it, bu CAM will work only after Miui O
Reading in other forums miui O is not planned in short time, so we have to patiently wait.

Because we don't have OSS Cam Hals, so we have to use stock blobs, N blobs is not really useable on O

Hmm, but why? MAD-TEAM has only source codes for 4.4 Jiaju S3, they make fully working 8.1 for this devices (and 7.x and 6.x), why it cant be made for note 3?

No. It's not that simple. The HALs need to be ported. By ported I mean rewritten every code so it will work outside EMUI.

It its not available and never will be I think..
May b end of this year honor 6x will get oreo officially
EMUI 8 will come for 6X likely before the year ends. Afer that, let's hope and pray that huawei will give out the source immediately.
Emui 8 will slow down the device.Emui 5.1 isnt that stable

but it was not compiled and surely there is a lot of bugs

Im sorry, I assumed it was a source ready to be compiled as a rom because Im really new to learning with these things, but I hope someone would make an oreo rom for galaxy tab 2 considering the fact that nougat was being patched right now.

It can't compile, it has nothing changed to work on O and you will need a lot to change (and don't forget a massive kernel update you'll also need).

I don't work on trees anymore. I got frustrated to try to change my GitHub LineageOS 15 for SM-T230NU degaswifi. From it saying HTML to Makefile. So I gave up.
I still love marshmallow rom it's enough for our tab 2 (stable rom ever)

tissot -n-oss n was for nougat
so may be Xiaomi is making it ready

I don't see any correlations to the kernel.
The source has been released. Changes were committed.
Xiaomi just released the Kernel Source code for mi mix 2s, you can find it here

You can just flash the system image through fastboot, but custom recovery is just more convenient.

Compiled, it boots.
I tried to make TWRP based on this kernel, but it stuck at the first logo screen. Sad.

Don't know, in DP2 there's only the snapdragon camera but you can install the google one via play store.
It haven't the nexus/pixel features like automatic HDR but it still works better then MIUIs one

i test it and have two bug first HotSpot don't worked and battery usage is bad if u can fix twice problem no lineageOS is perfect and non bug. thank a lot
