Hi guys,
i have a crappy problem with my mother-in-law's phone (please abstein from jokes )
So she put her p8 lite (the model is not relevant) in the washing mashine, turned on. She realized pretty soon what she did and managed to take it out.
Having no experience in these things, she saw that it was still on (with bubbles of water under the glass but with the screen still on) and she panicked.
Now she gave it to me: the screen is all black but the phone works: i can take pictures with the volume shortcuts and see the memory (and successfully copy files).
Here's the problem: she doesn't remember her gmail associate account and usb debug was not on.
Is there a way i can find this out? All her contacts are there, plus whatsapp and everything else.
I thought about fastbooting it but without any screen its very difficult to do so...

My N5 was bought on 31.8.2014.
I broke my screen on 3.9.2014. (fell asleep with him in bed)
Just glass broke, nothing more. Everything was ok until today.
Full stock, updated on 5.1.1.
The problem first appeared today, on 14.06.2014. about 11:25 in morning. He was in my pocket and I was playing Belote, on table in the shade. I went on whatsapp and then N5 started to be very slow ~3s from typing password to whatsapp, then I reset him. The same scene has happen before this video. I can hear screenshot sound, but still got black screen. Also those screenshots are saved (I have few of them on my HDD, look a like normal screenshots of start screen).
Also, if I don't restart N5, he stays in same position for ~25mins.
I left him for 25mins and still same thing. N5 stays cold all the time.

My Brother had the same issue last week, and send it back and they said the device was broken, i think it was something on the mainboard. Today my Brother recieve a new N5

Hello, my Xiaomi 4's motherbaord is damaged, the phone still functions and comes on but the screen is completely black. It does not work at all. (I know it comes on because there is a black light so the black screen sort of lights up from the back light) Ive accepted its broken but I need the data thats on it very very much, there are very important notes, pictures, contacts and messages that I need to access....Usually I would jump to misuite and let it back up my phone or get to my internal storage through it but due to some bad luck, misuite seems to have a problem of itself at the moment. When I connect my broken screen phone, misuite displays the message "You need to upgrade your device to use Mi PC Suite. Update your device before connecting" I've come to understand that this means that misuite itself does not support higher versions of MIUI. That misuite has a problem.....I really do need my data.....can you help me at all?
Girlfriend broke the screen on the S6 and it doesnt display anything. Anyone have an tricks to getting photos off? The phone is unlocked and i can access the home screen. I can see the phone on Find My Phone from Samsung and i can install apps remotely with Google Play. Debugging is Off. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Hi,
It never happened to me (USB debug always on, in case of emergency), but someone on instructables had the same issue (broken screen/debug off). He managed to enable it via the cerberus app. A bit slow from what he says, but seems to work well. He provides a full walkthrough. Ask goo for cerberus-broken screen- debug...You should find it easily.

I installed Lineage OS hieauhl several days ago.
I have used it without trouble.
But today something like 8-bit icon appeared on the screen, and I cannot unlock it
I can take phone calls, and take screen shots. Photos can be transferred to google photo. Therefore, I think internet connection works properly.
Could someone else help me unlock the screen?
Looks like malware too me. Try booting into safe-mode and uninstall the app it came along with.

Your phone believes it has a dot view cover on.
Saturday my S7 Edge - stock ROM, no root - BSODed:
I picked Up my Phone but it wouldnt turn on the display. no reactions to any button or combo (forced reboot, download mode...).
LED flashed blue like a notification.
I let it run the battery low so it turned off (at least the LED went off).
It doesnt load anymore unfortunately, at least the display wont show anything. Still no reactions to any button when plugged in for hours..
I disassambled it and replaced the battery unit but no change.
Maybe somebody who has gone throughb this too or anyone with a hint?
What could be broken, so I could swap the parts from another one (i.e. a used one with broken display).. the disassably tutorials mention a a"logic board" (=mainboard?), could that be it and is there any hope to recover the internal storage?
Update:
I had to replace the logicboard, so either CPU / RAM / flash storage are broken. I bought another S7 edge with a broken screen for a few bucks got get the "spare parts" and followed common tutorials for disassembly. Phone is back to live now but wirh the "new" IMEI + flash drive.
I was lucky I had Google Backup enabled so I didn't lose any important information.
