I have a Galaxy S7 G930FD.. I have observed that the pictures I take with my S7 do not have the colors nd brightness as is expected from a camera of its calliber.. colors are very dim and dark.. My friend also has a S7 G930F.. I clicked pictures on both phones at same time and compared them.. both were on auto mode.. mine were really poor.. what could be the possible reason ? Both are on nougat.. and both have same camera app version.. and both have same camera sensor.. I checked via phone info app if we both have the same camera sensor..
PS: I have installed stock G930F firmware on my G930FD to have quicker updates.. because 930FD is usually ignored for updates..
Sample Pictures..
Here are a few sample pictures taken by my phone..

Hello!
It looks like the S6's camera can take better photos than Note 4/Edge, though as it's the same camera module, why Samsung is not releasing a Rom update to match the S6 camera quality?
Samsung is just trying to copy Apple that's all they don't intend to make things better for all level of users they try to create a smartphone class difference
Although they have the same Sony sensor, the s6 has an i.r sensor and more. It's more then software differences

maybe its my phone but my camera sucks. i mean i haven't looked at them on the pc but just taking normal indoor pics they seem very grainy and blurry even with ois
Then your Edge should go in service...the same problem I had a few weeks ago,and after samsung change the camera modul, everything is perfect....wish you good luck ...

good night, wanted to know if you have the option of slimming face in front selfie mode camra of s6 (fat ) (my model 920i )
there any way to have it? try installing a rom based s7, but the camera app is the stock of s6 help me please
the problem with galaxy s7 camera is, that the app supports different hardware. there will be no way to completely port the s7 camera apk to the galaxy s6.
so every "s7 base" rom still has to use some party, libraries and so on from the galaxy s6, including the s6 camera.apk
My phone's front facing camera gives my face a blurry look while background seems to be finely focused. I know that this has been a problem for many s7 users too. I wonder what you guys think about that if i go to samsung service and have my front camera changed, can this problem possibly be solved ? Anyone tried this yet? , any results?
I think it may have to do with the fact that the camera is fixed focus, not autofocus like almost any other phone front camera. Having it replaced might not do much if the error is within the phone's configuration (in the NAND), but if Samsung will do it for free, why not try?
I really want a solution to this annoying detail. Looking for people who tried this as a solution and got any result on this particular problem.
But as you said, why not if it's free of charge.
i got a new camera in my s7 and its same...i told them it makes blurry images and they replaced the camera but its the same again...still blurry...background is fine but my face is smudged...even 5 year old nokia does it better... someone sad that sgs7 front camera is set to infinity mode ,but u cant change it so ur stuck with it....shame on Samsung....overall probably the best in android world ,specialy the back camera focus... and for the note Samsung will replace ur camera for free...THEY MUST!!! hope i helped u clarify things...cheers.
I have tested my Black Onyx S7 and havent had any issues with the internal 'selfie' camera.
Clear and sharp images of my grumbly mug at the office,, working on a weekend *grumble*
Might be worth checking with Samsung, see if they will swap it out and offer some feedback?
Thanks for the experience sharing. I know that many samsung s7 has this problem but what frustrates me is that i checked one other s7 in store and it was better in quality in terms of sharpness and details. So why not my phone have that quality. That is my problem
This is a flagship phone and s4 takes better selfies. Samsung should beware of this problem, should feel sorry and replace front cameras with better ones in services.
Hello everyone. I've been using a S8+ for the last 2 months and I've been wondering about HDR feature on camera. Before I got this device I used a Galaxy Note 4 and I was already pleased with the HDR quality there. In fact, I remember that Note 4 had a great average measurement of light, for example, shadows got brighter and skies darker bringing to live a very good photograph. With S8 plus I've noticed HDR mostly calibrates the brightest areas, living shadows basically the same. I could understand this behaviour in HDR Auto mode but not in HDR mode. Is this just my impression or anyone shares my view? I'm using the European unlocked model. SM-G955F.
