[Magisk] [Mod] Omniswitch , Omni sounds - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Themes, Apps, and Mods

DISCLAIMER
Code:
Nothing revolutionary will happen
So don't expect any miracles from this thread .
Also I am not responsible if you get addicted
to Omni switch or Omni sounds .
Flash at your own risk
Hello readers, you might be familiar with Omni rom and the goodies that it ships with ..... Yes I am talking about the awesome and revolutionary omni-switch .
As you all know not every Rom offers that amazing recent styles and tbh I am very much fond of that style and I hope there are many users out there who also like it and want to use it on other roms . So I present you guys with 3 things
omni switch style
system ui sounds
splash screen
The first two are in the form of magisk module so that's a very good thing for the guys who are scared of getting their devices rekt lol
So coming to the instructions all you need to do is read carefully the below things
1) Omni switch
it contains the omni switch apk and the toggle apk
it's a magisk module
user need to get the files from afh & flash via RECOVERY
remember the word RECOVERY
Note : After flashing Omni switch module user need to configure their single press recent key to use Omni switch otherwise it won't work properly . You can find this option under your hardware keys button feature options
2) Omni sounds
contains ui sounds
included only 3 sounds bcs thats what i needed
charging sound , locking phone , unlocking phone sound included
magisk module
flash through RECOVERY
And now the final one i.e splash screen
It's just a Snapdragon logo on dark background. The reason to make this splash screen is BCS the one available here has a white line at the top portion which somewhere I don't like ...so I thought of creating a new one .
Requirements : magisk 16.0 + & custom recovery installed
Links below :
Omni switch
Omni sounds
splash screen
Credits :
*Omni team ( for Omni switch and sounds )
*Topjohnwu (for magisk )
*GokuINC ( for splash tool )
*Utkarshp64 ( I used his magisk template)
*p0358 ( I used his magisk template)
*Anurag (that guy gave the splash )
*XDA (for platform )
*You guys (for using it )
If you feel like your name should be under credits list then just tag or quote me I will look into it .
TL;dr = just get the above files and flash via recovery

THE MODULES WERE TESTED ON NON TREBLE 8.1.0 ROMS . IT WILL WORK ON TREBLE TOO
some useful threads :
1) you can have a look at the this thread by @ArK96 for more variety of splash screen
2)You can visit this thread and get the flashable zip for Omniswitch if you don't want to use my magisk module
If you guys want to add more ui sounds then just simply unzip my module and place the ui sounds at appropriate location and again zip it .

Many thanks friend!

I flashed omni sound through recovery and it didn't work help plz

In some roms the charging ui sound is named as "battery plugge"d while in some others it's" dock " so u can just edit accordingly and get it working .

so I added this on an essential phone - PH-1 - and it works fine save the "recent apps." Is there anotheh setting to allow access to recents?

Where is omni sounds in mobile,I install omni sounds buy can't find it

Just a notice in case you want to update this module:
On android pie this module didn't work. After assigning the omniswitch action to a key, pressing the key resulted in a short flash on the screen, but omniswitch did not open.
I found these omniswitch flashables , but those were not magisk, but actually worked.
So I replaced the apk in your magisk zip with the pie one from that link and now it works 'almost' flawlessly.
The only minor issue I found so far is that omniswitch itself is shown among recent apps and I have not found a way to hide it.
And the 'Active since' setting doesn't work.
I haven't really understood the purpose of the toggle.apk since it works without it. So I've created a zip with and without that toggle for testing.
Needs to be flashed in recovery, not in the magisk manager app.

[APP][ROOT][4.4+]Custom ROM Manager 5.5.0

Custom ROM Manager finds all the ROMs, GApps and other zip files that are downloaded on your device, lets you install or manage them easily. It also helps you visit official sites of some ROMs/GApps from where you can download them or see changelog.
NOTE: This app does not search the internet for ROMs, GApps and other mods for your device. You have to download them from their respective sites yourself to your device. Then this app will take care of the rest.

Key Features
Finds all the zip files on your device - Custom ROM Manager features multiple file searching algorithms to find the zip files on your device. They are fast, customizable or both fast and customizable at the same time. Users can even choose their file searching technique to their liking.
Sorting and grouping of zip files - After zip files have been found, app sorts and groups them to their appropriate category, like detects which of them are ROMs, GApps etc. It can even detect the properties of a ROM/GApp, like their build dates, version, whether or not they are OFFICIAL builds and what not. The techniques used are efficient and smart.
Popular ROMs/GApps - The app shows list of popular ROMs/GApps. They are selected based on observations of the most popular and most user responded ROM threads across the XDA forums for top devices, and they are listed alphabetically in the app. App is also capable of detecting other ROMs, which will be listed in the "Other ROMs" category.
Official information for popular ROMs/GApps - For all the popular ROMs/GApps listed, you can even check their official information. Like their official sites, download pages etc. It can even check whether your device is officially supported or not, and depending on this, it will open download page for your device when you visit their download page.
Disclaimer - The app makes use of the information that is already available on the internet. It does not use any unauthorized or confidential data. The links are also opened in an external web browser of user's choice, not in some in-app browser or something like that.
Manage your ROMs/GApps - Under each popular ROM/GApp listing, you can see the builds present on your device listed their. Like all your LineageOS ROMs gets listed under "LineageOS" category. You can view them in any way, view them in sorted order based on their build dates or version, or see only unofficial ROMs, or official ROMs. You can delete them, view them etc.
Install them - And finally, you can select them for flashing/installation. This is arguably the most significant feature of the app. You can choose any number of zips for flashing, you can specify which partitions to be wiped before each zip is flashed. You can modify your selection in any way you want, like re-order your selection, delete any entry and what not. And finally, when you confirm, device will boot into (TWRP) recovery, flashing the zips in the very order you selected.
To see the complete feature list, visit the play store page or XDA Labs page.

Well I am not much acquainted with Xposed and its modules coz I don't use it, but I remember they are .apk's.
Can you link me to those zip files which you are talking about, so that I can take a look and add it in next update?

And sorry I just forgot that modules are apk
And if there is way to get kernels differently, is also welcomed.

We will see about xposed.
And custom kernel support is not possible because various devices have various custom kernel, sorting them would be simply not possible..

Great app.
Very useful especially for beginners.
But I have 4 main requests that will improve the app :
1_it's really bothering that every time I want to launch the app it scans for zip files, it takes a lot of time especially for the low-end phones and for phones that have large Memory.
Maybe you should make it saves the path of the zips and names and add a refresh button in the AppBar in case we add new zip.
2_Add wipe davlik-cache,
It's really needed when flashing modes.
3_maybe in the future you should add an options to explore the zip and extract some files.
4_add a new layout for backup and restore specific files from system (build.prop_framework-res....etc) or the whole ROM and save it as a flashable zip in case the flashed ROM has bootloop or some problem you can restore it form recovery.
Sorry for asking a lot I know it's the first release and that is a lot to ask.
So far the app works great and the design is simple and beautiful as usual (I know from your previous apps)
Thanks for your hard work
Great app UI and Idea, but on my Nexus 6 XOSP 6.3, It doesnt detect anything. I give the root access and storage permission, but it stays at "uhh, nothing here". And thats really it. Any idea? Is there some folder i need to put my zips in?(like delta uses). Thanks!

Sorry for late reply, I was busy in the mean time with M and N bringups for some devices.
In Marshmallow ROMs, there is a problem detecting internal storage, which will be fixed in next update, which will come very soon.
Edit: 1.5 is up, check labs
Update 2.5
With previous update (2.0 and 2.1), app was recoded from scratch, resulting in many optimizations and bug fixes.
For example, with 2.0, came better storage detection logic and faster file scanning algorithm, while 2.1 added more modern UI elements.
With 2.5 comes many of the requested features like Zip scan caching, separate option for dalvik cache, and new features like search, respective logos for popular custom ROMs etc.
Please refer to XDA Labs for full changelog.
And do rate and review .
Version 3.0 was released with many cool features.
- Zip selection for flashing was totally revamped. When you tap a card, it will now flip and you will see various partitions you can wipe. Select any if you want to and then tap the card back, it will flip back and notify that the zip has been selected for flashing. And now you can even update what you want to wipe by tapping one of the already selected card back and re-doing the drill. You can even remove it from the flash queue.
- The UI where you are shown what you are going to flash (i.e flash queue) is also revamped.
- Statistics section is also revamped, now shows total size each class of zip is consuming.
- You can also perform TWRP backup and restore operations from the app.
- Some SU related issues (especially on newer security models) were fixed.
- There are always under the hood performance improvements and cleanups.
And all this feature additions barely saw the app size rising. Do check the new screenshots under screenshots tab.
And btw, Custom ROM Manager was released in Play Store too, few days back.

Maybe was i to lazy to find it, but it took already a lot of Time to find the "Custom ROM Manager". How can i add My LIGHT PATCH to the Patch Section of Your Project? I wold like to push Your App by default alongside with My Patch in the Future to use it as kind of OTA Updater. Maybe could You direct Me, or do i even have something new for You? (Checking build.prop for the Patch Version so the App can advise a Update if needed!?)
Would be cool to be Part of that! I'm really looking forward to contribute to it...

This twrp does not decrypt htc encryption still.
while using the decrypted boot.img it can access all features
backup/restore etc.
using on a encrypted storage will not work still. atleast until captain throwback comes back with the correct mods needed.
New link is up, located a few issues and removed them.
Boot.img was being pre-rooted and was causing a hang, no longer a issue.
The setup wizard has been removed, the default homescreen was cleaned, almost all bs apps are gone, ill update with a newer version here soon.
Just need to flash the su zip after first boot, the fingerprint and service issues shouldnt be present in this build anymore.
old system size was well over 12gb. Now it's at a healthy 8gb debloated.. What a difference.
delete please
Is hot-spot unlocked?
Revived for any Htc bolt users out there, ill update some good screenshots here in a few!!
Hope this helps someone out!! Hit the Thanks on OP if it did!!
Screenshots added to the Post / Pay attention to status bar, I made sure to include some with 3Minit battery options and different locations.
Re-uploading Rom with some apps moved to User-data instead of System/App; Cleaning up scripts and removing dead directories.

a lot of it has to do with the design of the phone being its metal. Unfortunately its not something im able to deture much. You could reduce temps some by under-clocking the processor or reducing the amount of use the processor is going through, kernel auditor or similar apps give you the ability to scale back the cpu, but you will take a performance hit doing so. A case at least removes some of the heat transfer to your hands but inst much of a "fix"
does this rom have radio

[ROM][8.0][STABLE][J600XX]NcX S8+ Port

NcX S8+ PortSo I'm finally sharing this ROM lol.
A lot of the people that are in my Telegram group already knew about this ROM from long ago. I just felt lazy to upload it to xda. And now I feel bad about it xD
Because if I do say so myself, it is my best work.
Yes, it's still Oreo. Right now, porting Pie to Pie seems to be difficult-impossible due to some deodexing stuff and such, son don't expect me to try to port anything related to Pie (specially because I am not a huge fan over OneUI. I'd take Samsung Experience's looks over it any day
Well, with that said. Here is what you can expect from this ROM

Instructions!-Create full backup before trying
-Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik

FAQ
[Q] My phone is stuck in bootloop/infinite boot, what should I do?
[A] It is normal for first instalation to take aprox 10-20 minutes on first boot, let it sit for a little bit
[Q] Even after 20 minutes, my phone is still in a bootloop/infinite boot, what can I do?
[A] It is possible that your previoius Android setup is conflicting with this new setup. Please, do the following:
1. FORMAT DATA (not WIPE, FORMAT!)
2. Try the instalation of NcX again
[Q] My phone will still not boot, what is my last resort?
[A] Please do the following:
Re-install NcX
After installation finishes, select "Save Logs"
It will save a .txt file in your memory, please post so I can review your problem
[Q] I've found a bug, what should I do
[A] Please read the "Bugs" section of the thread to see if your bug has been reported, if it hasn't, please let me know exactly what the problem is so I can take a look
[Q] My phone isn't rooted, even though I selected a root method
[A] Please make sure you root via Magisk. SuperSU is only there for testing and did not work.
[Q] The phone is going way too slow!
[A] Caused by Magisk. Just reboot the phone 2 or 3 times and the lag will be gone forever.
[Q] Something bothers me and I want it fixed/changed
[A] Please, kindly make a request and if it's within my grasp, I'll try to fix it. Just, don't be rude and demand something. Either that or return to stock, your choice

How to report a bug/Ask for a change
Over the small amount of time I've been doing my edits and shared them with the community, I've noticed something that seems to irritate me. I can't speak for all the developers on this forum, but I do edits/ROMs/PORTs/etc... to what I like. I don't work for anybody else but me. I share my work because it may have something of value to other people and/or some people may share the same taste as me on regards to what they want on a ROM.
That being said, that doesn't mean I will completely ignore what the community has to say.
First and foremost, it must be said, I am merely a beginner. I do not claim to be a professional developer that knows how to add everything, I am nowhere close and I learn as I go.
There are ways to ask for something and/or report a bug when it comes to ROMs, and this post is my attempt to try to explain how to (and how not to) report a bug in order to help me out as much as possible to try to fix something
You can also ask for something to be added, but there are also ways to ask for something
So, here we go
Keep in mind:
I do not add stuff that can easily be downloaded from the Playstore
I, myself, don't do kernel edits
I COULD remove stuff if NOBODY uses it
---REPORTING BUGS---
How NOT to report a bug:
"SystemUI (or any app)is crashing, please help!"
"Instagram doesn't allow me to edit my post, what could be wrong?"
"My bank account app is not letting me do such thing"
These posts are sort of pointless as they only state something but I have no context on what could be causing it. Also, I can't really control (for the most part) third-party apps, so if you're going to ask about them this way, don't even bother
A slightly better way to report a bug:
"I clean installed the ROM and was working fine, after I installed Facebook and logged in, I immediately uploaded a photo and SystemUI started to crash. Can you look in to it?"
"I tried to install Black Neon theme (a link to it would work as well) and it was working fine until I tried to activate AOD (or anything else for some reason) and SystemUI (or any other app) is crashing, could you look in to it?"
"My bank account app doesn't let me take a screenshot of my accounts. I get a toast notification saying "Can't take screenshot due to security policy"
As you can see, this provides a bit more context and explanation on your current situation. This gives me a little more detail on trying to replicate the problem and hopefully could fix it by replicating it. Well, except for point #3 which is out of my hands for the most part (I think). If you include what kernel you're using would make everything better! Also any significant change that would require root (like xposed and or anything that modifies /system also needs to be informed for better results)

---ASKING FOR STUFF TO BE ADDED---
How NOT to ask for stuff:
On your next update, add iris scanner
You should add (app) on your next update
Hey, please add (app or feature) on your next update
No, I do not work for you. Even if you say please like the third example, that doesn't mean you're being polite. It still sounds like an order lol so you should probably rephrase your request.
How to ask for stuff to be added to my work:
Would you be so kind to add (feature) to your ROM, if possible?
Would it be possible to add this app to your ROM?
Please, can you add (feature) to your ROM, if it isn't much to ask?
See how politeness makes everything better? You're not demanding it, you're just politely asking to see if maybe it is within my grasp to add something. And if all request would be like this, I can assure you I'd try my best to add said feature
I hope this is useful to you or I at least hope that some people read it.
If not, I can just tell you to return to stock ROM, probably better than any ROM I put out anyway
Enjoy

Enable Secure Folder on NcX S8+
Hi guys, just here with a quick update.
For those unaware, there was a pretty cool breakthrough when it came to finally enabling Secure Folder on rooted software (Pie) in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/development/secure-folder-patch-custom-rom-t3949878
(Would appreciate it if you visit and give thanks)
Now since then, I really wanted to fix it on Oreo but the methods were vastly different.
Thankfully, @khongloi113 helped me step by step to try and fix it for Oreo.
And that's exactly what he did, he fixed it for Oreo too
So, for those who want to enable Secure Folder on this ROM, flash the zip attached
For now, the fix is only available for this Oreo ROM, since there are some methods that khongloi113 changed that I have not been able to pin point.
Oh and, if it doesn't work for you, all you have to do is go to the Galaxy Store and update Secure Folder through there. Then it should work fine.
Enjoy!
Does this ROM work on J6+?
I tried here and it gets an error message saying that it cannot validate device tree table...

All you have to do is flash the zip like if you were flashing a ROM, without wiping anything.
That's all you need to do

Instructions can be found over here: https://github.com/Miustone/M.A.R.S.#instructions
I was about to flash Arrow in my device, what are the main differences with this?
You will get a lot more native Android and Pixel Features such as Pixel Setup Wizard, Pixel Feature Drop Functions, Extreme Battery Mode, better overall Quality for Media Consumption and Recording of it. It also removes ARROW OS Apps for Pixel Apps and the Installer does also Trim Your Storage if You follow My Instructions. Your Device will perform a lot better and the battery usage should be also optimized. I have a long History with Qualcomm Devices and know My Stuff. There will come a lot more next and i really love to keep everything clean like ARROW OS does...
Hope You will like it! Just keep in Mind it is a BETA Actually. Means Pixel Launcher isn't working right Yet, and not everything is present Yet. My biggest Problem is the Prop Patching which i haven't used in Years. That causes a lack of My Prop Configs :/ The actual Version includes a slightly patched Vendor build.prop but that will cause trouble with ARROW OS Updates...
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Miustone/MARS_SOM/master/MARS_SOM/system.prop
Hope i can get it to work next.

That's caused by the Ported Pixel UI. The Status Bar is bigger on the Pixel 5 based on the Camera. The Dot is a Side Effect that will be fixed soon.

What isn't easy? You just need to read... Download the Zip from My Homepage, place it on Your Phone and flash it with Your Recovery. Handle it like a new ROM and done (Do a Full Wipe followed by a ROM flash before flashing MARS).
Download link is dead...

Didn't quite understand the question
If you are talking about root, then I put magisk 24.3 right after the firmware. Everything works fine, I like the firmware very much, it's fast, it keeps the battery perfectly
Nice, thanks!!!
Awesome!
I'm a new user to S20 FE and i'm still not using custom roms like i've always done on my previous phones (Trying not to root it for once in my life lol), but it is very good to know i have such good option when i decide to start.
Keep up the good work

he's asking if dual application profile works on the stock rom for you when you are rooted ?
I've been using
ProjectX for 3 days - everything seems fine except dual messenger which doesn't work
it is fluent without interruptions - I had root problems but I solved them - battery consumption seems normal, but it could have been better
Looks like you did a good job = merci =
madadictromtester
Is there any way to enable 5 signal bars on the status bar?
Edit: Here's how you do it: extract the ProjectX files, head into "META-INF\addons", then open up "csc.zip", go into "omc" folder, extract the "cscfeature.xml" and edit it with notepad (or anything, really).
At the end of the whole weird-looking text (in cscfeature.xml), make a new line and add:
Code:
<CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigMaxRssiLevel>5</CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigMaxRssiLevel>
Save it and pack that .xml file back into the zip, then pack the ProjectX files again into a zip. After that, flash it.
I can confirm this works!
would it be possible to enable encryption?
What does the ProjectX kernel do? Does it overcloak something or improve battery consumption? Unsure if it's worth to flash it.

if you want to keep encryption you could flash back to stock completely, flash twrp, boot straight into it and then try to flash ProjectX from OTG storage. that might work or it might not, twrp would be overwritten by the stock recovery almost instantly.

the zip file has the stock boot.img in it. you can try the ProjectX kernel and flash back to the stock one (install image) if you don't like it.
honestly I'm not sure what it's feature list is.
