With the additions yesterday, Samsung announced that wireless charging would be 120 minutes for full charge.
Do you think that the wireless charging dock which will come out with the Note and Edge+ phones would support the S6?
I want a wireless charger for convenience, but don't want to end up buying a normal mat when the newer ones will have fast charge.
They're still using Qi from what I can tell, so it should work fine. The Qi fast charging spec is backwards compatible - while you won't get the 14W charging, it'll still do the regular Qi fine.
Now that the aftermarket Qi stickers for the LG V10 have hit the virtual store shelves, (I ordered mine but have not yet received it), I was wondering:
Does the LG V10 support fast wireless Qi charging or is that something that is particular to the Samsung S6 and Note 5?
I was persuaded that the Qi chargers from Choetech offer the best value for the money. There are two particular models in which I am interested.
Standard
CHOETECH Mini Qi Wireless Charger for all Qi-Enabled Devices (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013AB63YW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_RJDtwbSV0HENH
Fast
Fast Wireless Charger-CHOE Circle QI Fast Charge Wireless Charger Charging Pad (with Smart Lighting Sensor)for Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge+ and All Qi-Enabled Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015351VC2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_QNDtwbE1343CE
In the description it states:
Two modes for wireless charging: Fast Charge Mode(10W Output Max) for your Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+, Standard Charge Mode(Output 5W Max) for your standard QI enabled device.
The extra cost of the fast charger is certainly, but only worth it if the phone supports it. So my question is, do only the newest Samsung phones support fast Qi charging, or does the LG V10 support fast Qi charging as well (only that this charger came out before the LG V10 is the reason it's not mentioned)?
This is the official LG wireless charging back. It does not mention Fast Qi charging, so I'm inclined to say it does not at this time.

The CPR-120 does not work with choetech FAST CHARGE pad, I have tried it, did not worked.
No, it does not.
I ordered 2 of those (leather version) from China, it's RMB$55 each, that is around USD$8 each
So I just got Samsung's new convertible style fast wireless charger for my S8+. The design is clever and it looks and works great, but I noticed Fast Charging is only supported as long as you are using the original Samsung charging adapter(wall adapter) that came in the box. I have tried using QC 3.0 certified chargers from Aukey, BlitzWolf, Anker etc. but the charger only charges the phone with standard Qi speed.
This was not the case with older Samsung wireless fast charger that came out last year, Any ideas guys?
Hello,
I am new to this forum but after searching on the net i want to ask people that know more about the stuff then i do.
In the past i modded my Paperwhite 2 Reader with a internal wireless charging receiver and it works fine.
Now i upgraded my wireless charger (because of my Samsung S8) to a Nillkin PowerFlash charger powerd by a Blitzwolf BW-PL3 Qi charger.
Charging my Paperwhite (5V) and fastcharge my S8 (9V 1,3A) are working fine. Now i search for a option to wireless charge my Samsung Tab A 10.5.
But every receiver i can find deliveres only 5V ~1A (in real they deliver only 700-900mA).
Are there Type C receivers out there that are able to use the fastcharge protocol to get the 9V 1-1,7A charging?
I have this smartphone and the 20W charger from Xiaomi and it doesn't charge quickly. Is it compatible with wireless fast charging devices that are not Samsung's?
We currently use our Note 10s with numerous Tylt Vu and Seneo PA014 wireless chargers. The Tylt is not fast wireless specs. The Seneo is spec'd for fast and my phone does show Fast Wireless charging on it.
There answer is yes, fast wireless charging does work with non-Samsung chargers.
