Losing network signal - T-Mobile LG G5 Questions & Answers

Am new to LG I've a G5 T-mobile rooted using it outside US, the issue is I lose signal alot when am on 3G even when am in a good coverage area. Coming from Htc flashing modems fixed that unless it's an hardware issue. So my question is it possible to flash a different modem on G5? Or any fix or suggestions would be helpful.

Looking for other networks with ATT service..possible?

I remember back when I had the Wizard with TMobile I was able to jump from TMo's network to Amerilink PCS since Amerilink had much better coverage. I'm experiencing the same problem but now with ATT in SoCal, when I try to search for a new network all it says is Registering on the Network but without giving me a pop-up window with a choice of available networks. I've tried changing the bands to all possible options but its either no service, regular AT&T, or 3G AT&T none with more than 2 bars of signal. Is there anyway to do this on the Fuze like I did on my old wizard? Thanks for any help. I checked for similar posts but I couldn't find any relating to this with any solutions for what I've got.
There are other carries the phone will work on but you have to be on their network. If you are having signal issues you might want to look into flashing a new radio to the phone. I know it improved my signal when I did.

Samsung Blaze with AT&T (instead of T-Mobile)

I have a Samsung Blaze (originally for use with T-Mobile) and would like to use it on the AT&T network. It is already unlocked. I can make/receive calls and texts with my AT&T sim in the phone.
On AT&T's network, my fastest speed test so far is around 7 Mbps down and around 1.2 Mbps up.
I have been reading for a while now in these forums about how it is possible to flash a different software modem into various Samsung phones in order to get better functionality or data speeds while using these phones.
If I want to get faster download speeds or even functionality with AT&T's LTE network, then is it as simple as flashing a new modem, perhaps the Skyrocket modem? Or am I limited by the hardware itself?
Is flashing a new modem into a Blaze 4G even necessary since I keep reading about how people are solving their slow bandwidth issues by flashing a Blaze modem into their phones?
It would be nice if I can avoid buying an AT&T device, but if I have to do that, are there any recommendations from anyone?

[Q] problem with radios for tmobile

I am having a little trouble with radios to get on t-mobile...
The problem is that if I have a stock ATT radio, I get amazing voice/text signal, but I only get Edge Data speeds...
When I flash 989 radios, I get 4g speeds, but my voice/text signal drops to almost non-existent...
I was wondering if there is any solution to this, or any way to edit the radios to have the best of both worlds
thanks.

[Q] D6603 POOR RECEPTION Bell Canada GSM

Hi,
I've been using my Xperia Z3 D6603 for about 2 weeks now on the Virgin Mobile (Bell Mobilily) network in Canada and the network reception is horrible. The signal keeps bouncing from 2-3 bars to zero bars wherever I go. My habits have not changed since using an LG G3 which I never experienced signal problems with. I think it's something to do with the phone not being able to connect to GSM and connects to CDMA only. I think this bc when I go to GSM only under network settings it won't connect at all.
What I've tried:
- Installed generic Canadian firmware
- Went to GSM only under network setting, and have NO Signal
- Entered Virgin's APN settings
Does anyone else have any suggestions?? This is such a nice phone and would love to keep if I can get the signal issue fixed.

Oh man, I really hope it's not hardware...
This might be a dumb question, but are you sure you have D6603 and not another variant?

[Q] Modem for 930F used on ATT(Cricket)

I have a 930F that I use in the USA on Cricket Wireless which uses the ATT network. I am not sure what modem to flash as sammobile does not have any USA ATT modems listed. I am receiving poor signal and would like to update the modem to attempt to remedy this. Does anyone know a good modem to flash for USA ATT use? Can 930U modems be flashed on a 930F?
Thanks,
Orthok

I have a 930F and I am on ATT. Since the time I have installed custom Roms, I always used the latest Modem file. I am on SuperMan v2.2 at the moment. I haven't seen any that have increased my battery signal over any of the others. Maybe someone can chime in of the 930U modem, but frankly, I would just keep to the 930Fs. You must of had a different phone that your comparing your signal quality with your 930F?

Yah my S5 on the same network would receive show better signal. 930FXXU1DQB1 is the baseband I'm showing on my 930F, what baseband are you on?
DQB1, same as yours. Even with low signal, I haven't had a dropped call or any data disconnection, just more battery drain cause the phone boosts the signal reception. When I'm at work, my signal is weak and my battery drains so much faster than when I am at home with a better signal.
