Blu energy xl, replace charging port - General Questions and Answers

I've came to the conclusion that my charging port is bad, or disconnected from the board inside. I've my reasons to believe so due to exhaustive testing and fix attempts trying every other means.
I'm a techy and I'm definitely in my element by repairing a phone.
I'd like some info or guides to follow along about cracking this phone open and checking the soldering connection from the port to the board, or, if necessary, to replace it. I'd hate to go into it blind.
I'd like to get the phone on and get the model number but no luck.
It's a blu energy xl and here's a picture:

After extensive googling, I can't even find out if it's possible to crack open this phone without breaking it. Is it possible?
It's not the pure xl, or studio, or anything else. As far as I'm aware it's just blu energy xl.

New Dev - Good idea?

OK so i am wanting to make a new project but im not sure if what i have on the table right now is something worth going for. Its going to be a massive multi-tool that supports multiple phones including android, apple and possibly windows. It will be able to root your device if a way has been found for it. It will also have Semi-GUI layouts for programs such as ADB, NVFlash and so on. This will be a massive project, massive size and massive amounts of updates... almost daily as things change almost daily. But if it can be done i am thinking it would be the best tool out there and the most hated by some... hopefully not to much though. Here is a pic of something i threw together in a hour or so and has a project from december on the tf101. Please let me know what everyone thinks even if its bad or good. If you can code Visual Basic and want in let me know. I could use a hand lol.

I am looking for an app/adapter that would allow you to power your wired home phone system using your cell phone. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use a cable, like the one shown, to simply plug my cell phone into one of the home phone jacks to provide service to the wired phones etc. I'm hoping to find a carrier neutral solution. Do you know of anything like this?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I searched the internet for a half hour before posting this question, and I found a solution on Amazon only moments after doing so.
It's the Cobra Phonelynx. It uses Bluetooth instead of a cable, and it's under $20. I'll post a review as soon as it arrives.

[Caller Echo] [Tip] Before replacing your entire charging port/mic flex...

For those of you that run into mic issues where your caller reports hearing an echo of themselves, be sure to check whether or not you've accidentally switched the rubber doodads for your top mic (GREY) and bottom mic (BLACK).

I recently purchased a bare bones screen assembly and while in the process of moving my previous Nexus' innards, I accidentally switched the two. For the longest time, I've tried flashing OS's, stock ROMs, and even replaced my entire charging port/mic flex assembly as recommended by others here. All helpful tips and suggestions and narrowed down possible causes.
So for those of you with this issue, learn from my mistakes, this little change will save you time, money, and from days of head banging and hair pulling.
Hope someone finds this useful and informational, even if it was something so minuscule and seemingly irrelevant.
:fingers-crossed:

Enable Lg V50 Second Screen with V500VM phone

I apologize if this has already been addressed, I have searched and have not found this anywhere or the information I am looking for.
I purchased a phone of ebay called a LG V50 model V500VM also called Verizon. This phone has the 3 pogo pins on the back of it, which I
believe the "official" Verizon phone did not have. I have updated the verizon software via OTA and had no issues.
I picked up a second screen case with 3 pogo pins as well hoping they would somehow function together, which they are not.
What can I do to make them work together?
Thanks for any help or suggestions, I would like to make this work somehow.
I have also attached a picture of the case and phone backs below.

Anyone? No bone to toss my way?
