Hi
I have an S8 and have installed the black graffiti theme from the samsung store, in order to set the system menus to a look I am happy with. This is a black/white/grey colour scheme.
It works well enough, but the colours on the sliders in the system settings are bright (white) when set to "off" and grey when set to "on". I would like to have them coloured the other way.
What is the best way to modify this? I don't really want to trawl through all the themes on line.

Use a program to alter the theme. I forget the name of it, just Google it. Open the theme with the app and make the adjustment.
you can use ui tweaker: http://freewareppc.com/utilities/uitweaker.shtml
fantastic freeware app that works well. i'm using wm6.1 and it's flawless. there are 4 tabs to choose from for changing the colors. for your needs, i would think that the tab "system colors" or something like that will change the color of the bar you want. just remember that except for the today colors, you would have to peform a soft reset to enable the changes. also, you would need to practice a little to find out that the bar you're tweaking / changing colors is indeed the one you want. i often made mistakes in changing the notification bars and ended up changing the color of other areas.
cheers
Hi.
I don't think this is an easy one, but I'll ask anyway.
When you use "Pictures & Videos" to select an image to use as your Today background, you are given the option of "Transparency Level". I just wondered if there's a way to select what colour is 'behind' the image when you do this. At the moment, it's white (or close enough), so the image gets lighter with more transparency. I would like it black, so that the image gets darker with more transparency. Realistically, you should be able to assign any colour, so you can almost colourize an image by altering its transparency.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.

It is not a " white colored " background. It is a " lack of color " background, no image.
You cannot overlap two today background images.

I don't want to "overlap" two today background images. If you read the question, you'll see that I've explained the background colour is white, which it is.
Set the background image to 100% transparent and you'll see white. A background with a "lack of colour" would actually be black (see transparency, 0 value colour etc. for both windows & web development.)
Something, somewhere, defines that white is used as the background colour (it may actually be an overlay for the image, with inverse transparency, as opposed to a transparent image over a solid colour.) This may be a registry entry, but it's just as likely hard-coded into the OS. Either way, that is my question.
Thanks for trying to help.
There are so many beautiful themes to make the home screen and wall paper beautiful, but I just don't understand why is there apparently no way to modify the lame white over black background in some of the things like Settings, the apps tab, etc., or at least I haven't been able to find it out.
Does anyone know of any possible way to do that? A simple change of background/foreground color would be nice.
Hi everyone. Today I was messing with the stock live wallpaper, both the Z4 one (with flat colors) and the regular one, and I realized that sometimes the one that changes colors when you interact with it can create some pretty beautifu shades. Is there any way to mod the apk so I can manually set a color using RGB values or something like that, or a modded apk that allows more colors? I really like certain shades between green and blue on the regular one and the shade between white and blue on the Z4 one, but none of them allow me to stay on that color.
From my limited experience in apk modding I think it's probably some value in a file inside the apk that you can edit, so for example you can set one of the stock colors to a different one, but I haven't tried anything yet. If anyone could tell me exactly how to change it, tell me if there is a modded apk, or make a modded apk, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
with previous galaxy phones I was able to change the color of my text chat bubbles. I can't seem to find the option to do that on my s7. T-mobile version.

I don't think we can. I'm sure we'll get the option back a while after we have a root method. Until then you can use a 3rd part app. Personally I just use a different theme. Find one that you like and then change the background to something you prefer (or keep what comes with the theme).
I use superman rom and ı want to change bubble backgroud color is there a way for it
Change the phone theme
I have a J3 and a J7... when I change themes, the messaging background changes and the text color changes, but the bubble colors do NOT change to the new theme. (Obviously a bug). The result is that one cannot use any theme on these phones unless it has dark text, because the default bubble colors are light with dark text. That's a problem since I find a light background hurts my eyes... so when I change to any dark theme (that uses dark bubble colors and white text), the text is unreadable. This is bull**** that the phones did away with ability to control bubble color AND the themes don't work properly here.
can confirm just updated yesterday s7 and no matter what theme I use the incoming bubble is white SO IS THE ****ING TEXT ARGH , only solution for now is high contrast but it looks dumb (black outline of white text)
Swipe your screen diagonally. It will take you to the dark screen where you can search your phone. Search for message+ on the phone. It will have a red message widget. The default widget is blue. Switch your message to the red widget. You should be able to customize your conversation bubbles and notification alert tones. Just figured this out today.
