no way you are rooted when you flashed the latest firmware via odin
and can't you just press on the oem-unlock button to lock the bootloader again?

That's because knox is tripped, you can't undo that, shouldn't of rooted the phone if you wanted those apps to function.

Nobody can, you lost your warranty by rooting the phone. Now you have to live with that.

I'm not talking about root. I'm talking about unlocking the bootloader so you can flash modified kernels and what not.

Ok. SO how do i know if it´s unlocked? Because i bought this s6 used....
The problem is the Verizon S6 family is currently unable to have modified bootloader files as no one has found a way to change them with or without tripping Knox, the security suite on our phones. Hell, everything updated past Firmware update OF1 isn't even rooted yet and no one is sure when or if we will even have one. Basically what I'm saying is, there is no way for you to get the international ROM onto your phone unless you just happened to either crack the system yourself or the person you got it from managed to find a way without telling the world about it.
Word of advice, you can have a phone that is rooted with a flashed ROM but still have a locked bootloader. In our case it was due to an exploit that was patched.

New rooting method, anyone tried?

Hi, as we know we dont have to unlock bootloader to rooting the phone. But on Honor 8 its only possible to have rooted phone by flashing supersu script by twrp.
So, anyway, you tried kingroot method? (Below link to download). Works on many phones. Then you can remove it by script to have supersu app.
Anyone to test?

Oh, i just seen too. So i clicked " request".
I will looking if they make it available because with this method we will not loss warranty by unlocking bootloader.

I don't think one click root methods work for any newer phones since like Android 4.4 or maybe Android 5.0.
Anyway all you have to do is "fastboot oem relock bootloader xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" (x represents your 14 digit unlock code you get from Huawei website) and your bootloader is relocked. Just remember every time you unlock or relock it factory resets your phone.

But when service will check the phone they will see bootloader status as relocked. So you will loss warranty.

'Enable OEM Unlock' not working?

This is happening to me on a Samsung s7... I was able to install a form previously, but then I went back to the official version using Odin.
Now when I click the OEM unlock and 'Enable', the button turns itself off Any ideas?

Since you have unlocked the bootloader, you won't do it again. You have to lock it first, if possible (I have no experience with this model).

Apparently you are out of luck without root, but if you want to do one thing from relocking bootloader and rooting, rooting would be easier.
Also if you brick your device you would still have options if you have unlocked bootloader.
