Does Google pay work on the Android P developer preview?
Also is it easy to recert back to 8.1 if I have some if the issues others are having?

I received an email for google stating that Tap and Pay will no longer be supported in versions of Android older than 4.4. Below is the email.
I hadn't heard anything about this, does anyone have any more information?
Do you know if I keep the same version of the app I have currently, which works, if there will be issues?
Email:
Dear _____,
We wanted to let you know about an update to Google Wallet that might change the way you use the app. Right now it looks like you’re using tap and pay with a device running an Android version older than 4.4 KitKat. On the newest version of Android, tap and pay works with different technology for an improved experience. As a result, starting on April 14, 2014, tap and pay will no longer work for devices with older Android versions.
Tap and pay will be available for most devices running Android 4.4 KitKat. If you are able to upgrade to KitKat now, you can check if your device supports tap and pay. Supported devices will display a tile in your "My Wallet" screen that tells you to set up tap and pay. For devices that are not eligible for Android 4.4 KitKat or don’t support tap and pay, you can still use the Google Wallet app to store all of your loyalty cards and offers, send money to your friends, view your orders, and use the Google Wallet Card to make purchases.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for continuing to be a loyal Wallet user.
If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center.
Sincerely,
The Google Wallet Team

I've been seeing a slight issue with people running Android M and trying to use Snapchat. Remember if you're going to test a developing OS you're going to run into issues and bugs like this one. On snapchat's recent update they changed some user interface. For some reason this caused the app to force close after you login. I have found a temporary solution. If you have the newest update for snapchat you will need to uninstall it and downgrade the apk so is running (Snapchat 9.10.June 16, 2015.) I'm only aware of this issue for the Nexus 5 running on Android M
I have listed the link to the apks location below. I do not support nor participate with the website this is just where I found the apk.
Turn off auto-updates apps!!!

Issues on Stock 8.1 June update.
1. Sysconfig Patcher cannot enter Google Play Services on doze mode. It also occurs on other magisk module "Enable Doze for GMS Magisk Module".
2. Video recording does not work on Stock, Google and Snapdragon Camera on some users. You need to install third-party camera app named "Footeaj" to record videos.
3. Google Play Store certification is marked as "Uncertified" to some users.
Issues 1, 2 and 3 does not occur on stock 8.0.
Even if they are bugs, then why post on XDA, their is a official bug reporting section in MIUI forum. What do you expect from posting it here? Xiaomi isn't going to see it, and forget about the fix.
Bug 2 is not true(?) Working fine, device is certified as well, don't know and don't care about the first bug
My video recording does not work as well.
Everything works no bug in my device

To let other users know. (Being helpful)
Verify if its affecting all or some users. ( we get better understanding of bugs and one of the fellow superuser might find a workaround.)
What do you think now? Posting here helpful or not.( Helpful not to an individual but to the community)

When I heard that the Android 11 version for the Galaxy S10 was available, I was anxious and found a way to download the update through the Frija program. But the Instagram option just disappeared. Does anyone know what may have happened? This absence is directly reflecting on Instagram!

Just as a guess: Maybe Instagram is not compatible to Samsung's Android 11 / OneUI 3 camera app yet?
I don't have Instagram on my S10e (still running on Android 11) and I don't have an Instagram option in Camera app either. So it might be part of the Instagram app.
Found an official statement from Samsung - sadly it's been removed in Android 11
After OS Upgrade to Android 11, Instagram mode on camera was removed. What is the issue?
Learn why Instagram mode is no longer in the camera mode after updating to Android 11?
www.samsung.com
What did the instagram mode do ? Take pics and upload them directly to insta ?
I didn't quite understand the problem either.
Hello
I did pick an Oneplus 8T on Prime Day, its still sealed and
last 3 Days i collect some Informations about Android / OxygenOS and about Custom Roms and Debloat Stuff.
I had an Samsung Galaxy S2 as my Daily Driver , at this time Android was really Bad
in the end i Root and used Cynagon with Android 6? idk anymore.
since those Days i used Apple Devices as my Daily Driver, i try some breaks from the Apple ecosystem with an P30 Pro and S10+ ( for an Month ) but switched back to iOS cuz Privacy issues.
And this is the Reason why i start the Thread "Privacy" is important for me.
So how is the Privacy and influence from Google to Track and Spy at you if u:
1. Create a New Account
2. Turn everything OFF u can
3. Dont use Google APP´s / Services ( Not that hard .. if coming from Apple )
4. Debloat with ADB
and using maybe only the Google Playstore.
Thanks for any helpfull comments
Lineage OS is officially supported on the 8t, for privacy i'd flash that and not use gapps. You can get your bootloader unlocked easily and be off the to races
Or just use oos and debloat all of Google apps with xxxnolimits magisk ROM
You can use Android without creating a Google account. You can also disable pretty much every app.
You do need a Google account to use the Play store. So if you want to install apps without an account, just download APKs from the internet.
Just curious, what kind of information do you not want to share with Google? Or Apple for that matter?
