Is the gear s3 frontier compatible with oneplus 3t?

Hey i want to buy a new smartwatch today.
I dont know if the gear s3 frontier is fully compatible with the op3t
Ot should i get the huawei watch 2

I had a rooted oneplus 3T and could not install the gear apps from the playstore. I wont be able to tell you if you can get the apps from playstore if you are un-rooted because i have never tried it.
I did managed to get the gear apps from this thread by xda member j to the 4n

My gear S3 now works with my rooted oneplus 3T

Mine is not rooted and by looking at google play i can download every app samsung has to offer regarding smartwatches
So in that case it'll work?

I would prefer you get the confirmation that it works form someone who is actually using the gear S3 with unrooted oneplus 3T

I had both device by 3 months: Samsung gear s3 classic (not lte) work perfectly with oneplus 3t (not rooted with original factory rom oxygen os by oneplus)
All feature of gear s3 work perfect with no workaround, I follow the istruction on display

Hello, I own Huawei P8 lite (ale-l21) and I want to buy Samsung Gear S3 watch, but I don't know if this watch is compatible with this phone. Has anybody experience wit this combination? Thanks

Yes it must be.I have Huawei Mate 10 and work perfectly with Samsung Gear S3.
You need to download from App Store "Samsung Gear App" and that is all.

Not sure if its compatible (it should be, as it a fairly new phone). But if not, there is still a workaround. My old Mate7 was not compatible (ie i couldnt download the necessary Samsung plugins from the Playstore to get the Gear S3 to pair with the Mate7). To work around this, i simply downloaded the Samsung Gear S plugin / Samsung Accessory Service plugin / Samsung Wearable app via apkmirror, installed them, and then was able to pair the phone with the Gear S3, and everything work as expected.

I had a Huawei Mate 9, and the S3 frontier works perfect.
(I've since switched to the Essential PH-1)
When I first connected it to the Mate9, I couldn't get the s-voice to work, but finally figured out that probem
was because the app I use for a VPN (adguard) was blocking access. Once I white listed the samsung app,
s-voice worked perfectly.

On the Galaxy Smartwatch page, the Mi Mix 3 is not listed as one of the supported devices. Is there anyone that would be able to either confirm or deny the ability of these two devices functioning together?

Hi mate. I use Galaxy S3 Frontier from day one whitout any problem. I think any Samsung smartwatch can be paired with Mi Mix 3 and get full working.

On my s3 frontier it keeps disconnecting as soon as i clean the ram. Otherwise it works like a charm.

Activate autostart for all samsung gear apks and the watch reconnected automatic after cleaning RAM.

How to get google services to work?

It is better to use a Huawei Gt2 watch. I changed Samsung S3 Frontier for Gt2.

If you need a Google account on the watch, forget it. Even with the work around, you cannot transfer a Google account to a wear watch. GT watches are fine obviously.

what did you miss with your samsung and what is better on a gt watch2?
