I have WhatsApp dual messenger installed on my Note Fan, with Oreo.
Problem is, I only have one Icon in the App drawer ... the one for the first WhatsApp ...
The second WhatsApp is there, because when I share a photo with someone, I can see it, and even use it to send from the second WhatsApp ..

I was wondering, if it would be possible to integrate the Whatsapp messages for a contact in the sms history. So that you don't have to look up twice all the messages because you have them all at one place.
Furthermore, it would be great if i am writing a contact a sms who i also got in WhatsApp that then the message would automaticly send via WhatsApp. I mean something like that my phone checks wheter the contact is in WhatsApp and if yes sens over it and not a normal sms.
These two things would be fantastic because I never have to open up the WhatsApp App because everything is integrated and works automaticly.
Could this be done?

i need same thing....i want that my whtsapp can send simple sms too....all in same list...possible?
Possible... maybe a simple symbolic link and edit some smali would do it.

Any new posts about this? I just switched to Android from Blackberry and I find it a huge pain. Also I wish there was a number next to the notification icon on the top.For example is you have 3 messages it will have 3 and then the icon. I will look around for a fix for that on my phone.

Until 3 days ago i have been using whatsapp as my main IM app on a nexus 5x. I have switched to telegram and kept whatsapp also, and i have a problem related to direct share of links to contacts.
I cannot remove whatsapp as my main direct share app, so whenever i share something, whatsapp contacts appear first, although i am using telegram more frequently, and i want telegram contacts to appear first. I thought it will override somehow whatsapp contacts, but that does not happen. The only solution is to uninstall whatsapp, but i dont wanna do this.
So, any idea?

Been through everything but cant find it. Is there a way to find out which one is causing the notice?
I used the Samsung Messenger for about two days, then moved to Android Messenger. 1st, the Samsung Messenger app was crashing when I was sending MMS messages. Not sure why. And 2nd, Samsung messenger does a weird thing when you want to share a file. So if I am in my gallery and want to share a photo, and I choose Android Messenger, I see a list of all the people I have been messaging, and just click their name. With Samsung Messenger, I need to start typing out the name of the contact. Not very user friendly.

I specially bought the Zenfone 7 Pro to get a dual SIM + MicroSD high end phone but I have issues with WhatsApp Twin Apps not showing the contact names, only the numbers.
After searching a bit I have read that other ASUS phone have the same issue.
Is there a fix for this or is there a third app that I can use instead of the ASUS Twin Apps?
Solved, I found out that I could install WhatsApp Business as the second WhatsApp.

I am very disappointed that there is no preview of the earlier Messenger notification, but only the last ones.
that's why I had an idea how to do it. maybe a bit strange but it works

I use Macrodroid from Store on my phone and make two makro's(in attatch)
This macro duplicate notify from Messenger and still alive. Works only when phone is block. When unlock Notification clear.
We can read all messages from Messenger app.
I set up Notification strange low on Macrodroid that on watch first see original last message from Messenger to fast replay
