I have S9 plus, i have noticed that my Google play store is uncertified, tried every possible way to solve it, clearing cache and data, factory reset, everything..
But then i remembered that the only thing that i changed since i bought it is toggling the OEM unlock ONLY (am not rooted and the knox is not tripper, nor twrp, nothing at all, i didn't even connect it to a PC)..
This made me thinking, could it be that once you toggle the OEM unlock and after the phone is reset whenever you restart it, and you go into the 7 days jail, the play store will be uncirtified.. Is it something anyone have faced?
Am not sure if the connection between both factors is right, but would that mean after passing the 7 days jail, the play store should get back to be certified..
If anyone can give me some thoughts or feedback, that will be helpful..

Thanks for the explanation, does this mean we'll be able to flash original AOSP system image without tripping knox?
(Sorry for stealing your thread)

Same happened to me.
Day one I set up my S9+,unlocked OEM and before reboot I installed OTA update.
After installation of OTA was forced to factory reset.
Ever since Play Store is uncertified, impossible to change.

Did you pass the 7 days jail time? Did OEM unlock show up again? Am waiting for the jail time to pass, then will try to reset the phone again and see..
Keep in mind that you have to keep your phone 7 days without a restart to get out of jail, you need to check the time up in the phone status section..
After OEM lock the device is Certificate d again. And i.e. Netflix is back in store.... But be aware it will factoryreset you phone again. ( This only works if you dont trip knox)

Thank you.. Finally someone replied with a solid answer..
Just wondering, did you leave the phone 7 days with or without logging in google account and/or samsung account? And did you have sim card in? Am asking these questions because am seeing few users reporting that OEM didn't show up again due to one of the above reasons or another..
OEM unlock should be set off. Anytime after a factory reset go to developer menu and set it off. It will reset again, but it will be set off at least. Tricky because you would think that it is off after a factory reset, but it is not the case.

We agree on that. But we are talking about the correlation between OEM unlock and uncertified play store.. And how to get the OEM unlock to show up again.. Thats the tricky part.. (and unfair from samsung)..

You can install apps and games, but not all of them, there are apps that check for the certification, like Netflix, pokemon go, some banking apps and other apps, they will not show up at all when searching for them in Google play..

I see. When it happened to me, Play was fine after the OEM unlock hard reset, and after the second one when I turned it off really. I am not sure if there is a connection between the two things.
So, I'm currently experiencing this exact issue. Were you able to get back playstore certification status to certified??

Simply i gave up, but i think you should keep your sim in ur phone with a registered play store/Samsung account for 7 days without restarting ur phone.. I moved back to my pixel 2 xl because of this unfair controlled way that Samsung is dealing with its users.. They didn't even put a warning explaining this.. So good luck..
There's a way to make the device certified again.
1. You need to go to developers options then turn off OEM unlock.
2. Go to setting, then apps and look for google play store then clear cache and data, disable and enable it.
3. Turn off the phone and go to recovery mode by pressing volume up, bixby and power button simultaneously, release after the samsung logo appeared. Wait until it loaded the menu.
4. Clear cache your device then reboot.
5. Open google play store and let it load, force close it through recents menu.
6. Open google play store again and you should see that your device is certified again.

After doing a full reset on my phone using Mobile Upgrade Q (which successfully removed CM and TWRP from my phone) I get an error message when trying to set up Android saying "sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device." I've only ever used one google account with this device, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Its factory reset protection, you have to log in with the google account associated with the phone prior to reset.... To avoid this in future or if you sell phone just remove your Google account in settings... accounts before factory reset... It's the equivalent of iCloud locking on Apple, designed to cut down on theft.... If you cant remember the password you can go to the Google account recovery page for assistance
https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
I don't understand. I WAS logged into the account prior to the reset, on CM. It's the only account I've ever used on this phone, and I haven't changed the password.
How do I unlock it? Is it even possible, or does it think I stole the phone?
Is it possible to reinstall TWRP and CM now? Just to have a useable phone?

Here is a writeup on how and why frp works like it does....
http://www.pcnexus.net/2015/12/what...gle-72-hour-lockout-android-lollipop.html?m=1
There are some hacks around it, but I have never tried them, best method to avoid frp headaches is to simply remove your Google acct prior to any reset
Is there anything special I have to do to login in 24 hours? Is it 24 hours from the first time I reset or the last time I reset (I wiped it a few times trying to get in)?

Thank you for the link. Just to be clear, in case future people ever find this thread: during the 24 hour lock out, you cannot unlock the phone, EVEN WITH THE CORRECT ACCOUNT NAME AND PASSWORD. Oddly enough, the device can still receive phone calls, and displays the caller's contact name. So it's definitely logged into my account, it's just locked out of doing anything except receiving calls. Also, I can hear that the phone is receiving text messages, though I have no way to read or reply to them.
Once I unlock it, I will update this thread with how and what it looks like, again, just in case someone finds this thread in the future, because this information is hard to find.

This happened to me yesterday so I hope it works for me as well.
You know what, I just happened to be looking for the official Alcatel factory flash tool and came across this post because after a few factory resets I was able to get the phone to boot up......BUT, as described above, the phone will only accept the PREVIOUS password which I forgot.... I simply requested a new password be created and it doesn't unlock the phone.
So now I too must wait 24, wow.
This is BS.. I mean, yeah I factory reset the phone because after my son accepted a system update, his phone kept bootlooping and his battery doesn't want to accept a charge now (so it seems per the display).....but what if I want to sell my phone? We have to remove the gmail account prior??????? Wow way to go Alcatel. And if this is actually an Android feature, it sucks.
Now, can anyone direct me to the actual official Alcatel upgrade tool????? I want to just flash this stock unrooted phone to out of box condition so we can trade his phone in. The Alcatel website no longer offers it from what I can see. Thanks!

It's an android security feature introduced in 5.1 LP, it only triggers the wait if you reset any way other than from settings. It's similiar to an iCloud lock, so yes if you sell phone remove google account, or if your buying a used phone make sure the google account is removed prior to reset, or boot up phone and make sure you can get passed the lockout before buying it!!

at last i understand why i never ever heard of it
my 6039y is still on 5.0.2 and i never removed gmail accout before made a reset with mobile q or any other way and google never did anything.
First issue is app badges. When i read message or check missing calls whatever it is general issue, the notification badge on app icon does not reset it self. Badge keeps as it is for 1 hour and then reset. Tried clearing badge provider but no solutuon.
Cant install apps from google play normally, it downloads to %100 and stays as it is. When i kill the google play and restart it then it installs the app.
Randomly getting really laggy with device.
When i am on call with bluetooth headphone and using my device, the device gets laggy. Cant switch wifi or install apps. Its like device gets my actions but does not proceed. When i end calls it starts proceed my actions one by one.
Tried factory reset, reinstalling stock firmware, all same. My device is stock and never rooted.
Btw, I see touchwiz update on sammobile but neither samsung apps or google play does not update the launcher. I try to install the apk from sammobile manually but it gives error like i have an app as same name as it is. So cant update to last version of touchwiz i stuck at 6.1.02
Any help for these issues or explinations? Thanks.

You tried everything, could be a hardware issue. As for the touchwiz update, it could be for a different version then yours. I wouldn't be worried if you don't see the update unless your seeing other people with the sane phone get the updates.

None issue you mentioned I face it, by the way mine is Exynos edition.
Suggest Factory reset your phone, don't restore anything (this part is freaking important). Start as flash new phone setup.
As for Touchwiz, 6.1.02 is the latest version.
Snapdragon here, none of these issues are present on my device.
Exynos here. I did not facr these issues until last firmware update. After factory reset it was awsome for 1 week. Then again here my problems.
I highly suggest to return the phone to samsung and get a new one.. your phone seems to have a hardware issues.
I only have the common issues which is fingerprint sensor stops working sometimes. I never tried bluetooth so i can't confirm if i have any.
As many here also suggest that you should start fresh factory reset your phone and install your apps directly from the play store. If you had any problems with the playstore don't bather your self to fix the problem go directly to nearest samsung center and ask for an exchange unit.

Snap dragon here and I have no clue what these problems are....thank goodness of course
Use Nova launcher. Problem solved.
Galaxy S8+ Black
clear cache from the boot menu. May help before you return it.
EDIT: SOLVED!! (haven't tested but 95% sure). Did a factory reset and now that everything is back and running the Tap & Pay settings screen actually has stuff in it: http://i.imgur.com/3H3ZiBt.png - Pretty sure that's gonna fix it.
Only thing I can think of that had the slightest chance of causing the problem would be using the System UI tuner app (with non-rooted workaround) to get rid of the all the freaking icons in the status bar. That's the only thing I didn't do when I re-installed everything. Don't know if I dare try installing it again.
/EDIT
Got my U11 last week and I can't for the life of me get Android Pay to work (worked just fine on my Nexus 5). Everything seems set up fine but when I go to to pay I put my phone up to the terminal and nothing happens on my phone, while the terminal says "card read error."
I've tried at multiple stores, , I've even reinstalled the app and removed and added my card again and still nothing. NFC is on and Android Pay is on the NFC Services list.
Also, is there supposed to be anything in the Tap & Pay settings menu? All I see is this: http://i.imgur.com/hNEpBnT.png
I wish there was a way to test this without buying stuff, I keep feeling like an idiot when it doesn't work and I have to take my wallet out everytime.

Ok, so recently jumped ship from iOS to a Pixel 3a. It's been a couple months and now the past 2 days all downloads, including updates refuse to download or update with the message "Download Pending"
I've cleared the cache from both the Play Store and download manager, rebooted and also force rebooted.
I REALLY do not want to have to factory restore this phone to fix this issue.
What are my options to fix this issue? I trust people on XDA are a lot more reliable and smarter than a random forum to post in.
The Pixel is rooted, Magisk has Play Store hidden. No changes in the OS to guess why this issue has popped up.
Help needed, thank you in advance

I don't think it would effect this issue, but you don't need to hide the Google Play store in Magisk.
Have you changed locations or at least networks? It very well may be a network issue and not a phone issue.

Just wait one or two days and it will back to normal.
It happened on my device and I tried everything and couldn't fix it. I just let the "download pending" there and the next day it just worked.
It's not a network issue as I had another pixel 3a working at the same time.
It's more like google is updating or checking for update for play services silently and that process is somehow stucked. As a result, the system think there is something downloading/updating and put all other download into pending.
Another temporary fix you can try is to restart the phone while it's showing"download pending" (don't cancel the download) and re-open play store. You may see the previous pending download will start downloading but any new download will still be pending.
Ok i cleared the cache & data from Play store, download manager and download (sys app) and it worked for about 10 minutes and we're back to download pending.
Doing the same thing does not now work.
RIP my patience

Update: Maybe this has something to do with it? Every time I open the Samsung Pay watch plug in on my phone it tells me it needs to update the Samsung Pay app on my watch. But every time it fails. Yes I've rebooted. No reason given. Any ideas? Phone is Z Fold 3.

Yes works fine on ZF3 and on my GW3 up until I cleared it. I'm in the USA and it's a US watch purchased directly from AT&T.
I had the same issue with mine when I first got it. I THINK what I did was disconnect from my phone and make sure the watch was connected to my home WiFi. Then it updated and I could set it up. It's been awhile so I can't remember for sure. Hope that helps!

Nope didn't work, or I didn't do it right. I've had my watch disconnected from the phone (even turned off remote connection), WiFi only, for 2 hours now. Opened the Samsung Pay app many times, never prompted for an update and nothing ever happened on its own. Still can't get past that Get Started screen with the arrow button. Is there a way to manually trigger an update or clear data for an app directly from the watch? I couldn't find Samsung Pay in the Play store either to update or reinstall.
Ok, I may not be remembering correctly either. I would try resetting the samsung pay watch app in the Galaxy Wearable app. Watch settings>apps>app settings>samsung pay. Get into the settings there and check the version, it may let you update the watch plug in from there. If not I'd use the reset option.

Thank you, good advice. Unfortunately that's the first thing I tried and there actually is no option to reset. Usually you can click on Storage and then have Clear Cache and Clear Data. Clicking on Storage for Samsung Pay does nothing. No option to clear anything. Can't uninstall either. The closest I could come to this was uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung Pay Watch Plugin from my phone, and that didn't help. I did talk to Samsung and they want me to bring it to a service center or ship to them for physical repair, which is about what I was expecting for an answer. I did try resetting the watch back to factory defaults and reinstalling the wearables app on my phone, no luck. Brought me right back to the same place. I guess I will try exchanging it since I just bought it, and if the new one doesn't work I'll just go back to my GW3. Thank you for your help.
Did you tried to reset App data from ADB? ADB is a debug protocol for Android devices. With ADB you can do things which no allowed to do in User Interface. In Android OEMs like Samsung are disabling to much features in UI because they think people are dumb and they don't wanna mess your phone if you are not experienced user. With ADB you can do too much things in Android devices. I don't know how to reset app data with ADB but I did it before, just search the web.
Its easy. i had the same issue, only solved by doing this. Install APKPure and search for updates for your apps. it should appear there.update it, and afterwards you can uninstall the APKPure.
Best of luck mate.
Hi, was this ever solved in the end? I am just experiencing this issue... It's because of the new update for the Watch Plug-In, for some reason it cannot update the app on the watch itself or communicate to that app at all... I still experience that same stuck screen!! Any help would be appreciated.
