After reading an article on "The Verge" they have said OnePlus will add a feature just like the Huawei P20, where the notch can be hidden with an overlay on the screen. Good luck everyone, and keep waiting for OP6!
https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2018/4/4/17196836/oneplus-6-notch-blackout-option
.........
According to xda article about this, the notification bar would be moved to the line below the notch. Unlike p20 that just blackened the sides of the notch and still have the notification on the sides of the notch.
I think what op6 would do is a bit better than p20.
As for me I only hate notch if I will have a hole on my full screen video or full screen games. If that's not the case then I'm OK with it.
Example of iPhone X full screen video which for me is ugly.

Same for me and i hope that the screen is a little bigger with hide notch on than the 5T.
This means I can select between notch or big top bezel ? Oh boy.
Hope the users who hate the notch can consider the buying decision now, there is more to come !!
Atleast the display is amoled so it doesn't look too unbelievable that there isn't a notch
Why retarded apple product is consider a good idea to copy !!
The fact that the notch can be hidden doesn't make life less difficult having this stupid notch in place.

Why is the notch such a hindrance for you?

because this stupid thing is on the middle of my statusbar and because manufacturers have a lot of space on the bottom or on the left and right sides of both top and bottom.

It simply fits.
Not bad but I cannot stand the hole in the left hand corner!

We call this style the DiamondFlex at TPU-Cases, others simply call it the Diamond Pattern. This look amazing on the phone. We didnt make this style for the G2x, but have made them for numerous other phones. I've never seen a TPU case designed like the one you posted, I'm surprised its able to hold its shape with such a large cutout in the corner. I personally would of done 2 holes in that corner instead of 1. Although we ended up just using 1 hole for the power button since only the Korean model has that corner port anyways.

Yes, this hex pattern looks pretty good. This is a reason why I went for this. Moreover, it simply fits 100%. It's pretty easy to put on but it's not loose at all.
I can live with this "TV antenna" cutout though.
Wondering how this compares: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050ISVW6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A2HOCXU5SC35JO Obviously this one is solid black, and it doesn't appear to have an antenna cutout.
I just ordered one anyway, hopefully it will work for me.
I have had my Tab 2 for a week now, and already it has a single dead pixel on the upper right hand side of the screen. Its not so noticeable when the screen is white, but when there is something black showing, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

That would be a stuck pixel. Have you tried stuck pixel remover videos? They can help.

can it spread? I mean, when it's only one at first..can it spread into many dead pixels? just askin
beside dead pixel have you got yellow display issue?
my friend in indonesia has this problem.
he just realize his tab was yellow lcd when his brother friend has gtab2 and compare with his gtab2

I did, but it didn't seem to help any. :-/
I went through 3 tabs before I finally got a 4th one with perfect screen. I initially brought the 1st one back to BestBuy for exchange, then opened the replacements before I left and checked the screens. Even the sales guy was amazed that we had 3 bad ones in a row, lol. So yeah, seems like in order to keep costs down. Samsung kinda cut corners on the screen quality... Exchange it until you get a perfect screen!

According to latest rumors, Motorola is preparing new model currently known as X Phone. For the first time we should see edge-to-edge FullHD screen on smartphone. From designers perspective I took liberty to implement some elements that could be useful, but in same recognizable in Motorola line-up. Phone should run on latest stock Android OS.
Please view render in full resolution and read all details & descriptions:

I quite like it! But, I'm never certain how the technology will allow for detection of erroneous touches - seems like that's the biggest problem with edge-to-edge

Not so "Smart". It's just a cutout so that you can see the clock in the lockscreen and maybe the phone number when someone calls you, but only that. I have one, and the only thing I don't like are the cutouts for the buttons, they are not well placed. I prefer having a silicon flip cover instead of this one
So I found an alternative with cutout

Well, that looks quite better, but still hard plastic case, the buttons in the right side are hard to press, just like in the Nillkin XD
If there would be something like this, but with a cover over it... LOL

maybe there as app for that that could concentrate important concent into the small window. but anyways, windowed cases are utterly pointless on non-AMOLED screens

Absolutely correct. In the M2, all the LCD goes ON, not like in AMOLED, where 0 equals fully off pixel. However, just to check what time is it, or who is calling you is nice, and the screen is protected..

I know it's crazy. What's going on that it needs that much ram?? I tried it again and it's still absurdly high. Pass on this. There's an overlay thread that you can add your own images too
Are there any edge clock always on display out there for grabs? I've been searching but in vain..
I would like to get this, but I don't like the fact that it has a 2 second delay to get to the homescreen.

Hi can you tell me where I can find the overlay thread to do this? I'm not able to get into substratum to check if it's there. Thanks
