I have had my Tab 2 for a week now, and already it has a single dead pixel on the upper right hand side of the screen. Its not so noticeable when the screen is white, but when there is something black showing, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I did, but it didn't seem to help any. :-/
I went through 3 tabs before I finally got a 4th one with perfect screen. I initially brought the 1st one back to BestBuy for exchange, then opened the replacements before I left and checked the screens. Even the sales guy was amazed that we had 3 bad ones in a row, lol. So yeah, seems like in order to keep costs down. Samsung kinda cut corners on the screen quality... Exchange it until you get a perfect screen!

1bright pixel only shown if only im using black wallpaper/background
ok then well i suggest using the warranty if you still have it
if not, and a replacement will cost too much, then try to avoid it as it doesnt effect the usability of the device. ive heard this is an ongoing issue with the i900
best thing is to ignore it

I want to get this phone, but I've been hearing of uneven screens on the net. People have been saying the bottom of their screens are popping up. has this happened to anyone?
and also, in this picture,

Is the fact that you can see the light from the bottom of the screen mean that the screen is uneven?

some people have this issue but im not sure if its as severe as in the image...
but mine seems to have a perfect screen
I think I'm having this issue.. where have you read about this?
I'm not sure about this problem, but I noticed that mostly users with Desire S from Asia have the screen popping issue. UK Desires seem to be fine.
From Asia here but no problem with the screen. I think it's random.
No screen mounting issues here on german Desire S.
On the picture it's a reflection on the metal edge.
Hi my first post on XDA but have been skulking about.
I'm in the UK and have had my DS 3 full days perfect no floors and set up with current OS and skinned.
Though day 4 bottom corners lifting by Home and Search keys and also have the smallest gap between unibody and screen near Volume rocker and touch keys, the gap is enough to see back light coming through in the dark/dusk.
Hope this helps i have a new replacement coming first thing tomorrow will report on that with any news.
Ok so brand new replacement handset and i still have these issues the bottom right corner is already showing that it's raised in comparison to the bottom left corner and there is still a visible gap on the left of the screen can see the charge port through this and light still shining through in the right light.
Looks like bad quality control from HTC will be contacting orange in a mo as i'm still in my cooling off period. I am really disappointed Android OS is great for the customisation but this handset seem's to have been rushed in the build quality.
Hope this helps.
I have a friend with this issue.Mine it's ok.
Greece.
Duplicate post sorry.
I have had the nexus 5 for about 6 months now, and i'm starting to notice a part of the glass coming off. The area around the volume buttons to the center of the screen makes a sticking sound when pushed down on, and i can feel it pushing in a little bit. It's most noticeable on the edge directly next to the volume buttons. There are no visible cracks as far as i can tell. Phone works fine besides this. Should I be worried and replace the screen or just let it be? I don't notice it if i don't push down too hard.
Never had this happen to me on a phone before. Thanks!
That definitely shouldn't be happening.

It's not very visible and pictures don't show the problem.
It feels like the glue in that area is just dried up in that area and isn't holding down the screen correctly. but its only a small area so right now its not too big of a deal.

Ask for google support, they will replace it. Mine was losing the back cover letters and google replaced it
Hi all. Wasn't sure if I should reply to this old thread or start my own...
I have a Nexus 5 that's over 2 years old. So no warranty. It looks like my screen is starting to come off in the bottom right corner. I think it's just the glass. Take a look at the attached pic/video and let me know what you think I could/should do. You can see I can move it by pressing on it.

It works fine otherwise. Touch/display etc seems all fine. I don't care about this problem if it stays as-is, but I'm worried it will get worse and come off further.
I'm thinking a bit of super glue would do? .
Thinking the same…
Can someone that has opened up the 7" t210 model explain what component/s are highlighted in the pics.
I need to know what the hell Samsung are harping on about trying to dodge warranty.

in the upper image toward lower center it looks like water damage or corrosion.
if that's what it is, it's not covered as a manufacturing defect. you run into
an issue of you said they said on that one. what is the lower image?

Thanks.
I dont know what the 2nd photo is,as I havent got the tab back yet.
I presume the 1st pic is a part of the motherboard.
It was giving "kernel panic mode" screen a few times before it went dead a month ago.

Im not really worried about losing £180,I just dont like their attitude, and their crappy products. This is the last samsung device we have left, and thankfully they will never catch up with quality of Apple products.
Im going to have a closer look when the p.o.s comes back, and maybe I'll raise a small claims court action case here, just to wind them up.
I could also email that nice north korean guy......we have similar thoughts about samsung/south korea.
As title says, the backlight started shining through on my U11+.

It happend today, i was on my phone. i put i down to go get something to eat and when i came back the bleed came. it's around the entire screen.
i haven't contacted HTC yet because i wanted to ask you guys and get your opinions first.
i haven't dropped it, i haven't thrown it after somebody. i've been looking after it.
Sorry for the unacceptable quality on the picture, it's taken with my work phone.
That's not good. RMA it if you can.
Did you get yours repaired? My u11 plus just did the same thing today. I am wondering if too much squeezing the edge sense warpped the screen.

It happened to me too: I was watching a film, checked phone and it presented the same symptom, but in always on display. Rebooted and same problem. After a little time (just 10 minutes or down there).
I am using edge function and it is no longer happened .

I think the last time it happened to me was in January.
It's a bit bizzar that it comes and goes like that, I still haven't figured it out what's causing it.
But it doesn't seem to be a problem any more so I'm not worried.
