I am curious what ROM you guys are using, I'm currently using Advanced 8 Port V2 but I can notice some lagging in some of the apps and games using Daishi's Afterburner Kernel v17.11.03.4. I would like to hear your suggestions on what can be stated as the most stable Nougat ROM or hell you can even suggest a Marshmallow ROM that would be the most stable for daily usage. Thanks!

Been using On8 V3 with Hyperion rom kernel.
No problems faced till now. It has best ever battery life among all 7.0 ROMs.
Before On8 V3, was using ExOS 2.5.
That Rom too had not a single problems or bugs.
Loved both ROMs. Both had similar battery life and screen on time.. you better try both until Stable 7.1.1 ROMs shows up in XDA

Also disable unnecessary system apps with link2sd app to get most out of ram memory. I did it and now have nearly 360 mb or more memory always.
Synexos lite v.1.1 ?
I'm using Advanced 8 Port V2 with stock kernel
Thanks for all the answers, I migrated to On8 and I can already see some FPS Improvements in games and overall system usage. Drop more feedback down below for other members in the forum to see what's best for them.

On8 v.1 up till now
Not moved to v.3 yet cause v.1 is already feed my need, smooth and fast.
Just random shut down when battery is almost drained up when the device is overheating.
Just need to add AllBlack theme overlay maybe to bring out the Amoled screen potential to max.

There is no other room more stable than stock.
I have used 1.2 kernels and different roms and the only place that you can see a difference is on Quadrant test, in real life use I don't notice a damn difference from stock speed.
My friend have Bionix 1.2 on his NS and his phone is more faster then my NS
MoDaCo gets the best battery life, the bionix 1.3 beta isn't too stable and to be honest 1.2 isn't my cup of tea, cyanogenmod is in nightlies still but its very stable and its what both my wife and I run, plus there are a few others I haven't tried. For kernels I definitely recommend netarchy 1.2.1 as it has the amazing voodoo sound mod plus its the most stable I've used. Just my two cents.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
netarchy 1.2.1 + stock rom works pretty good IMO
CM7 Nightlies are surprsing stable and Cyan Fast.
Thanks to all for the reply

Using Bionix 1.3 Beta and also Netarchy 1.2.2
Battery life is better than stock. Unless clearing battery statsstats in cwm make such a massive difference.

I would recommend bionix 1.2 or the 1.3 beta release. I was on 1.2 and its fantastic...really fast and stable. Updated to 1.3 beta with no problems.
Ive tried cyanogen and modacco...both good also but i prefer bionix for now. They all seem well stable and fast tho.

They are all very stable and each possess desirable qualities. I would suggest trying them until you find the one that suits you the best.
Hi everyone! I've one of the first ROM came out after the releasing of the kernel for our phone, it's not bad but sometimes seems slow (especially typing).
I was looking for something very fast and stable, I don't care so much about customization or overclocking.
Do you think I should think of came back to stock? Which rom do you suggest?
Thanks for any help!
at this moment , i suggest you KANGY-V8 by HAKA and mathkid95's Matr1x 15.0 CFS with Weathley + SIO , everything's good
Thanks! I'll give them a shot!
Stock gingerbread
I was actually looking for something similar myself(in terms of stability), but i actually do want a little more customizations and tweaks, i was going to try
CyberGR-MOD, would that be a good choice?

probably not , becuase i was using it before
it's good , but however , there some MOD like "search key for recent apps" and some themes from theme section , weren't able to be applied in that ROM ...
if you wanted these MOD, you have to do it yourself ...

Thanks, one last question though, when you were using it was it stable?
I have been using Codename Android Rom(used to be AOSP+)
I must say it one of the best Roms I have tried. I suggest everyone to try it.
I just registered at XDA but I have been following the Scene for a while. I have using this rom for more than a month. I was on nexus beam but its not as fast and stable as Codename android.
this Rom is great because:
1-Great stability
2-no reboots whatsoever
3-very smooth and fast(including typing) I used to have sluggish keyboard on other roms, not this one.
4-Great Battery life
5-AOSP so its built from scrach so its clean and has nice simple mods and tweaks
Check it out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1463437
I also suggest using Eugenes speedy Kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1401455
the Rom and Kernel above are just sooo compatible. I have the best android experience ever
Good luck

yes , i have not yet encountered any freeze or reboot .
here is my kernel setting , 100 - 1000 wheatley , sio , deep idle on . defauult voltages from kernel
really nice work of HAKA and MATHKID95
KANGY8 or AndroidME or Android Beam.. cant go wrong with any of them..
I'm using too v8 by haka with matrix kernel 14.5 cfs
3 days now with good battery Life and no reboots! Rock and stable
A few things doesn't work for me on these rom:
-mms like others rom
- voodoo app doesn't saves settings if i reboot my nexus

I'm usin pete's bugless beast, never had reboots, freezes or something. It runs very smooth and fast, and battery life is great. I always have 2 days, with little usage even 3 days. I'm using steven garons kernel with default settings and bln on.
Apex 1.0.0 with Speedy 7. No problems at all.

Still not as fast as the good old Oxygen based on Gingerbread but the improvement on ICS makes this ROM the top

hi all,

im using ddlf2 bam kernel, design and smooth is good but the battery life not so good, till now i can say that titanium rom and kernel from adi_pat are best, what about you?

Using Frankenstain [LF2] Mod^3.5 rom with vurrut kernel 9.1 till now got the best result. I also use bam kernel for a long time but I got little lag n battery drain problem. Hope they will fix it on next release.

This of the list of roms and kernel I tried out lately.
1. RemICS 1.3 with dhiru kernel
Quite good, reasonable battery life, nice performance.
2. RemICS 1.3 with vurrut 1.8
Nice performance, nice battery.
3. Pandora miui(now closed) with vurrut 1.7
Exceptional battery life, with no lags, nice performance. Still hd gaming lags :-(
4. pandora miui with vurrut 1.8
Similar results, not much notable differences except a bit betterbattery life.
5. Pandora miui, with arindam kernel(along with rom)
Stuck on bootloop
P.S. Pandora miui had 3 inbuilt kernels to select while flashing (vurrut 1.7, arindam, dhiru kernel)
Presently on stock rom xxkpu, with bafaria, cf root kernel !
Press thanks if helped
I am using Ddlf2 Lite by RonnYap , with XDA Bam 14 kernel (packaged).
This is the most fastest with so many features including power camera shutter + low battery... this guy is genius man.
known defect : flashlight , some games like scramble pro will auto shutdown.
I wanna go for Lightest JB, with 3x kernel ,,cant imagine that @@

My wife's phone is100% stock and still has small bugs, freezes, and other issues.. So a 100% stable jellybean is a myth.. Carbon tests faster than Gamerz, but isn't as smooth.. I am using Thinkingbridge and am nearly as fast as Carbon, but haven't had any bugs (yet).. The latest Devil kernel is fast and stable at stock speeds, but I find over volting it when over clocked is better than stock voltages (on my phone).. At stock voltage when over clocked I have had random reboots, but not when over volted... Marmite is also fast, but I haven't found a stable over clocking method for it.. Both deliver good battery life and performance on any compatible rom...

Each ROM is different and reboots are caused by tons of possibilities either kernel or ROM, and overclocking and using tweaks/mods only increase these possibilities...
I've tried Carbon but have had a couple bugs in previous builds.. I'm testing the latest Carbon and it feels nice and no issues thus far
Thinkingbridge is fast and stable and I had no bugs or other issues..
And yes, Devil is my favorite kernel..
Also if you use devil tools or similar app, you can overclock the devil kernel to a fairly stable 1512mhz (live oc 108%). Not recommended for long periods of use!
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
i mean what is better than gamerz rom and fast and stable FOR LONGGG USE like till key lime pie is out whats the most stable and fast rom and what kernel to use with is
try jellyshot with marmite. i have tried every rom and for me is the fastest and most stable rom
Jellyshot + marmite 7.3 is 100% stable but does not have many mods, carbon + marmite is very fast and has a lot of mods
I was just using the old 4.1.2 Hellybean with a current Devil kernel and the experience was very nice, stable and smooth.. the battery life was also quite good, averaging around 20 hrs with 5 hrs screen time!!

I tried countless ROMs, Kernels, Tweaks and Mods, and i have to say that im most satisfied with ThinkingBridge (SB4) and Devil Kernel (3.0.71) plus Final Script (3.1) from "The War Against Obscurity" thread posted by Setting.Out. Its clearly subjective; many people, many opinions. But you surely have to give it a shot!
Hello,
I have since 4 Weeks Superman Rom v3.0.1. Very nice Rom. Very fast. Very smooth. Many custom settings. Sad that this rom EOL.
I have installed the SuperStock Kernel, which in Aroma included. Sometimes i have a random reboot. Which Kernel is stable? I read in any xda Kernel threads a reboot here and a rebot there. Why? I need a stable kernel. Any idea?

I recommend moro kernel from my own experience I had never a problem with the latest one that is 7.1 has a great battery life and a beast performance, stable did not see any problem (even overclocked small kernels) actually it's better than the tunder one for me it drains a lot more battery than from moro just my thoughts ^^
