Hello,
I have look on this site for Battery drain for L04 - B389 , I have found other version with Battery issues. At this time I only get less thing 3hrs of use. I have closed all running app in the background. Do you know if update to the new B391 would help or should I down grade. If I do down grade what version should I use.
Thanks

Rickymills, thanks for your reply and yes after updating I've seen that the battery drain for the 391 is the exact same or even increase the battery drain. What would your version/ oftware # be for updating/downgrading the phone?

I hav been using moto g for the past 3 months. The phone worked perfectly for the 1st month. But after 1 month there is some battery drain issue.
When the phone is in standby the battery drain unexpectedly fast. i get a screen time of only abt 1.5 hours. During the night the battery come down by 25-30%(3g and wifi are both off). I have factory reset the phone but the problem still persists. I have also tried to keep the phone in safe mode when i go to sleep but the battery still drains heavily. The Battery drain in expected amount when i am using the phone. Battery saver apps doesnt seem to help the battery life. Thanx in advance.
Since you are on 4.4.2 could it be the mm-qcamera-daemon problem? The process is well known for causing battery drain if there are certain apps installed (like Snapchat or Skype).
Also known is higher battery drain after using GPS.
Maybe this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654180 gives you some ideas how to isolate your problem

I have installed Skype. Maybe it is the cause. Thanks a lot for linking me to d right thread.
You're welcome!
So uninstalling Skype (or just updating? Not shure if there has been a recent fix) maybe help. Or wainting for 4.4.3 which shouldnt take too long

I have uninstalled Skype. but the battery still came down by abt 10% last night. so there may be another problem. 4.4.3 hopefully comes with a solution to the skype problem.

I have the feeling my answers seem a bit chaotic... Sorry for that.
Well at least now you know that Skype not seems to be the issue. I should have stated already that you could try an app like "Gsam Battery Monitor" or "Better Battery Stats" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809). They give you a detailed list of processes that consume battery.
Unfortunately I can not tell if and how good the work without root
I have tried gsam battery app. It jus showed normal stats nothing out of the ordinary... I have installed greenify n added a bunch of apps to it which I thought drains more battery. but Battery life has not increased.
I looked at d link from ur earlier reply. Many users face d same problem but for some of them rebooting solves the problem.
Don't think any installed apps r causing it.
I have switched over to ART runtime because I read that it has better battery efficiency. I'll use it for a couple of days n chk.
The battery drain graph when screen is off seems a bit steep than normal. Maybe it's a bug in 4.4.2.
I updated from b521 to b820 but the battery drains very fast and it battery monitoring show me the screen usage is 98%.. what should I do to fix this?? the battery got from 100% to 88% in 15 minutes!!!
Make hard/factory reset.

did that and still the battery drains fast.. the screen consumption decreased to 75 - 85 % still high.. it was 35-40 % with lollipop!!! any thing else i can do??
Check your background processes, something isn't right for sure. Mine is normal.

this is mine.. strange!! hardware 100% software 0% !!!!
same issue on my honor.. updated from b521
I was also having huge battery drain, screen (hardware) was using over 90% battery while I even wasn't using the phone. Phone was really fast, but this version is clearly unfinished. Also many options was removed from the settings menu (some moved to submenus, very hard to find = not user friendly)--> I cannot imagine what Huawei was thinking with this update..
Now I'm back with (B521) Lollipop 5.1.1, and I'm getting 2 days battery again and everything is running fine and smooth! :good:
Same issue for me!
Hello,
I don't know what can I do. I must charge the battery 2 times a day. With custom ROM and Kernel ,also in stock unrooted and with locked bootloader. It's not normal, I think. Has anyone the same Problem? Maybe the battery is damaged. What do you think?
I think it's damaged .The second charge today.
Mine is very similar. I think our batteries are gone. I am about to do a factory reset and reinstall my ROM to see if it makes any difference to battery load.

Try it. No luck for me. I have no guarantee anymore.

Did you try to go back to Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware .264? Works miracles for me... as I have >6h SoT (screen-on-time) on Lollipop, but <4h SoT on Marshmallow
/PS: In my use case anyway, yours might vary, yet I believe you'll see a longer lasting battery
Same problem for me until yesterday. After repair with Sony Bridge for Mac and installing only important apps it is ok.
I can not add screenshots. BetterBatteryStats says 2,8%/h. 73% Deep Sleep. Usage: 1d 5h 12 min. Now 15 % Battery remaining.
Best regards
Kay

It seems that your phone is very activ in background. After resetting my phone the battery life is very good. I disable many background activities and install only important apps.
What is the name of your app in the screenshot?
Sorry for my English.
Best regards

Gsam is the battery monitor
Show the app list usage too.
Show the Screen stats (how much was it ON) too.

I start from beginning and the what happens.
First try to see what apps run in the background, maybe there are some services draining your battery. Is Mobile Radio Active draining the battery? If not than 100% that your battery needs to be replaced.
Try Nova Battery Tester (look for apk) set to long test and see what capacity it measures.

thinking to switch from MM to LL also...there is noticable battery in favor LL.except that no difference between this to.... what version of LL rom do you use?
it seems after reset and deploat alot of Stuff from MM ROM the Battery lifetime is better.
Also tried the new Android 7.1.1 AOSP ROM, perfect the Lifetime. But the Camera is really bad.

Last version .264, here's my pre-rooted one here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/d6603-xperia-z3-23-4-1-264-customized-t3259252
Anyone notice a significant drop in battery life in B360? I was quite happy with the SOT on 317 (just about 5h) and ever since I upgraded to 360 it's a drastic drop. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and how I can fix it.
So if you go to battery management, what's using your battery?

These are my latest statistics of N (B360) before rolling back to MM (B162). Something that caught my attention is the average estimates for screen on and screen off time. I got less screen off time with N than with MM but more screen on time. I think my VPN app might be the culprit for the lost of screen off time compared with 18-24hrs I was getting with MM, but can't tell for sure until I replicate the same use under MM.
So if I were to use my phone at the end of the day, after having it on standby at work, I'll probably have 3hrs of SOT before the phone goes into cardiac arrest. But my story is the opposite, I use it a lot at work and stop using it when I'm at home.

Gsam says COMBINED APP CPU. Everything's set up exactly the same as it was on 317. I used to get through the day with my moderate use with ~40% left. Now I have to charge in the afternoon. Bit annoying. Would factory reset help? I never actually did it after upgrading.

I don't have a battery manager screen but Power Saving and Ultra modes are off, which again are the same as 317 for me.
If you scroll down there is a consumption option, it gives a detailed breakdown of what used your battery

Yeah I know that. I'm saying that my usage habits and apps using battery aren't much different. Just wondering if this is a known issue, or something that can be fixed by a factory reset.
I tried the B320 on my L19 for a week and had similar experience to the OP. Rolling back to MM allowed me to skip charging in the afternoon.

A week ago went back to MM (B162) and here are my latest battery stats. Total used time is better in MM than in N without question. So in conclusion, N is less battery efficient than MM. I just hope Huawei has this polished before February's update. Fingers crossed. :fingers-crossed:
First and second screen shots are MM.
Third and fourth are N.

So I actually rolled back my phone to 162, and then used the Charles method to go to 360 again (I previously used the dload method to update). Performed a factory reset after updating this time, and now my battery life is insane! Im at over 4h SOT with 52% battery left currently.
So for people that are experiencing battery drain on 360, perhaps try updating using Charles or officially instead of using dload, and do a factory reset after.

Same here, charles saved me
My battery life is definitely better after the 360 update. .
I was in the beta Before and it's improved alot.
I had it at 100℅ yesterday morning and didn't had to charge till about 4pm today and that's with me watching now TV last night for a couple of hours
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
I've had the same experience as the last two posters. B360 improved my battery life a lot over previous beta versions. I still think Standby was better on MM, but I get more SOT with Nougat. I'm not sure how that makes sense, exactly.

Look in the Guides section, Sympathic way to update
same here with the battery drain. I update with hicare app via officially ota. I'm thinking to rollback to emui 4.1. Android OS is eating my battery on standby
EDIT: it seems i've solved with a rollback to emui 4.1 and then reupgrade via ota!
Hello,
Can someone help me?
Before the update, when I was using the web browser and mobile data, it used to drain 1% battery for 7 minutes.
After update it went to 1% for 4 minutes.
It's almost twice.
Is there a way to rollback update, or some other fix ?

samsung bull****
Great, 10x for the information.
Yesterday it took 90 minutes to charge 45%.
Today it took 47 minutes to charge 45%.
Does anyone know what this means ?
