Spotify - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

I'm not able to create account or sign in on Spotify. The app came with phone.

Update or unistall updates then update again. Try erasing cache. How are you logging in? FB or normal way

Do you have it in your country at all? The app maybe is in the phone but Spotify must be released where you live.

Well, Spotify isn't available in your country, so this is why you can't make an account. You can disable the app since for you it is useless for now.

No he needs a VPN then he can log in

Forgot about VPNs. Yeah you can use that OP, but be aware, the free ones aren't secure at all, all of them having some kind of dubious clause. Remember, if it's free you are the product. I recommend PiA for a good one, or CyberGhost.

Ok, he literally just needs to trick the log, free vpns aren't secure but yes he'll get to log in

Need to reset to delete my email id (already rooted)

Hi,
I am already rooted. I wanted to remove my user id from gmail account so that my wife can put hers. I also deleted some of the AT&T apps after following the rooting guide.
When I tried to delete my gmail account its saying that I have to reset my phone to factory settings. My question is that can I do that knowing that I am rooted. Also what would happen to my paid and downloaded apps? Please guide.
Also I heard that new upgrade is coming will there be an issue upgrading to the new OS?
Please help..

You can do a factory reset and it will still be rooted, as for your paid apps they are tied to your Google ID so you will not be able to reinstall them if you set it up under your wife's account. You will still be able to get the upgrade but you should check the forum before you upgrade as you may lose your root with an upgrade.
Thanks/One more question

Thanks for the quick reply. Have one more question. I see that this phone is attached with my gmail id as you mentioned. I also realized that as soon as I go and buy any app it just goes through the google checkout. Is there any security I can add?
Can anyone pls help?

Well if you look in the market for antivirus it will pull up quite a few apps that say it protects you from ID theft and such...some are free and some you have to pay for. I personally do not use any but I don't do a lot of sensitive stuff on my phone..
Do you consider buying apps sensitive?
I also do not do any sensitive stuff only buy apps. The problem is that it does not reconfirm the password when you buy any app.

Thank you But, by the way, have you tested it by using the build-in twitter client? I tried that with an empty sim, I can not login by that way.
The official twitter app updates when i have no credit but it takes longer. So it appears to update for free sometimes and other times i cant tell because when you top up get free internet data.

I'm having the same problem with the IMDB app so that may be a problem with the marketplace itself. I haven't had the problem with anything else yet though.
So I think you don´t have a HTC with preinstalled apps or did your HTC Notes app update correctly?
For me it´s the second app with that problem, and that suxx
I hope there will be a solution, from side of microsoft, next time.
I'm getting it with the IMDB app too. Haven't had it with anything else yet though.
Same problem here with IMDB.
Maybe the problem only concerns this program ?
Possible solutions
For those having issues with license problems when downloading / updating apps try this: Uninstall original app & then reinstall app from Marketplace. Worked for me. Another way that has been suggested & seems to work for some people (this was suggested by MS Support) Take the battery out & replace after 60 secs & then try again. Hope this helps folks.
Hi.
Uninstall and Reinstall was the first I tried, without any result.
The 60 second battery out worked fine! Thx for this tip!

I want to change my Region in Zune account. During the registration of my profile from the phone I set the "Country" to "United Kingdom" and now I see all prices in the GBP. In my profile info at Zune.com I can change my name, e-mail address, but I cant change the Country (I need to setup to region with USD prices). Can someone help me?
I've read somewhere that there is no way to change the country of a Live ID account. You have to create another one and then, another Microsoft deadly choice, you have to do a "reset to factory" on your phone because there is no way to change the first Windows Live ID account in Settings->System->Email & Accounts.
I did the reset, added the account with the correct country as the first Windows Live ID but also added the previous account as a secondary Windows Live ID and I'm just keeping the phone in sync with the contacts, mail and calendar of this second account.

I did not have to pay for mine again. I did not take the battrery out either, I just ununstalled the app and then went to marketplace and retried the download. Worked fine then.

No.
Once you buy an application it remains free for you (unless you use a new account).

I've been hacked.

According to facebook report over my mail, someone has entered in to my fb via Xperia XA, Saratoga, CALIFORNIA, US. I am at Europe.
Most likely i was blocked because my phone Ip have changed somehow. Now i cant enter in to my account with msnger and facebook (only from browser) app on my phone. Think the security system is blocking my phone.
Ps: i had to swap Wifi with 4g in order to get access.
Did you use any vpn to access Fb?
Think not, just standart office Wifi connection. And i just check , my office location (according to my laptop is Europe), but according to my phone 4g i am at California ,Saratoga. So whats going on ?
Its something from the phone system, i changed the firmware few days ago, and the phone is encrypted now, so maybe its forcing the apps to connect via VPN network, or who knows...
really ?? my phones comes with greek firmware and now I use south Africa firmware !! is there any problem ?
Have you some apps from unofficial markets like Aptoide? Have you some apps downloaded from file-sharing links or P2P? If yes, don't search away, you probably have a malicious app.
If you are rooted, use a permission manager app, Xprivacy is good for that and allow blocking strange permissions (Facebook, Google accounts, contacts, device ident, ... for an app who don't need them).

1) Try to re-download apps from trusted sources.
2) Try AVG app integrated in the device to scan it.
3) Use Xprivacy and block unnecessary permissions on suspicious apps, make some test (block/unblock) to understand what mean each permissions. For sample, a game generally don't need root, phone contacts or SMS and needs sensors, storage and Internet.

Gear s3 apps not in app store..

Certain apps like modality and apps widget are not showing up on the samsung app store... why is that? Are apps country specific and if so why? Why would samsung cut of parts of the world on basic apps like typing apps etc? Why not have one big store... also is there a way to bypass this restriction?
I have the same issue. As if the number of apps for Tizen aren't already limited enough, Samsung limits app availability/visibility for different parts of the world.

Yeah dont know what they get from doing such a thing....
Is there anyway to bypass this?
Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
yes. you can bypass it.... first.... connect through a VPN app to a node in the USA. second, pull out your simcard.. third, go into settings --> applications --> galaxy app store and erase all data...
then go into the Galaxy App Store and BOOM! you're in the US store... there you can even purchase stuff using you samsung account. make sure you install purchases on your watch while in the US store...
after you finish, disconnect the vpn and insert your simcard. your purchases will carry over, meaning, you won't loose them... if you need to reinstall them or purchase anything else, just repeat the process...
Enjoy!

Tried it by downloading tunnel bear on windows 7 pc... than setting a hosted network... running tunnel bear and hosting the network loose connectivity on the hosted wifi network....
Any workaround?

Hi. I used the Tigr VPN app directly on my phone. Remember that you have to clear the Samsung Galaxy App Store DATA from the phone before doing all this so when it´s ran through the vpn you do it with no old data or cache on the phone.
