Distorting sound from tablet speaker. - General Questions and Answers

So I have an old Galaxy Tab 2. I mainly use it for watching YouTube and other videos. While watching a video with headphone connected today, suddenly there were cracking and distorted noise. I thought it was a headphone issue. So removed it and turned volume up and I can hear the same cracking noise from the 2 speaker of tablet's left and right side. I rebooted and heard the cracking sound when the boot image appeared. No such issue while using a Bluetooth headphone.
So what's the issue ? Is the speakers blown up for good ? I did some searching and found out that some suggested changing the whole motherboard. Will changing speakers solve it or do I need to change motherboard ?

[Q] Light Static/white noises when using earbuds?

Does anyone have issues with the audio when using in-ear earbuds? I noticed a slight static feedback (not sure how to describe it, its very slight, it doesnt distort the noise but its like a layer of white noise) when I'm actively using my tablet while having my earbuds on.
It occurs when I press on apps/unlock screen but later it goes away. However when when listening to music the white noise is always there. Is this normal?
I've already returned one of my tablets because of this and now that my second tablet has the same thing, im not sure if this is normal or am i just that unlucky.

My Earphone Jack doing stupid things

I have been using my Atrix 2 from last 4 months. There were just meager issues like network connectivity etc
Recently, I discovered that the voice output through my earphones has marginally decreased i.e. the maximum volume has decreased. I tried using other earphones also but have experienced the same thing. The speakers are doing fine. There seems to be a problem when connecting ear phones only.
Secondly, When I go to Settings/Sounds/Ringtones or any other kind of tones. I get sound from my speaker even when the earphones are plugged in . The sound output is from both speakers and earphones.
However, playing music gives me output from earphones but with less loudness(i.e. max volume)
I am pissed off because I really love listening to music. please help me. What kinda problem is this.

Could be a hardware-related issue. You might want to try to get a replacement, since you say that the phone is still under warranty...

[Q] Are there any sound quality issues beside speaker?

Hello,
the question is in the title : do you have sound quality issues throught hearphones like noise , artefacts...? It seems I have some random buzzing noises like a stuttering but I can't find where it could come from.
Nope, my headphone clarity is great and the speakers are about 50x better than nexus 4

None on my end either and personally I don't think the speakers are THAT bad.
I dont know what's causing this, it's the problem with random defects...
I managed to reproduce the issue : when I make a bug report from develloper option while listening to music.Bluetooth seems unaffected.I made a video of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XZSef6fuKU
any ideas?
thanks
The speaker is a lot quieter and not as clear as my S2, but it does the job.. Only use it so often.
But, I don't know about you guys.. what's quite annoying is that in apps that force the screen counter clockwise when viewing horizontally my hand covers the speaker and I have to adjust my holding position to hear sound. It seems strange that they didn't place the speaker and mic the opposite way round.. (maybe for calls.. I don't know..)
Also annoyingly, there's such a simple solution, if only somehow all apps could be forced the opposite way then the speakers on the top left and is never covered maybe it could be incorporated into a custom rom?

[Q] Low speaker volume

I bought my Z3(D6653) less than a month. After using a few week. The speaker sound has become softer and not loud as before (very obvious, tested in sony store). I use to listen to music when I bath. I believe the speaker is in dry state and isn't defective due to both top and bottom speaker produce low sound even in the max volume. I did try using PC Companion to repair my phone to stock, but the problem is still there. Before that, I flash speaker mod for stereo sound for incoming call with backup, after restore and flashing new ftf the problem still there. I would like to ask did anyone here experience the same issue?

Audio problems

Soo i just recently bought the phone and i got no idea what's wrong with the audio. It can be on lowest setting and you can still hear it loud out of the headphones like it's on atleast half volume plus if its quiet i can hear very loud static/crackling/buzzing/glitching/ sound like there is something short circuiting inside.. if i turn the volume up it disapears but then it murders my ears tried with 3 diffrent headphones on pc those all work flawless but on the phone on the other hand only 1 pair has clear sound the rest has that weird glitch sound no mods stock rom noticed that when listening to music its relatively ok the most it affects videos youtube etc. So any idea why it's like mega loud on lowest setting possible and where the weird static comes out?
Try Cleaning the headphone jack maybe you've got some dirt in there.. ( use something like a thin paper clip I tried to clean it with earbuds in my redmi1s ended up damaging the headphone jack)
Also for getting low volume
Try using precise volume to get extra low volume ... (Works great for me)

Thanks for the reply so precise volume indeed does lower the vol nicely tho the glitching/buzzing/crackling weird sound only gets louder the quieter it is. The phone is new so i doubt its the dirty jack tho i claned it anyway just to be sure problem still presists
The buzzing sound is actually mostly due to improper contact in headphone jack .... I've noticed it I'm my old phone (redmi 1s) which I had popped open several times
I fixed it on my old phone by just ripping everything apart , fixing the contact pins(as I mentioned I damaged it by trying to clean it with a earbud) to touch the connectors on my headphones' cable , reassembled it
Worked fine.... But wouldn't recommend it as
1. Phones these days can't be popped open like the old ones
2. High chance You might end up damaging the audio jack further ( if you decide to adjust it with a pin)
Better you get it replaced if covered in warranty or Maybe if it doesn't matter that much , go ahead with a paper clip / pin....
BTW responding late because I've got some exams coming so trying to reduce internet usage time a bit
