Hi,
My S6 edge (SM-G925F) appears to be bricked, or something. I cannot access recovery mode, wipe cache partition, or perform a reset. When I do turn the phone on, it gets as far as "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge powered by Android" and continuously loops. I can however access the download mode.
In download mode it gives the following details if this is any help,
ODIN Mode
Product Name: SM-G925F
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Reactivation Lock: Off
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox Warranty Void: 1 (0x0203)
RP SWREV: B:5 K:2 S:2
I tried flashing the phone with this firmware updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=85560321743B11E7963AFA163EE8F90
{

Odin passes but nothing has changed on the phone. It's still stuck in a loop and I can only access download mode.
I've tried using the recovery modes on Kies & Smart Switch but they do not recognise my phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have same problem, too

Hi diplomat22,
I had the same problem. Whenever I tried to flash the Stock ROM things got worse, until in the end I had the same problem as you. Then I read that AOKP image cures almost always such problems - and it worked ! Don't do this if phone is still under warranty as it triggers the knox counter !
If you can still access download mode try the following:
download the latest TWRP file for your S6 model
download AOKP image for your S6 model
download GAPPS for your S6 model
enter download mode
flash TWRP with Odin, but un-tick "Auto-Reboot" in Odin
when completed go to recovery at once (don't let the phone try to boot normally, just "kill" phone and hold the buttons for recovery mode)
when in recovery (TWRP) start ADB software (if you don't know how google samsung galaxy S6 ADB for advice)
transfer the downloaded AOKP image and GAPPS to your phone (/sdcard is a nice place) via ADB
wipe cache in TWRP
install image and GAPPS
wipe cache and reboot your phone
everything should be normal by then
Good luck !
Peter

*Run ODIN and point the downloaded stock ROM(PDA only)
*Get your device in download mode (Volume down+Home button+Power key)
*Connect to PC via USB
*Your phone should be detected by ODIN by now and com port should turn yellow.
*Press Start and wait till its completely done and you get a message as "PASSED".

wtf... use ODIN V1.81 or V1.85.. you are using that for galaxy tab.. I think maybe thats the problem
Flash pit first. Than Dicon the USB. Than take out battery than put back battery. Than download mode again. Than connect USB again than flash the firmware.
Did you ever read the guide?

So, your device says it's a 5110? Is your recovery custom or stock? Do you have root?
If you have root, you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856532
If you don't have custom recovery, try to install it and then flash a correct ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202635

You didn't tell me which recovery you have. If it's a custom recovery, that would be a big help. You could download a ROM to your external sd card and flash it that way. If it's stock recovery, well that's not so good.
i can flash twrp v2.4.0.0

Hmm my tab never reboot it self.. now i have TWRP v2.7.0.1 on it.
its posible to install rom now but no diverence the tab starts only in recovery and does not reboot it self..
Flash latest recovery for your device, for p31xx and p51xx find the link in my signature.
Make a factory reset and wipe /system, after that flash a Rom for your device.

That's happening because you cannot downgrade from OJ7 to a lower image. Once you upgrade the bootloader from an OTA/Manual flash, you cannot downgrade it. Take the latest OL1 Bell image and flash it to your device if you are trying to get to the latest version.
Check the S6 Thread for how to download images directly from Samsung using SamFirm. I recall posting a short guide in that thread. After downloading, flash the entire image using ODIN and it will update you to the newest firmware. The images are identical for all Canadian carriers. Bloat will be determined from the sim/efs and applied at boot regardless of whichever carrier image you flash.
After flashing, go into stock samsung recovery and do a full wipe and it shoudl bring your phone back to bootable state.
Flash newer firmware
Try to root your device using supersu 2.65 and try this will remove your DM verity key in kernel if still same install uni kernel this will definitely boot your device to normal (uni kernel only work with OS 5.1.1)

You cannot downgrade. Only way would be to take it to the service center.

ClockworkMod v6.0.5.1
This is for the International GT-I9060I (Grand Neo Plus ) models only! Do not flash on Non Plus models!
WARNING #1: Flashing a custom recovery to your device will trip the ODIN warranty bit on your phone. Check with your mobile provider to see if they will still cover warranty on ODIN bit triggered devices. If you understand this risk, continue on.
You generally don't have to worry, as it's incredibly hard to brick a Samsung device, and physical damage warranties should be exempt from ODIN Mode triggering.
SOLUTION: Follow the full rooting steps below, in order, to allow system modifications without the risk of a boot loop!
WHAT IS CWM?
ClockworkMod Recovery is a custom recovery for Android devices.
