TWRP with Internal storage decryption on Mate 9 - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

I tried the Honor TWRP view 10 in Mate 9 and it works. Here is the link from the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769917

Tested, decryption works, haven't tested anything else though

Did you try on Nougat or Oreo?

It's because RR is android 8.1. This recovery only works on 8.0.

will this allow OTA update to work with TWRP?

Haha. That's from my mega
It's just zxzO0Os version (0.3) for Honor 9, but I changed something as it wouldn't boot, but can't remember what...
Anyhow, I can't use the ones for Mate 10 either.

Can't install TWRP (FRD-L09 EMUI 5.0 Nougat)

Hi, I have a new phone and before unlocking the bootloader/TWRP/root I updated to EMUI 5.0.
Now I'm unable to install TWRP. I tryed different version of it.
Every time I flashed it on fastboot, no error, but when the phone reboot, I still have the eRecovery of EMUI. Even if a tryed the compatible TWRP for Nougat, I still have this issue.
Any support captain? Is there a way to downgrade to Emui 4.0?
Are you using a button combination or adb to get into recovery?

I have exactly the same problem, flashed almost every version of TWRP - no errors but every time I end up in emui recovery.
So what do you exactly did to enter the twrp?

Just to be clear:
I used this thread to unlock and root and it didn't work (the twrp section):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-tested-root-t3443946
maybe the author can update this section and put there link to working twrp: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563

Nothing to blame him. Maybe that one was only for EMUI 4, old one. I guess you are using EMUI 5. He got no need to change. ?

honor logo stuck

After I flashed TWRP 3.1.1.0 it was successfully. Then I reboot to TWRP and format then yes then got error then reboot TWRP again and format again it went ok then reboot system. Honor logo hangs. What did I do wrong? I had to rollback to MM start over again. Same result.
How many minutes does this logo hangs?

Oh ok, thanks. That's sad because Systemless Xposed can't be installed without accessing data partition and default Xposed causes a bootloop.
I think it's because the TWRP version we have for Oreo doesn't support decryption, unlike the OpenKirin version for Android N.

Android 9.0 Pie patched boot.img

You can simply flash those from fastboot with :
fastboot flash boot "NB-01-551-b05-Magisk-TWRP"
The image is pre-patched with Magisk 17.3 and TWRP 3.2.3.0
Download

Reflash boot partitions, if this hasn't helped then your only hope is to flash pie image with NOST.

Question [Solved] Twrp fails! On samsung a12

Hi there!
Yesterday I was trying to install twrp on my samsung a12 (A125F) running android 11. I've tried Samsung Auto TWRP porter v1.1 by Hovatek. But when I've tried to install via odin it failed.
So I've downloaded unofficial TWRP from internet and tried to install via twrp app. Everything was ok but when I tried entering custom recovery it started bootlooping (Still goes on)
How can I fix my problem?

If you download the stable build yes, you may only encounter problems with the screen touch after putting the phone to sleep (idle mode). Currently working on finding a fix.
