Hi guys.
I want to say about something very interest.
Honor 8 and Huawei Mate 8 have the same processor and working now on same OS Android 7.0 EMUI 5.0.1,but in Mate 8 have FM radio.
This is the latest firmware files for Mate 8 in Huawei servers finded via Firmware Finder.
ROM Stock Android 7.0 EMUI 5.0.1
NXT-L29C10B583
Update.zip
update_full_hw_ru.zip
update_data_full_public.zip
I have copied the file HwFMRadio.apk from Mate 8 firmware to my Honor 8 >>> System/App/HwFMRadio/HwFMRadio.apk with permissions ,folder 755 and file 644.
After restart the phone in applications now have FM Radio, but not working.
I think need some files too or something for editing in Honor 8 .
The honor 8 has no FM receiver.
It included in processor and no need other receiver for tuning.
No, it's not.
Some models have the radio fm hardware, but not are active
I don't know if Honor8 have the radio fm integrated in the motherboard. For activate is needed make a kernel changes, and is very difficult to do in the honor-8 kernel.
Only open kirin team can help us with this question.

I would be curious to know and I suspect it is although I know little about the Kirin chip. It's a shame the modem isn't Qualcomm since every Qualcomm LTE modem the world carries FM capability even the iPhone.
As far as i know, the H8 hasn't an FM receiver. The fact that Mate 8 has an FM receiver and it is on Nougat with EMUI 5.0.1 as H8 doesn't mean anything, because the FM receiver is an hardware related thing. I don't remember the Mate 8 cpu but i think it's different from H8 so probably it isn't even integrates in it

Mate 8 and Honor 8 have the same CPU >>> Kirin 950
Look bud, I've told you twice now it's not possible. Let it go.

Hello guys,
I have a question, I found on MIUI website a ROM for Honor 6 (TD Advanced Version).
What are the differences between Honor 6 (TDA) and L04...?
I found this ROM here: http://en.miui.com/download-250.html
And I would to know, can I flash it or would I get problems with this?
I hope you can answer that :good:
The Honor 6 has a few variations H60-L01, H60-L02, H60-L04, H60-L12 i believe
each have very small variations, such as dual sim or NFC capabilites.
I cant speak for you, but im running that rom on my H60-L02 and its very buggy, i have to keep it in airplane mode as it constantly pops up with errors about com.android.mobile.
Im having a major headache trying to put on any other rom or stock rom without getting bootloop too.
End of the day, dont think the MIUI rom port is ready just yet.

Hello friend. I use L02 model and have installed unoffical and customized MIUI 5.3.4 version from china forum. There is only English and Chinese. But power consumption is terrible. Another things are normal and there are some small problems too.
can I flash L01 on L04 or L02 on L04
I have a friend who bought a Huawei 6s from China.
Model number: DIG-TL10
RAM: 3GB
ROM: 32GB
EMUI 4.1 (Android 6.0)
Unfortunately, can't seem to find an English ROM for this.
Did some further research, and found this site:
http://huaweip9.it/schede-tecniche-huawei/huawei-enjoy-6s/
It was stated there that this model was released globally under different names, and it seems the closest twin would be the Honor 6c.
Would it be possible to flash a Honor 6c ROM on this phone?
So that I will have a full English ROM.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

That is also my concern. There might be slight differences that could cause soft brick or worse, if done incorrectly.

Hi guys! Reading on the internet I saw that all the smartphones that natively mount android oreo 8.0 will support Project Treble and consequently the possibility to mount this particular type of custom rom. My question is: if Honor 8 will be updated to Oreo, will the compatibility of the project be extended to this device too?
I ask this because I have also read that most of the tests have been carried out on the new 960/70 kirins mounted in the most recent devices. Thank you in advance
First we have to get the Oreo Update, but even if we get it, it doesn't mean that we will get Treble support, every Phone that comes out with Oreo is forced to support it. Right now, the Oreo custom Rom Supports treble if I remember correctly.
Correct me if i am wrong but doesnt Honor 8 already have separate vendor partition?
Also we have custom O Rom in the forums with Treble support included
Honor already has a vendor partition similar to the one in android oreo, thats why its very easy for honor to support project treble for their devices even if they did not come out with oreo. All honor/huawei devices that get the oreo update will support treble. If you look for example in the Honor 8 Pro section, you will notice that there are Roms that support treble, the same will happen to the honor 8 when/if we finally get the oreo update.

As soon as we get Oreo, custom rom support will be easier right?

Yes. And i think it will bring us also the same camera quality as on stock and support for 60fps Video.
Rommco05 said:
Are you sure? I do not think the camera wil be the same quality as the stock cam in custom rom

Well i am not a developer so i am not sure, but i asked in the development threat if the camera will be the same quality as stock and the developer said yes. I mean all hardware drivers are in a separate partition so it should include the camera right? But i dont think we will have as many camera features on custom roms because they dont use the stock camera app.

I'm also not a developer. But when I know the camera, drivers are needed and they only have Huawei

Yeah and the drivers and all that stuff are in the seperate partition... But i guess we will find that out when/if the honor 8 gets oreo..
The application will stop working and We lost something important Because of Huawei's policy!
Dont know what you talking about.

probably about this :
"owners of devices with EMUI 8.1+ out of the box, the functions of sending the firmware to the System update will not work on your devices.Owners of other devices on EMUI8 and EMUI5, if you have an update with the May security patch andabove, you probably also have this feature stopped working. This is due to Huawei's transition to a new update distribution server using SSL encryption. At this time, there is no way to make the function work."

I used Proxy-Method. Simply go into ff and open the latest approved for installation firmware. For europe C432 it's B503. But due to the fact you're german lies das hier.

Thx. But don't work.
Since Firmware Finder has nothing to do with unlocking, its pretty useless.

Try searching for your phone version manually here

Hi,
There is a thread for "What phone should I buy" not for Tablet...
So, what tablet should I buy to run a de-GAFAM, de-googled ROM ?
I had a look on Samsung but it seems that some ROM are not working (LineageOS) on some references.
BTW, what ROM do you advice like LineageOS or better?
Thank you for your help.

I think you your answer is relative with the compatibility. However the hardware is weak compare to the Samsung, display type, resolution, cpu, internal memory, ...
I can go to €350, any other idea?
