And i decided to buy Mi4 and i need your advice...
Am living in Cyprus (Europe)
1. Which sites are trusted.? And which are you recommend
2. What to choose standard English rom or multi rom
3. When do we expect black colour?
4.what shipping method to choose?

Hi,
1) Sites that are trusted are http://www.xiaomishop.com/ and http://www.ibuygou.com/
To name a few. I would recommend xiaomishop because you can choose to ship from Europe so you avoid customs, taxes etc
2) The phone will ship with normal MIUI which has Chinese or English language . If you want more languages see the multi rom version here http://xiaomi.eu/community/
3) Black was released in China only on the 28th of October. There is no date for international availability
4) For shipping, I would recommend http://www.xiaomishop.com/
Because they have a warehouse in Europe, make sure to choose that option to make thigns easier :good:

No black version in other countries, not yet.
Vickmall prices are the same as xiaomishop, 389 dollars. With Vickmall they are located in China so you will have to deal with customs and taxes whereas xiaomishop has a warehouse in europe so it will be easier for you :good:

But they want 35 euros for delivery, and that is ridiculous...

since today, the black version is available on xiaomi's shop. Just ordered mine.

Is it still worth buying? I don't really care a lot about LTE. I was wondering if is still a good choice Mi4 64GB and how much should i pay for a second-hand ? 300€?

Yes it is worth byuing, i'm going to update my white to black version when i see good price. Don't care 4G either, all frequencies are not supported here so i'm not gonna pay extra for it.
I like especially display and camera, also speaker phone works very well compared to other phones i've had. MIUI v6 is still work in progress, but xiaomi.eu developer versions have been good enough for daily use, not major problems so far.

absolutely! Been using it for a few weeks now and can't spot any disadvantage. Only the battery seems a bit weak, but up to now, i always got past one day without the need of recharging.

I have ordered from giztop they are good, they just take a while to ship (expect 2-3weeks which was my case)
I currently use Liaow , absolute best cust service . Prices are a bit higher but the communication with them is top notch . I pre ordered my Nubia X from there

I found a local reseller that sells 6/64 for around 520 usd. Is there an even lower price than that? Choosing between this and honor note 10

Not sure which country you are in, but it's in shopee philippines. Just search nubia x and it's there for pre-order. Not sure if they sell outside the country though

China Roms
Lets assume the links online from Giztop, Geekbuying, etc... are currently for Chinese Roms Only.
Do Global roms typically support different network bands than Chinese Roms?
I want to buy the Nubia ASAP, sites say it will ship in 20 days or so...Im comfortable rooting and installing google play services etc..
But im worried about network compatibility. The Chinese version supports the network bands I will be using..but would a global rom typically support more bands so I can travel and still use it anywhere....

I couldn't wait.. I ordered the 8gb model on giztop..
From what research I've done today It seems having the chinese rom on most fones is actually better.
Apparently there is more access to updates. I don't see any differences in things like network compatibility across the different rom versions.. Also discovered certain websites selling china fones often put their own modded version of the chinese roms onto the fone and label them as global roms, since some fones were never meant for other countries anyway.
Im comfortable with rooting if necessary to install google play services etc.. But I don't think I'll have to root this to do that.
Anyways.. Can't wait to get it... I was on the fence with the magic 2 & mix 3 until I saw this one a few days ago. Im definitely going to have the coolest fone around lol!

Be careful with china roms. In oppo, there are 2 china versions, regular and with t versions. Those are aside from international version. So 3 versions total. Only regular china roms get updates/upgrades.
Can't wait to get this phone too. Hopefully developers make custom roms tha will make both screens work even smoother than stock os.

It really comes down to the bands listed on the box. For Canada, you need LTE band 4 and 7 for it to work with the major 3. I think I going to order from Giztop too because Aliexpress is being a b|tch and keep asking me to send in photo of my credit card to verify after I switched cards.

Just a heads up, Visa Fraud dept called me a few hours after my payment to Giztop. All good, they seem to have anything from China flagged.
Also, my credit & debit cards would not work on Geekbuying, but they have a lower price than giztop by about $20.

Needless scrutiny on the credit card company side. I used my HSBC card so they know that I'm not sheltered assuming I only buy within North America. Had to cancel my Capital One Costco card recently because they were being stupid and prevented a $1USD authorization "for my protection". That was the card linked to Aliexpress account and now I got a new can of worms of "need verification" bull crap I have to deal with. Since I ordered from Giztop, I think I may just delete the Aliexpress account. Life's too short to be hassled by companies who are only out to protect themselves by storing my information on their servers and making me prove that I am who I am.
Can't wait to get the phone. Pretty sure the 2nd screen is a gimmick but still cool none the less.

Oh For sure the 2nd screen is a gimmick. It only has a 720p resolution. I dont take selfies ever unless with a group of friends or something, I think it will be cool to get the quality from the rear camera and see what you're doing, but then view the quality on the main screen.
I was set on a full screen phone and really like this design...i think it will look pretty fancy. I love the idea of having the back screen showing a clock, notifications, or that little fish thing they're advertising.
When do you think it will actually ship though? Giztop site has said "shipping in 7-10 days" all week, which leads me to believe they dont have an accurate date.

I'm thinking it should ship for next week since it was released this week in the Chinese market. I always wanted a truly bezeless phone and still rocking the original Mi Mix but Xiaomi really dropped the ball hard since then. If the Nubia X wasn't announced, I would have gotten the Nubia z18 since it doesn't have any side bezels.

Any idea about google play services support? If it comes with it or it's possible to get it I might get myself an early Christmas present

I am expecting this phone to come without Google services, but it seems quite simple to install yourself...just like downloading any other APK's.
Im slightly worried it may need to be rooted to install google..with this being brand new not sure if ill figure out how to root this one..

Apparently unlocking the bootloader of the Nubia phones is quite simple, only one command through CMD and that's it, bit like oneplus unlocking which is neat I hope there will be TWRP support soon enough(the Z18 isn't listed on the TWRP site even though it's already released).

I just received my X from Liaow , i have ordered multiple phones and the customer service is second to none. you may pay a bit more but i have had 0 issues . Mike is a great guy...
I also would like to say i have not been able to get any google services to work on the nubia X .

The link I gave is the European model. The Netherlands got it much earlier. ? All models are the same from everything that I've read.

Belsimpel.nl offers sim free European model and deliver almost everywhere in Europe.

however it's a Chinese model. Most likely won't be able to flash Global ROM on it... but the price is very tempting!

OnePlus 8 Pro looks impressive, but I'm not a fan of the green and the camera no quite on par from initial comparisons. What are your thoughts?

I also didn't like the green too much, but the blue version looks amazing on all reviews no matter that on oneplus' webpage the picture of the blue looks ugly. For the camera I agree that probably it won't be the absolute best but I wouldn't look at Oneplus anyways if the camera was my top priority. However I think it will be updated and it will be top-of-the-line. Oneplus is the king of updates and UX. The screen is the best, stereo speakers, fastest wireless charging. I also like that they removed the motorized camera tbh(i know this is subjective, but still). The curve of the screen is not something that I appreciate, but also I get used to this( I had the Vivo Nex 3, Huawei Mate 30 Pro) and don't mind in the end.
Some things I like better on the Find X2 Pro(the back finish for example and the faster wired charging), but OnePlus 8 Pro gets my vote because the community is beyond comparison so we will get all kinds of things to play with over here at XDA. +good battery +fastest wireless charging +the best screen +great camera +Oxygen(btw Find X2 Pro is similar) +best updates.
In the end -> I placed my pre-order of the blue 256GB model and hopefully will get it by the end of next week.

Hi, sadly I don't. I waited for two weeks (6 days for it to be in stock) and they still didn't send it despite having it in stock (despite their adverts saying thar they send phones 7 days a week until 11pm etc) and I cancelled the order and bought a P40 Pro instead.

I’ve ordered the orange variant from Belsimpel.nl, shipped Friday so hope to receive sometime this week (UK). Took a few days to get through fraud check as I’m not in the Netherlands but appreciate that is for my safety also. By the time i got through the checks it said 2-4 days to get stock in but they actually shipped immediately. Not sure if they put one to the side for me but doubt it!

I've took the gamble too. Have just ordered the black from belsimpel.nl
Looked at all the alternatives, and although some of the China ones were cheaper, they were all just 256gb. I would have liked dual sim but the chance of the phone not supporting android auto and/or wifi calling (plus only one year warranty - and the possibility of customs charges etc) was too much of a gamble. None of the Chinese merchants would commit.
Hopefully, this will arrive swiftly... nice black 512Gb single SIM for just over €1,204 including shipping. Reckon that even when(if) it turns up in UK it'll be similar price for 512Gb.
Ordering, like you say, was a bit of a miff... but I'll take that for security purposes.

Just for info, the tracking on mine was stuck, it still said it was waiting to be picked up by the courier for 3 days after it 'shipped'. It wasn't though it was in transit and arrived within 3 working days

Arrived 2nd Day after shipping. Has Android Auto, WiFi calling (yet to test), so currently quite happy

Are You Getting the "Ultra" or Planning to Buy? Pre-Order?

So as much as I like being back on Apple as it just makes my life that much simpler (only need one phone for work and home, everything just works, etc.), my curiosity and need to be on the "newest" shiny thing to come out over powered my reason...
With that, I did it... Hopped on liaow.com and pre-order the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (He calls it the "Extreme Edition", its soooo extreme!!!!)
So I guess the question becomes, is anyone else getting this beast?
I preordered the 256GB 12GB version since I don't want go outrageous and didn't want to go into the +$1200 USD range... now I'll just wait for delivery hopefully in 2 weeks...!!! :good:

I just want a smart charging pad!!!

I am thinking to get one. Waiting for two information:
- JerryRigsEverything tests
- some devs to make custom rom that is closer to stock Android (the MIUI 12 is impressive tho)

Have any of you guys ordered any Xiaomi phones before to the USA after the ban happened? I'm afraid that the phone might get confiscated at the post office or something. I have the impression that the postal services are very anal about stuff coming from China these days and they have opened everything I order on AliExpress or wish. Liaow. They're being really nice, the dude emailed me a few times to let me know things, to check I know what I'm doing, to see if I want it set to English, and he sent me a photo of the package with my address on
No band 20 / 800mhz for 4g in the UK though. So be careful what network you are on.. EE seem to support the most 4G bands (there's like, 2 bands for short and medium range in towns and cities, whereas the missing band 20 is the low frequency for the most coverage)

I also ordered one. However I am worried that some apps which I often use wont work:
UBS banking
Interactive brokers (stocks)
These apps probably rely on SafetyNet Check and will not work on the device as it has a Chinese ROM. Do you guys have any solution so that also secured banking apps will work?

Got mine Saturday... bought from liaow... 256GB 12GB Transparent... Breath Taking... Gets 5G with T-Mobile... I've also forced VoLTE Check & VoWiFi. Other than that.... China Rom of MIUI 12 is not too bad. "OK Google" works and with the installation of a 3rd party launcher (NovaLauncher) I got Google Discover as my leftmost screen. This thing is buttery smooth @ 120 refresh rate... haven't tried the fast charging as I don't want to ruin the accessories (don't know how long I'll keep this phone). Haven't field tested camera but I'm going on a short trip over Labor Day and plan to give it a run through. Battery life seems very decent.

custom rom support

do you think poco x3 will have custom rom support? what's your oppinion about this? i want to buy a new Phone, should i buy redmi note 9s (curtana) or poco x3 nfc for custom rom support?

Having a new CPU and a camera sensor used only in 15 devices surely does not help. Combine that with the fact that xiaomi products are more and more secure and bootloader unlock times tend to increase and also the fact that they are not easily release source code, I tend to think that it will be an obscure device regarding development. Or it could be the next poco f1. Or oneplus 1/3. I have hope I'm terribly wrong and the development will be great because I'm thinking about buying the device. But then again there are a lot of xiaomi devices left behind. Being a android 10 device also will not help regarding custom recoveryes like twrp.
Le: because of the above I'm reluctant buying another xiaomi device. And pocophone f1 still sounds like a good idea.

they're releasing code right away and its a beast of a phone so more people should have it

Just ordered my Poco X3. I think for the price, it's really an unbeatable package all things considered. Here's to hoping the custom development will be popular like Poco F1 is!

Really hope there will be roms like for x2.
I took the chance and ordered x3 from Aliexpress because at this price I think it's worth the gamble .
I hope many people will think like me and we will have some development running

After all the possible discounts I managed to get 128GB version for 152€ (180$) I think it's worth the risk...for the price it's a beast

The fact that it's getting a global release, including in India, bodes well for development. The launch has had a huge media campaign and the specs are unbeatable for the price. And kernel sources already released, hopefully without anything missing.

How did you get such a good price? I used a code to get 10 USD off but it is far from your price.
In additin, I agree with you, the low price make it a good gamble.
180 euro / 215 USD seems more right but even that is crazy low

I got some discounts for my AliExpress account + my bank has some good cashback for orders on Ali so after all that it was this.
It should arrive in about an hour according to tracking the shipping was crazy fast

Thay sounds awesome. Even for my discounted price I think it is a good deal.
My phone is not even shipped yet I do not think it will arrive within 7 days as promised.

Since it is shipped to Israel from China I guess I have at least one month of waiting...
At least I hope there will be some nice roms by the time I will get it

Did you order from Aliexpress - China warehouse?

I ordered from Ali, Spain warehouse... according to tracking it's already near me but will be delivered on Monday/tuesday

No I ordered it from shopee during 9/9 flash sale and it is from global mi store China. According to my tracking number it is already shipped out

They only started shipping today, so unless you live in Spain, next to the warehouse it is nowhere remotely close to you!

i ordered mine from france at 148.01€ in 64gb and i hope that the recovery and roms are coming soon ! I like pixel experience rom !

Not true, I've got mine since yesterday. It was shipped on 9th of September.
I did order it from Ali and I did request it from the Spanish warehouse, I'm from Portugal.

Before have custom rom, I want root Step by Step
I will receive mine this monday, ship on mi store france
I already create group and channel for poco x3 if anyone want come but it's empty for now
