And i decided to buy Mi4 and i need your advice...
Am living in Cyprus (Europe)
1. Which sites are trusted.? And which are you recommend
2. What to choose standard English rom or multi rom
3. When do we expect black colour?
4.what shipping method to choose?

Hi,
1) Sites that are trusted are http://www.xiaomishop.com/ and http://www.ibuygou.com/
To name a few. I would recommend xiaomishop because you can choose to ship from Europe so you avoid customs, taxes etc
2) The phone will ship with normal MIUI which has Chinese or English language . If you want more languages see the multi rom version here http://xiaomi.eu/community/
3) Black was released in China only on the 28th of October. There is no date for international availability
4) For shipping, I would recommend http://www.xiaomishop.com/
Because they have a warehouse in Europe, make sure to choose that option to make thigns easier :good:

No black version in other countries, not yet.
Vickmall prices are the same as xiaomishop, 389 dollars. With Vickmall they are located in China so you will have to deal with customs and taxes whereas xiaomishop has a warehouse in europe so it will be easier for you :good:

But they want 35 euros for delivery, and that is ridiculous...

since today, the black version is available on xiaomi's shop. Just ordered mine.

Is it still worth buying? I don't really care a lot about LTE. I was wondering if is still a good choice Mi4 64GB and how much should i pay for a second-hand ? 300€?

Yes it is worth byuing, i'm going to update my white to black version when i see good price. Don't care 4G either, all frequencies are not supported here so i'm not gonna pay extra for it.
I like especially display and camera, also speaker phone works very well compared to other phones i've had. MIUI v6 is still work in progress, but xiaomi.eu developer versions have been good enough for daily use, not major problems so far.

absolutely! Been using it for a few weeks now and can't spot any disadvantage. Only the battery seems a bit weak, but up to now, i always got past one day without the need of recharging.

I am in the US but ordered from Clove.co.uk - they told me the pre-order was shipping on the 8th - I hope that happens, I can't wait to snap a few pictures with that Camera and see for myself how good it is - read several reviews yesterday and I am more excited than ever.

I thought it was a lot cheaper where you are. £869 is roughly $1200.

s9+ ordered from the Samsung store coming from my very battered and bruised s7 edge, pretty excited!
What colour did everyone go for? I'm breaking from tradition and going for the Coral Blue (Always had black)

Ran me $1,023 vs $840 before tax for the gimped U.S. model. For the extra money I'm getting 128GB and Exynos (and all its perks). Definitely worth the extra, and the fact that there are no free items this time made the choice that much easier.

Yeah seems like a better decision to go for.
But check ur bands to make sure u can actually use the exynos version in the States, there are some diff ones especially with likes of t mobile etc

Just a reminder guys that if you are ordering directly and have an older phone to make sure you pick up a nano SIM.
You don't that suprise on delivery.

No import tax that I'm aware of. I assume they would charge that up front once I provided my address.

I have ordered from giztop they are good, they just take a while to ship (expect 2-3weeks which was my case)
I currently use Liaow , absolute best cust service . Prices are a bit higher but the communication with them is top notch . I pre ordered my Nubia X from there

I found a local reseller that sells 6/64 for around 520 usd. Is there an even lower price than that? Choosing between this and honor note 10

Not sure which country you are in, but it's in shopee philippines. Just search nubia x and it's there for pre-order. Not sure if they sell outside the country though

Lets assume the links online from Giztop, Geekbuying, etc... are currently for Chinese Roms Only.
Do Global roms typically support different network bands than Chinese Roms?
I want to buy the Nubia ASAP, sites say it will ship in 20 days or so...Im comfortable rooting and installing google play services etc..
But im worried about network compatibility. The Chinese version supports the network bands I will be using..but would a global rom typically support more bands so I can travel and still use it anywhere....

I couldn't wait.. I ordered the 8gb model on giztop..
From what research I've done today It seems having the chinese rom on most fones is actually better.
Apparently there is more access to updates. I don't see any differences in things like network compatibility across the different rom versions.. Also discovered certain websites selling china fones often put their own modded version of the chinese roms onto the fone and label them as global roms, since some fones were never meant for other countries anyway.
Im comfortable with rooting if necessary to install google play services etc.. But I don't think I'll have to root this to do that.
Anyways.. Can't wait to get it... I was on the fence with the magic 2 & mix 3 until I saw this one a few days ago. Im definitely going to have the coolest fone around lol!

Be careful with china roms. In oppo, there are 2 china versions, regular and with t versions. Those are aside from international version. So 3 versions total. Only regular china roms get updates/upgrades.
Can't wait to get this phone too. Hopefully developers make custom roms tha will make both screens work even smoother than stock os.

It really comes down to the bands listed on the box. For Canada, you need LTE band 4 and 7 for it to work with the major 3. I think I going to order from Giztop too because Aliexpress is being a b|tch and keep asking me to send in photo of my credit card to verify after I switched cards.

Just a heads up, Visa Fraud dept called me a few hours after my payment to Giztop. All good, they seem to have anything from China flagged.
Also, my credit & debit cards would not work on Geekbuying, but they have a lower price than giztop by about $20.

Needless scrutiny on the credit card company side. I used my HSBC card so they know that I'm not sheltered assuming I only buy within North America. Had to cancel my Capital One Costco card recently because they were being stupid and prevented a $1USD authorization "for my protection". That was the card linked to Aliexpress account and now I got a new can of worms of "need verification" bull crap I have to deal with. Since I ordered from Giztop, I think I may just delete the Aliexpress account. Life's too short to be hassled by companies who are only out to protect themselves by storing my information on their servers and making me prove that I am who I am.
Can't wait to get the phone. Pretty sure the 2nd screen is a gimmick but still cool none the less.

Oh For sure the 2nd screen is a gimmick. It only has a 720p resolution. I dont take selfies ever unless with a group of friends or something, I think it will be cool to get the quality from the rear camera and see what you're doing, but then view the quality on the main screen.
I was set on a full screen phone and really like this design...i think it will look pretty fancy. I love the idea of having the back screen showing a clock, notifications, or that little fish thing they're advertising.
When do you think it will actually ship though? Giztop site has said "shipping in 7-10 days" all week, which leads me to believe they dont have an accurate date.

I'm thinking it should ship for next week since it was released this week in the Chinese market. I always wanted a truly bezeless phone and still rocking the original Mi Mix but Xiaomi really dropped the ball hard since then. If the Nubia X wasn't announced, I would have gotten the Nubia z18 since it doesn't have any side bezels.

Any idea about google play services support? If it comes with it or it's possible to get it I might get myself an early Christmas present

I am expecting this phone to come without Google services, but it seems quite simple to install yourself...just like downloading any other APK's.

So im hoping Everything will go smoothly.

Apparently unlocking the bootloader of the Nubia phones is quite simple, only one command through CMD and that's it, bit like oneplus unlocking which is neat I hope there will be TWRP support soon enough(the Z18 isn't listed on the TWRP site even though it's already released).

I just received my X from Liaow , i have ordered multiple phones and the customer service is second to none. you may pay a bit more but i have had 0 issues . Mike is a great guy...

Yup, got the "Shipped" notice about 2 pm!
I sold my 7 months old Pixel 3 XL for $750 and thought a lot as what to get, i.e, Xperia 1, S10+ or even wait
for Pixel 4, but the more I looked and also what OnePlus has done with 7 Pro plus the "Development" community's
excellent work with OnePlus devices left me with one choice only!

Yeah it's expensive here but I had about $650 saved up in anticipation for the 7 Pro. I also might sell my 6T so that will basically pay for the remainder of the 7 Pro.
That conversion though, wasn't expecting it to be so drastic compared to USD lol.

I ordered the blue 8/256 the second it went on sale. Should be here tuesday it says.

I'm buying it but getting it shipped to the USA soooo

Ordered the 12/256GB will see how things go. It's either this or a Pixel 3a. My S9 Plus bootloader is still locked

$1200 vs $600

The conversion rate puts a dent on Canadian wallets. I’ve ordered the blue 256gb. Will be comparing to the pixel 3 XL which is also an amazing phone since android Q beta.

Hard pass for me. Too much compromise for that premium price. Great phone though! ?

This is some device! I always when it comes to power, smoothness and refine, Pixel is the king.
No more! The screen, the scrolling are amazing and the Haptic Engine is in par with Apple's.
I know nothing is perfect but this device is awesome.

I ordered mine the second it went on sale. It shipped from LA and it's waiting for me at the Edmonton DHL depot. I asked why they didn't deliver today, the operator said they were closed. Funny how some offices are open on holidays. I'll hlbe picking it up right when they open ?

Not yet! I'd like to keep it stock for a little while to gauge the battery and all
on fully stock and then when everything is stable i.e TWRP, MAGISK.
But a lot of people have already done it.

So as much as I like being back on Apple as it just makes my life that much simpler (only need one phone for work and home, everything just works, etc.), my curiosity and need to be on the "newest" shiny thing to come out over powered my reason...
With that, I did it... Hopped on liaow.com and pre-order the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (He calls it the "Extreme Edition", its soooo extreme!!!!)

- some devs to make custom rom that is closer to stock Android (the MIUI 12 is impressive tho)

I'm using RevolutionOS on my Mi 9 but a Xiaomi.EU ROM would be fine with me. I want to root it

Liaow. They're being really nice, the dude emailed me a few times to let me know things, to check I know what I'm doing, to see if I want it set to English, and he sent me a photo of the package with my address on
No band 20 / 800mhz for 4g in the UK though. So be careful what network you are on.. EE seem to support the most 4G bands (there's like, 2 bands for short and medium range in towns and cities, whereas the missing band 20 is the low frequency for the most coverage)

I also ordered one. However I am worried that some apps which I often use wont work:
UBS banking
Interactive brokers (stocks)
These apps probably rely on SafetyNet Check and will not work on the device as it has a Chinese ROM. Do you guys have any solution so that also secured banking apps will work?

Got mine Saturday... bought from liaow... 256GB 12GB Transparent... Breath Taking... Gets 5G with T-Mobile... I've also forced VoLTE Check & VoWiFi. Other than that.... China Rom of MIUI 12 is not too bad. "OK Google" works and with the installation of a 3rd party launcher (NovaLauncher) I got Google Discover as my leftmost screen. This thing is buttery smooth @ 120 refresh rate... haven't tried the fast charging as I don't want to ruin the accessories (don't know how long I'll keep this phone). Haven't field tested camera but I'm going on a short trip over Labor Day and plan to give it a run through. Battery life seems very decent.

Happy to hear all that, mine is due Thursday. Same exact model and supplier. Sounds exactly like what I want
