Hi im quite new to Huawei phones,i recently bought a mate 8 NXT-C900B156 its on emui 4.0 there are no system updates whatsoever showing,can someone assist me on how to safely update to emui 5, firmware finder is saying all software results are not suitable for my phone

Mate 8 general Forum is where you'll find your answer but be careful. You may get a lot of battery drain. I updated to nougat and didn't like it at all because of battery drain. Downgraded to emui 4.1 and although it's a little better, im still getting battery drain so I'm downgrading again back emui 4.

I have already updated my Honor 6 to EMUI 3.0. But my Honor 6 don't look like father's Ascend P7 with EMUI 3.0. My phone saying I have still EMUI 2.3. When I try to find update so phone don't find nothing.
Can you help me with whis issue?

I don't know where I can download EMUI 3.0 manually. I downloaded file from official emui website (en.ui.vmall.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=70), but updater in my phone can't find this file like update.

Which device R U using now? L02-L12-L04? L02-L12 you can download the rom from official website(language:chinese version)
USE GOOGLE Translate : http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=76 (H60-L02)

I downloaded B109 for my H60-L04 and then was avaible B370.
I am using an FRD-L09 with EMUI 5.0. Current version is B385. I am experiencing serious battery drain issue. I hardly get 4hrs SOT. I didn't even got a chance to work it out on Android 6 as i got nougat update in the day i bought the phone.Any solution to this other than rollback?
If you want to try.....do a factory reset from recovery but if you are unsatisfied of battery life you could use rollback package (transition package) to downgrade, you will find theese files on honor site in firmware section, with instructions inside the zip files

Its best not to upgrade to emui5. I have done enough analysis and found many people regretting the upgrade than enjoying the new features. I'm yet to upgrade though I got the update out of the box.
Follow this link to rollback FRD-L09 to Marshmallow.

If none of the above worked, you stunt have nothing to do but to rollback

Use the guide provided by rommco , and clean the apps in lockscreen clean up and it won't satisfy , better to rollback to emui4.1 , it was good .

Now I am thinking to update it through the firmware finder app but I dont know which update to download for my phone the firmware version thing gets confusing for me as I dont know whether to download the same firmware version as shown in my about phone description or different if different kindly please tell me which one should I download to get my phone on EMUI:5.1 and android 7.0

Just look for BLN-L21 firmware ending with 360 or 361.

Just register your phone through HiCare and wait a couple of days. Push updater once in a while. Why use firmware finder ?

Found the 361 version once it starts downloading should I turn off the proxy settings?

I bought the Canadian Fido P20. Few days ago, the system updated to EMUI 9.0 automatically.
Since that, I couldn't download the themes from Huawei Themes App and also got some app problems.
Therefore I downgrade back to EMUI 8.1 through the Hisuit. Right now the build number is EML-L09 8.1.0.113(C792).
I'm not sure this is the right version for my phone. Now I still cannot download the themes from Huawei Themes APP, also the update push of EMUI 9.0 is no longer available.
Just drive me crazy about that, if I tried to use Hisuit to recover the cellpone, it doesn't support the device. I have no idea why Huawei provides this kind of poor support to Canadian.
Anyone knows how to get the right version back? Anything I can do about it?

I am using Honor View 10 in India and on EMUI 9.1 version currently. The bootloader is locked.
I want to downgrade from EMUI 9.1.0.307 version to EMUI 9.0.0.218 version. Is there anyway to do it without using HiSuite?
I upgraded to EMUI 9.0.0.228 version previously and lost the option to connect Betop G1 gaming controller in app assistant (present in top right corner). It was present till 9.0.0.218 version.
I hoped the option will be back in EMUI 9.1 but unfortunately it didn't. Now the gaming controller is completely useless for me.
I approached Honor India and they said that we can downgrade EMUI version only. This means I can go back to 9.0.0.228 version from HiSuite but cannot downgrade further.
Can you please help me in this? I am in desperate need of help.
