My device is almost 3-years old. Problem I am facing is that Whenever I connect to a wifi network, the download speed I get is significantly low but the upload speed is accurate. Let's say a I connect to a 30mbps wifi network, and perform a speedtest using speedtest app by ookla, it gives me download speed around 16-18mbps but in case of upload speed, it is 30mbps. The same wifi network speed has been tested by same app on different devices like redmi note 3, where both download and upload speed are same and its 30mbps. And this the actual 30mbps plan, both download and upload will be the same and it should be 30mbps.
Only my yuphoria is unable to fetch that kind of download speed particularly. I think my baseband is updated and using official LOS14.1. If you have any suggestion please share it.

I would want to know the maximum download speed on Wifi for this device. I have a TPLink WR740N router and I download with 2.2 MB/s on wireless. I've heard that some phone downloads with 7-8mb/s. I have a good internet and I would want to know if the phone limit my download speed or is the router.
Sorry for my bad english.
Hi guys,
I have wifi performance issues with my Nexus 5 in combination with all routers. When running ac at 433mbps I get 45-60mbps on my download speeds. My internet speed is 180/18 so the 433mbps wifi should atleast perform in the same manner. I have tested my wifi connection with a manual dos tool (can't remember the name) and it gave 240mbps download and 160mbps upload on my local network. For internet speedtesting im using the speedtest.net app. Any other apps are also giving me 45-60mbps download and 17,8 upload. My normal internet performance hits 180/17,8 without issues.
I'm using the Asus RT-AC68U. Any suggestions on this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Bandwidth test for wifi shows over 100Mbps
Bandwidth test for 4g LTE shows over 35Mbps
When clicking a link, wifi connection lags out for 10 seconds before loading
When clicking a link, 4g LTE connects immediately
Why does the wifi connection lag out for 10 seconds after clicking a link despite the fact that the DL speed for wifi is almost 3x 4g LTE???????????????????????
Any ideas?
Apparently it has to do with google's DNS servers and Lollipop. Installing the DNSet app fixes the issue.
I made a post some time ago complaining about my POCO X3 PRO wifi link speed in 5ghz being extremely slow (192mps the same as 2.4ghz wifi), and I was unable to fix it even installing TGZ of other region roms with the Xiaomi Flash Tool.
Today I received MIUI 12.5.3.0RJUMIXM and for my surprise after checking the wifi link speed it was 866mbps, so I thought it was finally fixed, but no, after I connected manually to my 2.4ghz and then reconnected the 5ghz the wifi link was again 192mbps and I was unable to connect again in 866mbps, so I reinstalled the OTA update, and again it was 866mbps.
I will be making a video showing the issue in case I didn't explained my selft correctly.
NOTE: My wifi is only 50mbps connection, then why do I care about this you may ask. A: I share with my phone large files and videos (between 1gb up to 12gb or more each file) so I use wifi file transfer pro, which is old, basic but works like a charm with this new 866mbps connection).
Sharing files with WIFI 192mbps = 15mb/s transfer with 18mb/s peaks
Sharing files with USB 2.0 480mbps = 36bm/s solid transfer
Sharing files with USB 3.0 = N/A connection fails no matter what cable or port do I use but this would be the ideal connection.
Sharing files with WIFI (fixed) 866mbps = 66mb/s with 73mb/s peaks
UPDATE: in this new update, the issue is fixed by rebooting too as long as I dont switch to a 2.4ghz network everything works fine.
Hi,
I use an Android Headunit in my car, I only download updates when connected to my house wifi, and downloading the map updates takes forever. I'd love to be able to download on my laptop or phone, and then transfer to the car using a memory card.
Anyone have any ideas if this could be done?
Thanks
IMO download speed doesn't depend on device where data should get stored, but on Internet speed.
Download speed refers to how many megabits (Mbps) per second it takes your TomTom server to download data to your device.
If speed score is fast — around 100-200 Mbps — this indicates that your slow download speed has nothing to do with the Internet. If your speed score is low — below 100 Mbps — this could be an indication that the Internet may be the problem.
Keep in mind that your speeds vary depending on the number of users that are on your network at a time.
Thanks but, Laptop uses Wi-Fi 6 AX, to connect to router, Android Headunit Wi-Fi 5 AC and further from router. Additionally I think headunit is only 2.4Ghz connection as opposed to 5Ghz on laptop.
IMO you are confusing bandwidth and Internet speed.
