Problem with Google apps - General Questions and Answers

It all started when I installed link2sd and i started moving stuff to my sd card, and i moved some google apps there that i thought wouldnt be important and they affected my phone pretty bad i tried taking them off my sd card and it still doesnt work. i dont recieve any notifications anymore i had to check everything manually. i cant go on the google playstore without it crashing the second i click on it or it not starting at all, meaning once i uninstall something i cant reinstall it i tried apk's and it said "application not installed" for every apk. and everytime i went on YouTube/Snapchat it said that i need google play services to access them but when i press "Ok" i can access it just fine. But now I've factory reset my phone and nothing works anymore i thought it would fix it. it didnt even install google play store but it installed google play services. i went to install the apk for google play store and it said the same thing application not installed. i cant do anything on my phone and its really annoying. what do i do? I'm using an LG K7. I just tried updating my phone and it said "Error!" with the android guy laying on its back it says there was a Verification problem. i really dont know whats wrong with this phone.

[Q] Can't download/install any market apps

Today I received my new shiny Asus Transformer, everything works great except the Market itself...
I can't even download any apps, paid or free. When I try to download any apps, it start like trying to download, but there is no progress on notification bar and it just keep like that.
I reset the tablet several times, also, cleaned the cache of the Market and Framework services, shutdown (restart) several times... nothing
Is this happening to anyone? I searched this forum and performed the steps above, but still nothing...
Please, help
Have you look into My App area, you will see, not installed list of apps. I get that as well...I am not sure if it's a bug or intended. Sometimes, it would stay at download forever. I got to go out and go back into the Market and redo it all over.

Yes, sometimes the apps I am trying to download don't even appear there and sometimes it does. When it says "Installing" sometimes, 1 hour can pass and still nothing... no progress on the notification bar.
In fact, I can't install anything from there, not even using the website version, https://market.android.com/
I had/have this same issue I think its a bug in the market app. I've just flashed the new firmware and it seems to work OK now.
My solution was to press back over and over until I exited the market fully, then start a new instance of it. Works on and off.
Ill let you know if the update solves this issue.

Thanks for the info.
I tried that, still no luck I need to know if this is a widespread issue or not.
I have the EVO and tried to download apps and install them now without any problems.
Also, I have discovered that I can't log in into GTalk either, but I can browse without any issues.

Sounds like an odd issue with your account. Try to check settings, accounts an sync .. and see if anything is amiss. If not, then try to create a new gmail account, and use that to login to market/gtalk. See if there is some confusion as to your phone account and your tablet. Do you have settings>Privacy ticked off for google to back up your apps and sync them? Try disabling if so.
Had same issue and went into settings and had to delete my gmail account and then add it again, worked fine after that!
Thanks for the replies.
1. The Backup and Restore settings are turned off.
2. I have created another Google account and removed the original, still the same problem.
3. The EVO is currently off just in case.
After doing some research, I've discovered that Gtalk have something to do with the Market, if Gtalk can sign in, then the market should works for downloads. If not, then there is a problem.
ok... wtf
After adding a new Google account while replacing the original one, the issue still happened.
Then, I decided for a million times, to make another Factory Reset with my original account again... now GTalk logon and the Market download/install apps
I will keep this thread in mind and report if anything weird happens again.
Android Market hates me. I didn't really want to have to create another gmail account but I have tried every other trick posted and still can't get apps to download.
I had this same problem with my Samsung Fascinate. 3G would download fine but I couldn't get WiFi to work until just recently when I updated the radio that came with the OTA Froyo update plus a new custom rom/kernel. I'm not sure which piece all of the sudden made things work but I was certainly happy. What's so frustrating is that I set up a Droid on the same home network with absolutely no problems from day one.
Amazon App store works fine but many of the apps I want aren't available there. Grrr.

This occurred to me after rooting the TF. I was able to correct it by going into applications and force stop and clearing data on both Market and both google framework services. Then try to restart market, if you don't get a error go back to applications and do it again. Once you get the error reboot, when you try market after the reboot it will ask you to accept terms again and then all is was right again with the world.
I have the same problem. How I can do a Factory Reset?
It was working ok but now it gives an error with the server. Eventually it will download the aplication after trying several times but will fail in the instalation. I have deleted and created again my account with no results.
Welcome to my problem. Another member told me the issue lies with our google accounts and how it syncs up with the market.
I have tried the other methods deleting cache / signing in and out etc. to no avail.
Only solution is to factory reset. Sad thing is it has happened to me 3x in the past 5 days.
I only hope for a solution to this soon.
3 times, that is scary.
Something has surprised me when I upgraded my phone to the new Galaxy S 2 from HTC HD 2 running an Android rom. When I introduced the google account it automaticaly pointed me all the aplications that I had installed in the old phone (free or paid) and give me an easy option to install all quickly. They were identified as my aplications, even they were not installed.
Is this funtion present here? It will remember what aplications I had installed in the transformer before or I will need to look for all of them again?
solution to download apps
press on apps on the home screen. then press on market. this will get you started click on sign in at top right of screen. it should automatically do a sign in with your google account. then go from there

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Y Google Play Issue

I've had a good hunt around both the xda forums, and the internet, hoping I could solve this problem without troubling anyone else, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Y running 2.3.6 and rooted. I was recently having some issues where I'd get an alert saying "Insufficient Internal Memory", I cleared just about every app out, and was still getting the error, so, in a last ditch effort, did a factory reset. The reset went fine, but for one problem.
The Google Marketplace app wouldn't update to Google Play, and I was unable to download or update apps. After trying all the usual solutions, such as clearing the cache and simply waiting, I got a friend to upload the .apk for their Play Store, which was the latest version and running without an issue. I then installed this .apk, rebooted, and found that the app had technically installed, but the icon was completely blank, the only evidence of it was in Settings>Apps. After three reboots it eventually showed an icon for the Play Store in my app drawer. However when tap it, it starts to open, freezes, quickly flashes an error message, and then closes. The error message isn't on screen long enough to read, but I think I can get the words "Sorry!" and "Procedure".
I'm at a loss as to what to do now. Anyone out there who knows the ins and outs of Android better than me, have any idea?
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas?
What do u really need update to Google play from market?
I always uninstall the update of market to play,. Market is better...
So let mobile on its own upload the martket, dont do manually if u need play...
Then it may be solved,i think...

Fix for: "Force OTA" thread..

Hi everyone...
I've done the most stupid thing in my entire life with Android - I've trusted OP of this thread (the Force OTA how-to).
I've struggled with getting all push notifications and tokens for almost all Google service.
There's only one left, that doesn't work: android device manager doesn't see my device.
I know that other people had problems with it also, I didn't get it back to work with any instruction available.
I don't want to factory reset...
Is there any way I can re-add my device to Google Play (it's listed and I can push apps to device) and Android Device Manager?
ATM it just says I don't have any...
BTW: The other thread should be removed as this stupid method only causes problems!
Unfortunately it's just closed.
the fix should be very easy: remove and re-add your google account from settings->account->google
you won't loose anything
I wouldn't ask if it would be so easy.
I've tried that, i've tried giving permissions to manager once again, i've trying re-caching the google play store.
The only thing that changed was that my phone now shows up in google-play list (as my device).

What I said before IS the fix, what does not work yet? did you tried a restart of the phone?
I've tried that already two days ago.
I have push notifications, I have working PlayStore, I can see device on the device-list and 'last usage' data is updating everyday.
What I don't see is my device in "android device manager" (website to track phone & ring/clear it).

then try to check on "google settings" app on your phone if device management is enabled (location + wipe)..or maybe it needs some time to appear on the website again
It is set, i've searched for all possible options.
It's strange as it need so much time to appear... After first run it showed up seconds later on my account.

[Completed] Phone reboots when trying to install apps

LG G2
CyanogenMod 11 KitKat 4.4
Paranoid Android Kitkat 4.4
Whenever trying to install ANY app, phone reboots. Can be from Play Store, or just an apk from sd card - phone always reboots. The reboot is not full - just a few seconds boot animation and back to lock screen.
Tried basically everything - multiple times installed CM, PA, formated data, system, boot, firmware partitions, wiped everything in multiple combinations. Nothing helps. Everything else works perfectly if I disable Play Store so it won't perform auto updates and reboot my phone.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this?

I would suggest you post in the LG G2 Forum Section. Specifically in G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
If I have read your post correctly. looks like you had an issue with apps forcing reboot when installed in CM originally. You tried the solution suggested in your 2nd link and the issue persisted after multiple attempts including another ROM.
All that points to the issue remaining in your phone in spite of your attempts to clear it. I had a similar issue with apps FC'ing and finally had to odin to stock to eliminate it.
The last statement about everything working OK if you disable play store points to the possibility that the issue may not be local machine but rather a Play Store account issue. Possibly try setting up another Play Store account to eliminate that possibility.
If you can narrow it down to one of those possibilities but still can not resolve, it would at least indicate what thread to look to/post to to get more assistance.
Hope that helps.

I disable play store so it won't do any updates. Even with disabled Play Store if I try to install an app from sd card phone still reboots. Everything else in your post is correct.
I've tried posting in LG G2 forum, but to no avail.
Looks like I'm gonna need to use Odin. Thanks guys!

Google Playstore stuck in download until I restart phone (Huawei P10)

Hey guys, I have been having a problem with my google play store for quite some time now. I can't remember exactly when this problem started occurring, but for some reason whenever I wan't to DOWNLOAD or UPDATE my existing apps on my phone (Huawei P10), it would just get stuck at the "Downloading" status without even displaying any file size of the app/app update. This basically prevents me from downloading any app from the app store, or even updating my apps as well.
I have tried deleting cache and data from the google play store and the services as well, but still it did not solve the problem.
The only way I can work around this issue is to restart my phone, download/update my apps and I am good to go, for a while. At some point in time when I wan't to check back on new apps to download or update, I end up getting the same issue AGAIN and I don't know why this happens.
Does anyone here have the same problem as me? Or is it because of some app I installed a long time ago... I really have no idea why something like this would happen. I don't want to always restart my phone only to end up having the same problem again after awhile...
I thought about factory resetting my phone but the hassle of having to return everything to what it was is just too troublesome for me...
I hope someone has a solution for this, I can't seem to find any by searching google that works for me...
Thank you!
