If you follow all the steps properly then it just takes 5-10 minutes to install without any boot loop problems.
How to Install Twrp In Redmi Note 5 Pro :
Steps :
First, enable developer mode by clicking on Build number.
Then go to developer mode and enable USB debugging.
Once that is done then download mi flash tool and connect your phone to your pc.
Now download twrp file from here
Now open the fastboot folder which is stored on twrp img file.
Now hold down the shift button and click in an empty area to open the command prompt.
In the command prompt write “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” followed by “fastboot reboot”
Now Twrp is successfully installed on your phone.
We hope twrp is successfully installed on your phone. But if you find any problem on your phone then you can install stock firmware on your phone. We also recommend you to take a complete backup of your phone before installing twrp. Thanks for reading if you face any problem then leave a comment.

Infinix all in One Support Root twrp Firmware [all Model]

Team Win Recovery Project For infinix-
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images.
Team Win Recovery Project or twrp for Infinix, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
twrp Recovery, Root method and Firmware is available for all infinix Model including hot, Note, S and Zero series.

I can't install it :crying: I found out that the Recovery Mode of Hot S3 is unaccessible and the bootloader is locked even though I've already unlocked it on Settings>Developers Option. Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, and nothing happens, just an error saying that i need a code/password something like that, I already forgot what its says exactly.
adb devices - the pc found my device
adb reboot bootloader -i dont know if it boots, i only see the Infinix Logo
fastboot devices - pc still found my device
fastboot oem unlock - and the error shows up :crying:
tried also
adb reboot recovery
and I just saw a "No Command" then reboot instantly in a blink of an eye
Is there a command in ADB to unlock it other than the "fastboot oem unlock" command?

May be, we'll have to wait until someone succeeds in unlocking bootloader.
Can't find a scatter file for this. Can anyone help?
EDIT: So apparently no one uploaded the scatter file separately. Had to download entire stock ROM to get it.
Hi, I tried a different guide and failed miserably and am stuck on bootloop atm. anyone help me out?
I posted a separate thread yesterday

got infinix note 4 x572 running oreo 8.1, flashed your provided image, and now when i press power+vol.down it shows a black screen with "factory mode" written in top in yellow, and nothing else, the buttons are not working! i can't seem to get into twrp recovery mode !
infinix zero 4 bricked
why is my infinix zero 4 (based on android 6.0) bricked after flashing your twrp by adb commands you provided in this page? It is always rebooted when displaying the infinix word.

Need TWRP For Smart 2 Pro
Recently I bought Infinix Smart 2 Pro. Need help porting TWRP. Your list has missing my device. Update please. Thanks, It will be a great help.
Can you make one for smart 2 pro , please ?
This link and the twrp is inappropriate for infinix note 4
I have tried your link as i am using infinx note 4 and the i tried both methods fasboot and the sp flash tool too. But neither any one of them worked i have successfully unlocked the boot loader and i am running on android 7.0 as it works smoother than its oreo version. I think the link you have provided is inappropriate for note 4 device and the phone boots only on stock recovery and no signs of custom recovery(twrp) so try to make a video or explain us by giving a working twrp file which will 100℅ work on infinix note 4 . because of the stock i can't get access to root nor for custom rom....:crying:
twrp untuk infinix smart 2 oreo
Tolong gan tambahin/rilis twrp untuk di android infinix smart 2 nya, saya tunggu ya semoga cepet di update nya.
Terima kasih.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 (4GB/64GB) Bricked After Installing OTA

I have just bought Redmi 6 a few hours back and didn't connected my MI account to device. I Installed OTA update and after that my device is bricked on boot it shows "System Is Destroyed" and I cannot flash an image as boot-loader is not unlocked. I have an MI account but unable to request as the MI Unlock tools says your account is not bound to this device. Is there anyway I can flash latest rom without unlocking the BootLoader? Or I can bind my device to my MI account as I cannot turn on my phone.

yes, you can, but this 2 ways didn't help me, maybe you will be luckier.
1. download official rom for recovery install ( i don't know rules about link on other resources, so i will leave the link in pm.
2. download last miflash Pro (pm also)
3. download and install drivers (pm)
4. install and start miflash pro on your pc
5. enter recovery mode on your phone - pwr+volume up, next choose 'connect with mi assistant', then connect to your pc
6. choose Home in mi flash, wait app to recognise the phone, the click flash in recovery - some window will appear, if you see your imei in this windows, then you can flash. 3 dots, choose rom. if checking it is ok - click flash. Wait for 10-15 minutes
the second way is to enter fastboot mode, download and open miflash, download rom for fastboot, download drivers and save it in blank folder with rom. Then open miflash, connect your phone to pc choose this folder, and start to flash
neither way helped me, in 1 case miflash pro isn't flashing the rom, in second case miflash can't find flash_all.bat file and refuses to flash

Locked bootloader and stuck in recovery mode.

Hi all,
TL;DR
CC9 Pro (bought in China) stuck in MI Recovery 3.0 and reboot loops back to the recovery screen. Device is locked with the global rom. There is red text on the recovery screen which reads "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device." Does not matter which Mi account I use with Mi Unlock tool, it always gives an error. Cannot flash anything with the official flash tool either because the phone is locked.
Background of phone:
I was given a Xiaomi CC9 Pro Premium edition phone as a gift on 9th April 2020, which was bought in China (the person not realising it would come with Chinese apps and not work with google properly). I have spent the last 2 weeks working out how to unlock the phone and flash it with a global rom (Mi Note 10 Pro global stable rom), with eventual success. I tried installing apps and when it came to my bank app, it told me I had a rooted phone (it was never rooted) and that it would be risky to use the phone in that state.
What went wrong:
I attempted to relock the bootloader using adb tools in command prompt "fastboot oem lock". This then sent the phone into recovery mode with red text down the bottom stating "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device".
Current problem:
The phone is stuck in a recovery boot loop and I am unable to flash anything or erase any data to the phone because it is locked now. When I try to use the Mi Unlock tool I receive an error message stating a problem I cannot fix because the phone cannot boot into the system.
"Please add your account in MIUI Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status."
I originally unlocked the phone using my first Mi account I created, however when I tried to login to that account on the phone after unlocking it wouldn't work. I then proceeded to make a second Mi account which is the account currently linked on the device.
I am unable to check or change the MI ID on the phone. When the phone boots, it goes into recovery stating "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device." There are 3 options: reboot, wipe data and connect with MIAssistant. Reboot loops back to the same screen. Wipe data does not help. Connect with MiAssistant does not help either as I don't think my device is supported, it's too new.
The weirdest part about this is when I check on Mi Cloud, both the new and old account are linked to the device...
Help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have the same problem with my Mi CC9 and I can go to fastboot, how to solve it?
Did you try MiFlash ? https://www.xiaomiflash.com/ and download original ROM for you phone, same version what was before bootloader unlock
How to Flash Fastboot Firmware with Miflash Tool
This is a program bringing system alterations. So before moving to the process make a backup and try saving all the existing data. And then, proceed with high attention.
Step 1: Download the correct Fastboot ROM on the Windows PC by double-checking the compatibility. Then extract and get the workable extensions on the PC
Step 2: Download Xiaomi Flash Tool Free on the PC and unzip
Step 3: Move to the installation through the exe file from the folder
Step 4: Continue to “Browse” by entering the tool interface
Step 5: Then attach the ROM file
Step 6: Switch Xiaomi device into the Fastboot mode. So turn off the device and simply take a long press and hold the keys of Volume Down and Power keys
Step 7: Then connect the device to the PC with a proper USB cable which is in the Fastboot mode
Step 8: Now you can enter the tool interface and check whether the device is connected
Step 9: Then select the most suitable flashing option from all three “Flash all”, “Flash all except storage” and “Flash all except data and storage”
Step 10: Hit flash from the top of the window and wait for several minutes
Step 11: Once the process is done you can reboot and finalize the process successfully.

[GUIDE] Rooting the UMIDIGI S5 Pro | Magisk

EDIT: I attached a zip with AIDA64's reports for this phone. One report has Magisk hidden from AIDA64, the other doesn't.
This mostly a copy of _cab13_'s Rooting the UMI F2 post as the same instructions for rooting that phone are how I rooted the S5 Pro. So please give _cab13_ thanks here if this helped you root your phone. I'll take a thanks for removing the orange state warning if I helped you with that
Please be patient when posting questions, I will get back to you as quickly as I can. I just have many responsibilities which take up a great deal of my time.
Rooting the S5 Pro
Disclaimers
This is important, please read thoughtfully.
whatever you do, NEVER EVER use SP Flash Tool in "Format All+Download" mode. This will wipe your IMEI['s]s and some other bad stuff will happen like loss of fingerprint sensor. This cannot be reversed by us.
Once bootloader is unlocked, warranty is considered void. By following this guide, you consent to that happening. Safety net CTS will not pass anymore unless you flash Magisk which hides the unlocked bootloader.
Never re-lock your bootloader while running anything unofficial as the phone will not boot until you unlock again.
And, once again, a lot of bad things can happen like boot loops, if that happens to you, don't freak out! Simply re-flash the stock ROM, redoing the rooting process from the start. It might be time consuming, but that's your safest bet!
More important even, have fun rooting, it's before all a hobby!

Unlocking Bootloader
ATTENTION!! After unlocking the bootloader, all user data in the phone's memory will be lost, so do not forget to throw all the most important things on your computer or flash drive!
1) Activate "Developer options" through Settings > About Phone > Tap Build Number multiple times.
2) Open "Developer options" in Settings > System > Tap Advanced.
Enable "OEM Unlocking" and enter your password to confirm. Enable "USB Debugging" as well.
3) On Windows, download and install Minimal ADB and Fastboot by shimp208
On Linux, use your package manager to install android-tools-adb and android-tools-fastboot
4) Open command prompt (Win + R > type cmd) or a terminal on linux.
5) Plug your phone, accept the prompt about adb and the PC signature.
6) Type adb reboot bootloader to reboot in fastboot mode. Unplug your cable from your phone
and replug it after fastboot is printed at the bottom of the screen.
THESE NEXT TWO STEPS WILL COMPLETELY WIPE YOUR DATA
7) Unlock the bootloader using fastboot flashing unlock and pressing Vol+
8) Unlock the secure partitions using fastboot flashing unlock_critical and pressing Vol+
9) Restart using fastboot reboot
You will now always see "Orange State" at boot; this is completely fine and will only delay your boot by 5 seconds.
Rooting using Magisk patched boot.img
This is "experimental" and is probably overkill, but everyone managed to install Magisk with it.
1) Clean install UMIDIGI_S5Pro_20200702.V3.02 (or the European one) with SPFT by selecting the scatter file, pressing download an rebooting the phone
(Make sure it is in "Download Mode" and not "Format + Download")
2) Patch boot.img by copying it to your device, using Magisk Manager to patch it, and get back the magisk_patched.img in the Download folder back to your PC.
3) Start ADB while booted; run adb reboot bootloader. Alternative is to reboot to recovery and selecting "reboot to bootloader"
4) unlock if not already done with fastboot flashing unlock followed by fastboot flashing unlock_critical
5) In the following code, the vbmeta.img and the recovery.img are the stock files from the ROM you downloaded and extracted.
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash boot magisk_patched.img
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot reboot
When rebooting, install Magisk Manager. It will prompt to finalize the installation, you can do so.
Congratulations ! You are now a proud Magisk user ! All credits goes to @topjohnwu he's the real MVP here.
Returning to stock / Resolving issues
The best way to resolve any issue is to return to stock. Here is the method.
1) Download latest stock ROM on UMIDIGI's forums
2) Download SP Flash Tool if you don't have it yet (Windows only)
3) Extract stock ROM in SP Flash Tool directory. Refer to Flash Tool guide if needed.
4) Open SP Flash Tool, Download Tab, "Choose" in Scatter-loading file, select the scatter file in the stock ROM directory.
5) If you want to keep your data, untick "userdata" partition. MAKE SURE FORMAT IS NOT SELECTED!
6) Press Download and connect your device via USB. Reboot the phone or turn it off and everything will be flashed.
7) If you want a full stock experience, I recommend relocking the bootloader so that SafetyNet will pass. Get into fastboot mode by using adb reboot bootloader and use fastboot flashing lock_critical followed by fastboot flashing lock. This will wipe your data once more.
You should be good to go.
ONE LAST THING
Get rid of your orange state warning.
Download the attached zip file and extract.
Put your phone into fastboot and:
Code:
fastboot erase lk
fastboot erase lk2
fastboot flash lk lk_patched.img
fastboot flash lk2 lk_patched.img
fastboot reboot
No more orange state warning! Reflash the stock lk before unrooting, though.
ATTACHED LK FILE IS FOR UMIDIGI S5 Pro ONLY.
Thank you for re-posting this as an option to root the S5. I did get stuck on flashing the recovery. I have tried a few times and every time it just flashes orange , restarts and loads normally. I have verified root.
i have used the recovery found here

I have no success installing TWRP. Do you know if twrp has a recovery that will work?

Got some good news : I bought a S5 Pro as well
And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT !

No luck for me finding a custom recovery (twrp or anything else.)
If you have any exp with them, see if you can make the F2's (found in the F2 root thread) work. It SHOULD only need a minumum of tweaking, just to account for the (afaik) slight soc differences. i'm not gonna hold my breath. there seems to be a void when it comes to enthusiasm for this phone. by my serial no, i have the 4832nd phone manufactured. compared to serials ranging from 22000- 189000 for my other umis (f1play, s3pro, f2, power3)
I think I'll try making TWRP soon for it.
The F2 TWRP would not be usable this easily, it's easier to start fresh.
If anyone wants to try, download the sources for the F2 TWRP on my GitHub, then you need to extract the stock kernel and replace the F2's with the S5pro's
root working thanx

hello folks,
This message is not about rooting s5 but rather about downgrading. I posted on the umidigi forum but have not received an answer. So the problem is the new OTA update that they pushed out yesterday. After update I lost 4G connectivity and i am unable to restore it. I want to roll back to the previous update. They have the roms available on the forum and I downloaded one but what I am not sure is can I use SP flash tool to just download the older ROM version on top of the new one?
I see lots of manuals on how to update but how do I safely downgrade?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do a "download only" flash of the "super", " vbmeta_system", and "vbmeta_vendor" partitions only (uncheck all other partitions) from the previous ROM. That should do it.

What precisely stuck you?
There is a new update firmware please make a rooting tutorial on youtube.,
Somebody made a custom TWRP and posted it on here. So if that'll help anyone out and get them to make a tutorial video, that be great. 'Cause I'm reading this over and over again, and I think I can do it, but I'm being very hesitant about it. And it's getting me all frustrated. I had it on "Flash Mode". And when I continued typing it out, it didn't go through and that had me on a raging panic attack. Luckily, it didn't mess up. But now I'm more hesitant. Please make a quick tutorial, doesn't even have to be perfect...

I am able to get FastBoot Mode on my screen (through step 6). I plug the phone back in per directions & I hear the Windows device connected chime.
I type: fastboot flashing unlock in the same cmd window
and I get "<waiting for any device>" in the cmd window and it hangs.
Every few seconds I hear the Windows device disconnected noise, but no device connect chime. This lasts indefinitely.
I repeated step 7 several times with variations with the Vol+ button: pressing first, holding down while pressing enter in cmd window, pushing afterward, holding down afterward, etc. Same results as described above.
Any help available? Should I not unplug my phone from the PC? The F2 directions did not require that.
thanks!

Redmi Note 11 bootloop after custom ROM install

Hi, this is my first post in XDA, so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section.
I recently got a Redmi Note 11 and today I was going to install KomodoOS in it. I did as follows:
First thing I did was to unlock the bootloader, which seems to have worked fine (I can see the open lock icon alongside the Mi logo when it powers on).
I then flashed TWRP (from here https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-redmi-note-11/). When I first tried the command fastboot flash recovery_a twrp.img, I got an error telling me that recovery_a_a doesn't exist, same for recovery_b (which gave me error that partition recovery_b_a didn't exist). I found on Google I could boot into twrp (fastboot boot twrp.img) and then flash twrp itself (Advanced->Flash recovery), which I did and got no error messages. I booted up the system just normal, rebooted into recovery by issuing adb reboot recovery and it got me back into TWRP. So it seems it was installed successfully.
Lastly, while the phone was on TWRP I copied the rom file into the root directory with adb push komodo-version.zip komodo.zip, clicked on Install, selected komodo.zip then confirmed the installation. It took a few minutes (file is 1.3GB) and it completed with a few errors, but at the top there was the message Install successful.
Then I wiped Dalvik and rebooted the system, but now I'm stuck at a bootloop where it goes to the "No command" screen and reboots. I tried holding volume up+power and volume up while reconnecting the USB but to no avail, can't seem to get out of the loop. Also tried spamming adb devices and fastboot devices on pc but can't connect to the phone.
I'm now a bit desperate, since there's (surprisingly?) not much about this phone out there, and I don't know anything that could be done. Is there still hope?

Draining battery and directly going into fastboot as soon as plugging in works or not?
.
dont trust getdroidtip , search rom on xda instead
In Shaomi "No Command" error means system partition has been destroyed. You most likely need to Reflash MIUI using >Mi Flash Tool<.
So your issue is that you cant boot into TWRP? Also, have you tried Power + Vol(-) to get into Fastboot mode. You can also try PC softwares like >Reiboot-For-Android.exe< to boot to recovery or bootloader.
>If you have TWRP no need to use ADB push, just use USB OTG to flash ZIP<
