Anyone with Xperia XA2 or XA2 Ultra and brave enough to help the community?
It may feel that it's to early, but it's better to have support than not, and You don;t know when You will need Flashtool to flash older firmware or part of it (system or kernel).
So why not create .fsc now?
What is needed? Xperia Companion, Simple USB Logger, Flashmode drivers, microUSB<->USB cable and, ofc, Xperia XA2 or XA2 Ultra (I'm missing this one ).
Unfortunately as it means that device needs to be updated or (better I think) "repaired", any data from its memory may be removed.
You can read about it here: http://www.flashtool.net/fsccreate.php
Or seen how it's done here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsauwNXpR-Q
Logger can be downloaded from here: http://www.incentivespro.com/usb-logger.html
I'm sure community will be thankful to anybody who at least will try to do it. I am

Great news mate! I'm looking forward to get an H4233.
Fsc is ready but I need to release a new version of flashtool because some new commands are used in the communication protocol. I will release after eclipse 4.7.3 is out to update the eclipse runtime too

Thanks. Will be waiting.
Do You know if L2 use the new protocol or not? Seems to be the same as with L1, meaning old, older even than XZ1 uses...

You could try relocking with Flashtool. It won't restore DRM keys, but should relock the bootloader. And that is enough for Xperia Companion to work.
Still, XA2's firmware looks a lot different than older devices, so as Androxyde wrotr, there is a need for an update of Flashtool.
Still if You create a log it may ve helpfull not only with this app, ut with Newflasher/Xflasher for 2018 Xperias as well.

as everyone knows and has seen, there are CWM's for locked bootloaders available for Xperia J, Tipo and Miro, yet there isn't any for Xperia E... i have no idea if its something easy or hard to do as i am not a developer.. but would it be possible for anyone that has some knowledge to at least try to make it happen? i would be VERY grateful and im sure pretty much every other E owner would be grateful too.

Hi!
I have already made contact with developers who made cwm for xperia j etc.
We have tried and failed becuase the exploit used to start cwm is patched!
Since Then... Nothing!
Don't think we will get one!

You see we have been working on the Xperia E SS, I couldn't find any FTF with ICS so we even tried the oldest FTF I Could Find, since then I have got no response from developer!

the FTF is not exactly made for the single sim version, its for the dual, however it works perfectly on single sim, the build number is 11.1.A.0.68

however for daily use, i would recomend XBoost by @Xmoose, link to it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559312
since jelly bean on xperia e patched the exploits used for cwm on locked bootloader, hopefully something would work on ICS

Hi!
I have PM the developer about it, so il'l keep you posted on the news and outcomes!
Hello everyone! Seems we're going to get root soon on locked bootloader in lollipop, so we can backup the TA partition before unlocking. The question is, can we downgrade from MM to LP without unlocking the bootloader?
You know how google, do you? You can, download the Firmware and flash it via Flashtool.

Yes, I did google. Saw a couple of post about the Z5P, but I'm comming from motorola and they are a little bit special when it comes to downgrade, because of the bootloader. So I want to be sure because I have almost zero exprecience with sony.
Anyway, no need to be rude. Thanks!
You can downgrade with no problems bootloader locked or not as the above poster said flashtool and xperifirm is your friend. I don't have access to links atm

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me. When I bought my Z5 from Vodafone UK, it was running Lollipop 5.1.1 and ran all the apps I wanted flawlessly. Since the update to Marshmallow, ACR and NetVu ObserVer now do not, the developer of ACR cannot work around this so I need to back date the firmware. I have downloaded XperiFirm and Flashtool but can only find 32.0.A.6.200 for EE. I would have preferred the stock Vodafone firmware, but will the EE one do?
any firmware will do as long as those apps work. some branded firmwares have differnt splash screens. thats pretty much the only difference
Thanks for your reply, I'm not bothered about any splash screen but something I noticed is a file named simlock. As EE lock their phones to their network only I take it this file needs omitting?
Regards, John.
Hi,
I just got the new Xperia Z5 from Vodafone. but it has android 5.1.1, I tried using the PC and OTA but still can't find the 6.0 for my device.
Any idea what could be wrong? or is its not released for this one yet.

did you unlock your bootloader ?
No i haven't done any such thing.
Do you have xperia companion on ur pc? If not download and try.

I tried but still not working , probably had to wait until vodafone releases the update with their bloatware.
any other way to update?
Using Xperifirm and flashtool you can download and install an official MM firmware. The process is quite simple and there are many guides on how to do it. Make sure to backup your data in pcc before update.

Thanks buddy!, appreciate it! :fingers-crossed::good:
But as I said, this firmware from XPERIASITE.PL.. I already flashed it and it caused my device in bootloop. That's why I said dont provide XPERIASITE.PL firmwares. If you have firmware files that BEFORE packing to FTF I think I can pack it correctly because bootloop may be due to incorrect creating of FTF.

I haven't rooted my device and it's still on original condition, locked BL. Just wanted to go previous stock rom. I want system.sin file of firmware of 50.1.A.11.40 Hong Kong firmware. I don't want to root or unlock BL. :victory:
You can extract sin files from FTF using sin extractor or flashtool.
I think you can't back to previous version when the BL is locked, u have security problem. That file work fine with flashtool or emma. Try to use xperia compagnon for repair your phone with New security patch.
Ps : if you have informations of relock BL for this série inform me plz !
