Notification Settings Missing/Disappeared - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi. I've had this happen to me now on 2 Seperate occasions (Notification Settings Missing/Disappeared). The first was right after a factory reset, which I had to do a few times till it came back. The next time was today. In the notification area of the settings, if you go to the advanced area, I no line have the option or choice to SHOW CONTENT ON LOCK SCREEN.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to get it back or even why it's gone. I've restarted many times now, even in days mode. I've cleared the cache (in Boot Rom).
Anyone else have this issue or is what's going on here?
Attaching screen shot of what I'm taking about.

Phone has no connection to data or SMS.

Issue 1. my phone shuts off and vibrates every couple of seconds.
Issue 2. Unless I turn on "Disable hardware overlays" my screen flickers
Issue 3. (more recently) I can't sent or receive text, on rare occasions i can get text in and out though.
Issue 4. I also cant send or receive calls. (side issue is I have no sound unless on bluetooth)
What I see on the screen: The ATT text in the status bar is usually not there and neither is the power saving icon is missing too.
What I have done: *#*#4636#*#* I toggled everything and it seems to work for a second but I'm not sure what its supposed to look like.
(currently have the ATT text back annnnd now its gone)
I have also backed up with CWM and did a factory reset with CWM multiple times in the passed few days.
(ATT text came and went again)
If you have any questions please reply. if you can solve or have any tips please reply too. Thanks!

Screen time out not working

has anyone run across this issue when you set a specific time out, the screen dims after the specified time but does not lock, it stays on?
my phone was working just fine, stock not rooted, took the latest update and after that i've been having nothing but weird issues, the other day the notification area at the top was not working, i had to basically check every app, messages etc manually to see updates, had to factory reset the damn thing, now this screen issue, the phones is only 1 month old.
any input?
thanks
I'm having very weird issues with screen lock. I'm be on the phone and the device will randomly lock and not let me unlock it without restarting the phone.
The new update is when it all started. I don't want to do a factory reset, but it's looking like I might have to?

Inactive screen lock switch trouble

I'm very surprised that no one else mentioned this problem. As to me, it's a greatest bug of this phone.
Look at the Developer options - Screen lock.
It becomes gray after a couple days of use.
I tried factory reset, changed region and firmware several times, but the result is the same - two or three days, and this switch becomes unreacheable again.
Maybe someone knows how to make it working again?
As in, even after a full reset you can't disable screen lock? or you're resetting, and then after using your phone for a couple days you notice you can't turn it off?
After resetting screen lock is active, and becomes inactive after a couple of days of using.
And I can't find out what app or setting causes this trouble.
Once I had only three apps installed and noticed the same grayed item after a couple of days.
Hext time I checked screen lock just after installing these 3 apps - it was active, so they were not responsible for this.
But it became inactive after installing all the rest apps.

PLEASE HELP!! - missing "full screen gestures" option in settings menu

I have a problem that is driving me crazy. I no longer have an option for removing my navigation bar at the bottom of the screen on my Note 9 running Android Pie (OS 9.0). In other words, the option to turn on Full Screen Gestures is GONE from settings. Also when pulling down the notification screen, the option for Navigation Bar is grayed out (quick settings icon) and doesn't do anything anymore. I had this coincidentally happen automatically on both my Note 8 and Note 9 when I woke up this morning. I have since then rebooted several times, cleared cache in recovery, booted into Safe Mode and nothing has helped. I got so desperate that I did a Factory Data Reset on the Note 8 and it did fix it, but I don't want to reset the N9 since it is a true hassle getting everything (incld settings & home screens) back to the way they were.
PLEASE HELP. see screenshots.
Thanks in advance.
Go to Settings - System - System navigation. There should be some option for you.

HERE'S THE ANSWER after so many failed attempts:
First of all I can see that you have a little person's shape at the right of your navigation bar, that's an accessibility service that allows you to select something from your screen for it to be read out by your phone. I have no idea why after an update that thing would activate by itself as if we all had visibility problems (great reasoning samsung). OK TO THE POINT NOW. Go to Settings>Accessibility>Installed services, and turn off the "Select to Speak" option, after this you'll see that your navigation bar options are back again.
If you want to help a bit further with this, It would be nice if you or someone reading this thread can address this to samsung, so they can solve this nonsense issue for everybody. Cheers!
That was it. I don't know either how this option turned itself on, but I thank you a great deal for explaining how to turn it OFF!!
Thanks so much for your help.

Is my phone on the way out??

Hi All,
I've had the phone about 8 months, UK model.
About 2 months ago, when scrolling in Wikipedia pages on Chrome browser, the display would alternate between normal and blue light (eye comfort). It still does occasionally.
From a few weeks ago, the keyboard sometimes take about 10s to appear.
A few days ago when on voice call from the phone other person can't hear me but I can them while voice call on Whatsapp is fine both ways. Restarting phone seems to solved it for now.
Then yesterday while trying to access settings from either the home screen or app drawer, it fails but you can see its attempting to as you see the settings screen momentarily then a message comes up saying settings failed to start several times and whether to restore by clearing history. Doing that doesn't work. The only way that I can is to touch and hold the settings icon till the search option comes up and then type the particular setting I want.
Before I do anything to fix this, are these symptoms an indication the phone is on the way to a complete breakdown? Would it be a software problem and I suppose the 1st step to fix is factory reset.
Has anyone experience this on their phone?

Unfortunately it's the Oppo software that causes these issues... We hope we can unlock the bootloader soon and flash custom roms to remedy these problems since Oppo are just incompetent.
Chrome colour shift is fixed by typing into your chrome address bar and type: "chrome://flags" then search "Dynamic Color Gamut" and set it to disabled (or it was enabled, I forget since I didn't have the issue myself)
Oppo uses the wrong microphone on third party apps like whatsapp, signal, instagram etc. and we have to wait for an update to fix that. (Issue has been posted here before)
The rest of the issues you described sound like some software instability caused by the Android 11 update. You should save your data and do a factory reset.
If the issues persist after the reset and you didn't install any dodgy apps or modified the software using adb then consider sending the phone in for repair.
OK thanks for replies. So factory reset then...
