Magisk Based Grip Rejection Removal/Touch Sensitivity Module - Essential Phone Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have created a Magisk based Grip Rejection Removal/Touch Sensitivity port for our PH-1 Phones.
What it is: Whelp...this is pretty dumb right? They give the setting to enable/disable grip rejection and the ability to set the touch sensitivity for our devices????? Then, then, THEN...... it resets on reboot. Im not going to go and set it every single time i reboot.....why on earth, would they do that......
Anyways, enough ranting.... The edges of the phone (the "grip") are disabled to prevent erroneous touches. This will disable this and use the edges of the phone (great for cases). The touch screen sensitivity is obvious.....
Prerequisites:
Oreo 8.1 Final (LOS has this implemented already)
Magisk 15.0 or newer (Uses 1500 template)
What it does:
It replaces hbtp_grip.so in vendor/bin : modified logic to always disable grip
add post-fs-data command hbtp_daemon tool sendCommand enableGripRejection 0
add resetprop command sys.grip.status=off
add resetprop command sys.touch.smoothness=13 (========3 Important, if you dont want it cranked, before you install the magisk mod, open the zip, browse to common/system.prop, open the file and change the number between 1 - 13 (stock is 5)
These settings are located in developer options/input (the grip rejection toggle will stay on, but is disabled anyways)
The usual disclaimer: This is a free-for-all zip, meaning i dont care if you modify it, pass it off to other groups, help anybody else, etc. I am not responsible if you get your phone messed up, it works for me, and for others. I will help as much as i can. Its a work in process, hopefully, it will make life easier for everybody.

Changelog:
V1: Initial Release
V2: Set sensitivity to 9, thats seems to be my preferred value.

Nice...I don't know what the deal is with both Rejection and sRGB toggle auto resetting in Dev Settings.

OP, and 2nd post updated

Great stuff, thanks for the hard work! Kinda weird that they don't have it stick after a reboot by default.

Right?? Have that there " solve your problems " then it doesn't stick = lame

This is weird. Both of my settings stick after a reboot. I wonder what is different about me??

[CUSTOM] JPA/JPB Hybrid firmware - fixes proximity sensor issue

I was making this for myself, but felt I'd share it with all of you if you'd like.
Rom posted up here:
http://www.multiupload.com/7VT50JH17I
Link 2 : http://www.mediafire.com/?tgjikgkgf5oawzh (just added this link also to help others hope OP doesn't mind- haree)
The battery life appears to be the same as the JPA firmware, but with the device driver fixes of JPB.
Here are the changes:
Started with stock JPA firmware
Using JPB kernel:
- So far this seems to fix the proximity sensor issue when hanging up calls.
Removed:
- Social networking stuff (SNS apps)
- Samsung social networking widget
- Samsung Apps (meh... what does it really offer?)
Added:
- SuperUser (the device is rooted)
- Busybox (extra tools when using the command line)
- Adfree (stop those damn ads)
- Retroclock widget (it's cool!)
- ConnectBot (ssh, telnet, etc)
- Newest Maps, Gmail, Market (Saves space off your data partition)
- mount_ro.sh and mount_rw.sh: Makes modifying /system MUCH easier
- run "sh /system/bin/mount_rw.sh" to mount read-write
- run "sh /system/bin/mount_ro.sh" to mount as read-only again
I'm not including any boot.bin or Sbl.bin. No risk of permanently bricking your device.
Let me be the first to say: I'd like to say you upload this rom If it's got the battery life of JPA and some of the fixes of JPB, this wil probably be the best rom around so far.
Second thing: Do you mind making a short tutorial on how you managed to do this? Or where you find some tips/tutorials that helped you? I'm interested in cooking roms myself you see ..
Thanks in advance mate!
Hi! I would like testing your firmware. Please upload this ROM and add a quick tutorial. Thanks!
Sorry for my bad english, but i from germany
Ah, i see you have been busy... did you also deodex the rom? This could be a start for theming...

It'll be the same tutorial as the regular JPA. This is a JPA firmware, but I just added a few things (and took away others).
It's still recommended to factory reset after you flash, since the /data directory can get ugly.

A little No deodexing.. I simply made the filesystem on my phone the way I wanted it, and dd'd the image onto my SD card. I'm going to to a quick test run here. If it goes well, I'll upload.

Thanks for the great work already!

STEPS:
- Unzip the .zip file. You should be left with a .tar file.
- Use ODIN (select One Package)
- FACTORY RESET! .. If you're not running JPA or JPB already.
Read the tutorial here.. No point reinventing the wheel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778880
Make sure to test out the ambient light sensor.. It's worked okay for me, but double check.
Let me know how it goes!
The breakdown is this:
- cache.rfs: Direct from JPA
- factoryfs.rfs: From JPA, but modified slightly.
- logo.png: same for JPA and JPB
- modem.bin: from JPA.. Not sure the difference between it and JPB, but I've used the JPA one. Just keeping it as identical as I can to my setup.
- zImage: Unmodified from JPB

Btw did you mean ambient light sensor or proximity sensor? I ask because i think there is no ambient light sensor present in the G3

I did mean the proximity sensor =) I thought it sensed light, so that's why I said ambient light sensor.
Agree. It's proximity sensor.
A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact.

Would be cool if someone could implement brightness adjustment by sliding over notification bar, this works on i9000 but not on the G3 whereas this would be really helpfull here...

I expected more sense 7g elements (still I prefer stock sense7, I was curious to try it)
Camera seems working fine, I don't know if the camera mod will work with this, it's mandatory for me as now
there's an annoying china calendar sync prompt that pops up even if I check "do not ask again"
for my eyes......is not as fast and smooth as full stock....but still pretty nice, good work!
app drawer missing was definitely a surprise! you can enable it in settings menu

[APP] [ROOT] [7.1+] Oneplus 3/3t Control Center || All ROMs [07 MARCH]

Hey guys
This app is a result of me getting tired of some roms providing some features and some not.
So I created the PocketMode app in almost 6 hrs and it was my first android app.
This is the second iteration of the app and is completely revamped and greatly improved(I mean a lot....lot).
FEATURES:
1) Disables all enabled gestures and the fingerprint sensor while in pocket.
2) Full control of your phone's pocketmode service.
3) You won't see the fingerprint sensor getting unresponsive sometimes. Greatly improved the pocketmode part of the app.
4) You can toggle all the available gestures
5) Swap Home and Back Buttons
6) A little bit of theming
7) Starts automatically at boot, so you don't need to do anything except grant superuser rights.
8) HBM and sRGB modes included.
9) It works. 'nuf said !!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Download the apk from the second post.
2) Install like normal app.
3) open it for first time and grant root access.
4) Then enjoy the great UI
NOTE:
1) It performs perfectly fine in presence of other conflicting apps, like the cyanogenmod/LOS shipped pocketmode app. But I would suggest if you find the performance better of this one, then either uninstall the other app or freeze it because of redundancies in the system.
2) Although I've tested this rigorously, still bugs may be found and you may report them here.
HUGE SHOUTOUT OUT TO YETI-DESIGNS for the 2 amazing icons on this app. @Yeti12

3) Added Sweep2Wake toggles.
4) Added option to restore settings on boot on each page.
5) Various cosmetic changes.
6) Added 2 new icons. All thanks to @Yeti12 (look in the screenshots)
7) Squashed many bugs here and there
8) Many performance updates.

[Flashable] Ambient Display Gestures for any rom [XiaomiDoze]

So some roms have now started to include this great feature called XiaomiDoze, which pretty much adds handwave, pickup and pocket trigger to ambient display (pulse). Well since only a few roms have it, I decided to make a flashable zip out of this so that it can be used on any rom. So I extracted xiaomidoze.apk from a rom that had it built in, and made a flashable zip. Flash it in twrp and check in settings, you should see another category called "Ambient Display". It works perfectly.
You're welcome
Ps. It WILL NOT work on miui roms. It *should* work on all aosp/los based roms.
Nice!
Can ask some assistance?
Why it wont work on official LineageOS rom?
P.S. there's no additional setting to ambient display. @__ ty
so im on aicp and theres already this feature included. will this zip overwrite it or something? r the gestures and all really working? is there a way to uninstall this? thanks for the work anyways dev!??

DT2W

Hey guys.
First of all, I would love to express my appreciation to those who selflessly help the army of handless and brainless users of the amazing phone which we're all united here because of.
Secondly, I would like to leave a question.
Is there any way to implement the double-tap-to-wake with XZP on the stock firmware?
I'm pretty sure this gesture is available on most FWs based on the "pure" android, which also means:
-gb DRM
-gb stock camera app
-gb nice video recording with the best stabilization
-farewell 960fps video shooting
-forget about the OTA updates
...fairly, at the same time there are many benefits, like
-gCam, RAW photo/video shooting
...xposed, Viper4Android
etc. But, still, what exactly is the problem with the XZP that it doesn't support the DT2W feature?
You can get dt2w using the Androplus kernel. However, that requires you to unlock the bootloader.
I read that Sony just removed the feature itself. I miss that feature on the Z2 and Z5, but imo it's fine since my phone's screen kept turning on in my pocket.

-Androplus kernel, isn't it too old by now?
-sony must be really so stupid to not be aware that they can implement the proximity sensor check on dt2w, which doesn't let the screen turn on even if the power btn is pressed while the phone is in the pocket or elsewhere when it really shouldn't turn on the screen because of an accidental activity.

Yes, basically anyone can do that.
I personally prefer the stock fw. Mostly because of the camera. AOSP doesn't use Sony's camera api, sooo the image quality won't be the same. Besides, you won't be able to use the 960 fps super-slomo either.
Even on older phones, I've always preferred stock fw. It's close to pure android anyway. I have tried AOSP builds before, and always ended up going back to stock.

I use gravity screen app to wave above the screen to turn it on instead of double tap to wake. Has more helpful features too.
Waveup wakes the screen and is almost the same as DT2W. It has lots of positive feedback from the XZ1c thread.

If you can translate, understand and try, maybe it works.
With regard to waking up the phone with the proximity sensor it is already possible to do so with mrom
