Whatsapp Images - Incorrect Reference - Android Apps and Games

After a long google search I could not find any info related to this problem, so decided to write my first post here.
Problem Description:
I recently changed my phone and transferred whatsapp chats and all media folder to a new phone. Everything is fine except now images within the chats have incorrect references.
What I mean is; I have sent a picture of a building to my friend while I was using my old phone. Now in my new phone whatsapp displays a selfie which I took couple hours later.
Or, someone in a group sent a picture of his desk while I was using my old phone. Now in my new phone whatsapp displays another picture which someone else have sent me.
Is there a way to restore image references?

Twitter app and Dropbox app not showing any images?

I didn't know where to go to ask the question so I decided to go here. If this is the wrong place please let me know.
I don't really remember how long it's been happening since I hadn't been using Twitter for a very long time and I only have Dropbox installed for the auto photo upload. Recently I noticed that when I try to view pictures within the DB app it says there's an error loading image and it won't let me export anything to my phone's memory.
Same thing goes for Twitter. No one's avatar picture loads and neither do any of the pictures people post that Twitter handles with its own viewer.
Everything works in-browser but not in the respective apps.
And I haven't noticed anything like that in any of my other apps, images show up just like normal on everything else.

[Q] Posting this from the South Pole - Need some help with Hangouts on my OPO!

Hey, everyone. Believe it or not I am posting this from the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. Obviously my OPO has no service and we do not have WiFi here since we don't have 24/7 internet and the bandwidth is limited.
What I am trying to do is save every picture I have sent or received in Hangouts without having to go through each thread and open each picture. I assume that there has to be somewhere in the filesystem that the pictures are stored because any photos I have taken and sent in a message are not in my Gallery, nor are photos I have received in my Gallery unless I have opened them and actually saved them. However, all of those still appear in the Hangout thread itself so it has to be somewhere on the phone.
I am rooted and have looked through a bunch of places using File Explorer but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

[Q] How to backup local contacts with their high res pictures ?

Hello,
Since I got a android phone, I always had an issue when exporting/importing my phone contacts.
When I flash a new ROM, I'm used to export all phone contact to a .vcf file, then reimporting them after. I use the standard stock contact app feature.
BUT, after having re-importing the contacts, all the pictures contacts are systematically pixelated, and I have to set all the contacts photo again. It's very long, It takes ages.
Does somenone know the solution of that terribly boring problem ?
I know there is 2 pictures associated to each contact : one in lower resolution, used in the app, and the other in 720p resolution we can see when a contact calls us for example.
I've tried many ways to solve the problem : dump and paste the database contact in /data/data/com.contactsblablabla/databases (with, of course, reboot and chmod) and some other stuff like that.. I have explored the contacts database, but no way to find how to solve.
I'm tired of searching, 10 years android exists, there is at least one solution to this courant problem ! I've never found yet.
Any ideas ?
I asked myself the same question yesterday, did a search here and found your post.
Digged a little more, and found some app : Contacts Backup Ultimate
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.specsoft.contactsbackupultimate
Small, free, and it does indeed backup contacts as a XML file and a set of 720x720 (on my phone) pngs.
I haven't tried a restore yet.
Just tried another app that also does the job : Super Backup : SMS & Contacts
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idea.backup.smscontacts
It exports a single .vcf file, with embedded 720x720 jpeg (unlike the standard Sony contact apps which exports a .vcf file with only 96x96), which can then be imported by the standard contact app.

Whatsapp folder dissapeared in whatsapp dual app. I can't create backup messages

hello dear friends ,
to see if someone can help me. My whatsapp folder has disappeared from my samsung note 9 and I cannot create backups of my messages. The backup process reaches 100% very fast but as there is no whatsapp folder, no file is generated within the databases folder. I know that recently whatsapp has made a change and the whatsapp folder has been moved into android / media / com.wassap / whatsapp /, but this folder disappears automatically after reinstalling whatsapp after a few minutes. I have installed whatsaapp through Dual app.
The main whatsapp application works correctly. It only happens to me with the dual app whatsapp. I have cleared cache, repaired apps from recovery menu and also i have created the necessary folders again within andorid / media / com.whatsapp / whatsapp/ databases... but nothing, no backup is generated. I don't want to upload my chats to google drive. Has anyone else had this issue? thanks in advanced
Yeah the same has happened to me, and I am using an S10e. No one has found any solution to get the files back, there are posts in the samsung community as well.

I use exactly the same phone and have also been experiencing the same problem for over a month now. I just hope that both Whatsapp and Samsung would find a lasting solution to this issue.
