Reverting to old navigation bar after installing Oreo - Samsung Galaxy S8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi All,
Oreo just installed automatically on my Samsung S8 and I truly hate the look of the new navigation bar
Also, it will remain steadily on, even though I have "Show and hide button" enabled in settings.
Does anyone know how to revert into the old Navigation bar looks?
Thanks!

[Q] How to force full screen for everything?

Hi there. Lovin the N5 so far. Definitely the fastest phone I have ever used (and I've used tons). Trying to move to more gesture based things and looking for a way to hide the status / nav bars so I can just use Pie and swipe down for status bar / notifications. I can use GMD Gesture Controls to hide both, but it reverts back to normal after I lock the screen. Plus the status bar doesn't swipe down easily if at all like that. Anyone else have any ideas or just have to wait till more devs get their N5s to build up the KitKat support for mods?

Question, status bar remove toggles

I am trying to figure out if anyone has a way to remove the notification bar toggles.. The WiFi Bluetooth location etc, to empty. I am homesick to stock android and with removing thag,, the note 5 will look very stockish.

Anyways to remove the carrier logo in the notification bar?

Question in the title. Thanks.
Black Sharpie marker...
It's likely in the carrier app. There's a way to disable it for T-mobile through the carrier app settings as I don't have the T in my notification bar anymore.
Picture please, I got tmobile and don't see any logos.
Yes picture.
Got tmobile and dont see a logo or name anywhere on my phone

I don't have any logo in my notification bar, I have a tmobile device. I use nova launcher and BK Package Disabler
As stated remove via the T-Mobile app settings.
I'd love to get rid of Sprint in the top bar too. Up until now I've been running moar ROMs with the ability to change the notification bar at will. Center clock, date in the bar beside the clock, new colours, etc.
Of course I've had root on my phones up until this point too. Looking forward to that day with my s8+.

Removing status bar icons...

Google introduced a status bar icon editor back in developer previews of 8.0, yet seemed to have vanished from public release.
This is the menu where you used to hold the gear icon on the status bar, it would spin and unlock the editor.
For this, you can use any "activity launcher" however I will explain using Nova.
Long press on the home screen.
Select widgets.
Then you'll see "Activies" - press this.
Scroll down to "System UI" - touch it. You'll then see "Demo mode"(3rd option down) - touch this and a little wrench will appear on your home screen.
Press it. You'll see the status bar editor open up. Select status bar, and turn off the icons you want removed.
After this, reboot. And they will be gone.
I have Bluetooth, Alarm Clock, and signal bars all removed. Makes the status bar just clean and neat.
Give it a try!
ENJOY!
This is a great hidden find, unfortunately I wasn't able to remove the battery icon.... I don't need that with percentage showing.
Didn't work on my Global version. I can unselect then but after rebooting they are all still there.

I'm using the global version, and it works great on mine and another buddies of mine.
What version software do you have?
Only WiFi seems to disappear for me. Other icons just reappear on my global variant of the Mate 20 X. But thank you for the guide regardless.
Also wish the performance mode icon could be hidden, but that's not even an option.
Sigh, if we could just get near stock Android + sprinkles of EMUI customisations, I'd be so happy.. I love the hardware, camera, overall feel of the Mate 20 X but keep finding myself playing with my 6T and Pixel 2 XL because the software is a tough pill to swallow on the Huawei phone.

Seems like some toggles work, while some others don't :/
Would love to hide the VoLTE icon on the status bar. Or some way to rearrange the ordering if possible.
Edit: Just realized I can simply turn off VoLTE in the mobile networks settings (since I don't use it) to remove the icon.
can u explain 1 2 3
how i can remove eye comfort and volte?

Wow, I was really excited about this, but my phone automatically overrides it at boot. I think I can see it for a split second before it reverts, but it might just be populating the icons.
Anybody know more about this?
I am using lawn chair V2 launcher and although you can't hide icons you can set it to hide the whole status bar, very clean and to see the bar you just pull down from the top of the screen

Fully immersive mode

Hi I normally use bxactions to hide both the status bar and nav keys but it doesn't seem to be compatible yet and looks like Samsung have even stopped use been able to hide the softkeys
Does anyone know another way of having immersive mode I know it can be done with adb but doesn't that just leave us with a constant black bar at the top?
Thanks

Yeah, I tried hiding the status bar with ADB but it doesn't look right in most apps. You can still hide the navigation bar and use gestures, I'm just baffled that you can't hide the status bar in the default Samsung browser anymore. The option is still present on my Note 9 running an older version but on the Note10+ it's gone.

Ya I have the note 9 too and I've just got it set to immersive on the bxactions app but cannot seem to get it sorted on the note 10 I'm too paranoid about screen burn so its normally the first thing I do lol
On the Note 9, you can enable gesture navigation and then turn off the "hints" buttons, giving you a full screen experience. It should work the same way on the Note 10+.

Thanks I've tried that but don't like full gestures I like been able to swipe from the bottom and it brings up the softkeys also I'm after hiding the status bar the same way
You can use this to have an immersive mode toggle. You can choose what it hides. Status bar and nav bar or 1 or the other
