This is a common psychological problem... both of you thought well before deciding to buy I'm sure.... But once you buy the black, you wish if you have the while... and if you bought the white you wish if you have the black...
HTC have no plan to issue a rom update to solve this problem
However the white trinity have an advantage of not peeling off the paint around the rim....
The black version have the advantage of looking more sexy

Nice analysis but the real story was, I always knew I wanted a black one (I previously had a black M600). But I had a choice of a free upgrade from Orange UK (white only) or buy a black one for around £400. No choice really...
Get a silicone case and all your problems will be solved
How would a white silicon case look on a black trinity?
I've looked everywhere but i could not find any new cases for Trinity...my problem is that not even after 24h i had this pda my dog reached it on the table and it dropped on the floor making two quite big scratches on my case :/ so if any would see cases for trinity plz let me know oh, and I want white one ;p
According to HTC you can switch the cases. But only at the local service-centre. There is a service centre in Belgium, but they ask E-30,- for the switch, and you cant have back the old (black/white) covers.
Maybe if you really like to switch the covers, you can mail HTC europe for the addresse of your service centre.

He wrote instructions of how to paint peeled-off trins. Perhaps his method is also valid for the plastic cover. Maybe you can paint your Trin red, pink or flowered!

You can find many complete covers on ebay. But they are only over current cover, not a replace. Does anybody found the replace one?

I've seen a lot of T-mobile replacement phones with no battery covers. In the first place, how could you lose the battery cover?

I've searched around here and amazon for a replacement battery door for my note 4 to no avail. I've seen a few metal ones, but what I'm really looking for is a material that is similar to the back of the Nexus 5--a kind of soft-touch/rubbery/smooth material that has some grip to it.
With the current battery door my note 4 slides all over the place in my car, where the Nexus 5 would stay exactly where I put it.
If anyone has any idea where I could find one of these I would appreciate it. It doesn't have to be white, but that would be best--I could live with black though.

You might consider the Samsung protective cover. The back of it has a nice grippy texture, it adds very little bulk, makes the phone easier to hold, and protects pretty well too.

Try one of those invisible shields on the back cover.. That'll give it grip.

It is a shame to cover that nice metal frame. I split the difference by using the case when I'm working or driving, keeping the phone safe and not sliding around, and take it off when out for the evening or around the house.
I did get a Ram Mount for the car, which keeps it in place nicely, although it is still better off in the case, it fits in the holder better.
You could try some velcro tape or something similar perhaps. Use the hook part somewhere convenient in the car and the loop part on the cover.
I doubt you'll find a custom cover any time soon.
EDIT: Bought one. It is very nice. One issue.
How do I change 24h clock to 12h? Phone is set to 12h but LEDs on cover still use 24h clock. .
It looks soo nice. Normally $60 but I got it for $48+tax here in Canada at The Source through Bell Business Advantage discount.
1st one had physical defect so I had it swapped but both were stuck on 24 hour clock even when phone was set to and using 12h clock.

I dont like the flip covers. Specifically for the reason you mentioned. I had an SView cover for my N3, thankfully I bought it on sale for like 29.99 instead of the 50 retail....but I rarely used it. Cases are personal preference, you can't ask what you should do.

The LED case will only help protect the screen. Not the rest of the phone. I've been thinking about getting this case myself but I just keep taking the cases off in favor of the naked Note 4.
Yeah I mean in a pocket its great, full protection of the screen. However, outside of that, it's pretty thin on actual impact protection. The corners WILL get banged up if you drop it, and it has no rubber in it to help absorb impact like a tpu case or otterbox.
I currently have the padded flip wallet and I love it. However if you are concerned about drop protection, this case will disappoint. I dropped mine few weeks ago and the flip cover landed open with screen down. Luckily no cracked screen but I do have a couple of scratches. So if you are looking for protection, this won't be it. But if you are looking for a good quality case with built in smart function, this would be the best one to buy.
With that being said, ill stop by source tomorrow and will get the led cover to replace my normal flip wallet!

It is 12 h in settings and phone uses 12h but flip cover still uses 24h.
I tried restarting, reattaching cover.

I bought my phone on the Chinese website so the seller gave me these for free. Yes the carbon fibre paper is something like D brand skin(see the attachment). The one I have is transparent, so you can see the back perfectly - but I have a case on, so it is covered anyway. I guess you can get these carbon fibre paper anywhere, hardware store, maybe even gift shops? Just cut the camera holes.
