===== Key Features =====
Free WiFi Connection
No matter where you are, My WiFi is an all-inclusive WiFi Finder application that will be able to detect the nearest WiFi signal that is available to you, allowing you to tap onto that Free WiFi Network and surf the net as you wish for FREE. What’s more, that particular WiFi connection will be stored in your mobile device for future use if you are out and about.
WiFi Speed Test
Upon connection of a WiFi, users are able to do a simple test of how strong or weak that connection is. You will be able to see metrics such as download and upload speeds for that connected network, Furthermore, My WiFi is smart enough to recommend suggestions to you pertaining to the current online activities that you are able to do with the current network e.g. messaging, gaming, or video streaming.
Secured WiFi Connection
During the Speed test process, My WiFi is also intelligent enough to detect and deter any SSLStep attach or WiFi interception or WiFi Hijacking that may compromise the security of your phone and the contents within it. My WiFi will alert you immediately if a specific network has such an issue and prompt you to disconnect from it.
HotSpot Detection
Once the connection is successful, you are able to view and monitor the quality of your WiFi. If your personal WiFi is turned on, there will be many users that are out to connect to your hotspot, which means you need to do a password change for your current router to improve the security of your WiFi and keep the connection consistent and fast without having to compromise the speed.

My device is almost 3-years old. Problem I am facing is that Whenever I connect to a wifi network, the download speed I get is significantly low but the upload speed is accurate. Let's say a I connect to a 30mbps wifi network, and perform a speedtest using speedtest app by ookla, it gives me download speed around 16-18mbps but in case of upload speed, it is 30mbps. The same wifi network speed has been tested by same app on different devices like redmi note 3, where both download and upload speed are same and its 30mbps. And this the actual 30mbps plan, both download and upload will be the same and it should be 30mbps.
Only my yuphoria is unable to fetch that kind of download speed particularly. I think my baseband is updated and using official LOS14.1. If you have any suggestion please share it.
Actually my college internet blocks all online games. So I use Airtel mobile internet. I use usb tethering to connect to internet. While playing PUBG, It randomly shows Network lag detected. I play on Asia server. I have tried switching modes from phone info(*#*#4636#*#*) and also reset the apn settings, but nothing solves the issue. Has anyone faced this issue? Can you suggest a fix for this?
Anyone?? pls
This is a month old and found it while looking for pubg optimisations.
Assuming you are playing pubg (desktop version)
Online games require a good internet connection.
A good internet connection doesnt mean high speed only. You need faster PING. Mobile networks have slower pings compared to fiber/cable internet. So check your ping as it will change depending on signal strength, etc.
Its issue of connection not your phones fault.
PS: during your test you might see faster PING but when you are connecting to a game server that connection might have multiple hoops so you'll get slower ping than test servers( as they are designed to have less hoops and fast connection)
Hope this soothes the pain.
Did u try to use just VPN service?
@netgar: To make it worse? VPN usually takes more hops. So the ping is automatically higher. And I doubt, Airtel will route you worse than via VPN.
Same issue
i am also having the same issue
Is there is any setting or something that can increase upload speed while using mobile internet (JIO)
You can't increase upload speed. It's the speed or bandwidth your ISP has devoted for uploading.
there are some tweak that could make your WIFI connection stable such as choosing WPA2-AES as encryption , choosing uncrowded channel and forcing your router to only broadcast N instead of B, G, N but increasing its speed significantly depend on your ISP plan you have brought
Hi,
I use an Android Headunit in my car, I only download updates when connected to my house wifi, and downloading the map updates takes forever. I'd love to be able to download on my laptop or phone, and then transfer to the car using a memory card.
Anyone have any ideas if this could be done?
Thanks
IMO download speed doesn't depend on device where data should get stored, but on Internet speed.
Download speed refers to how many megabits (Mbps) per second it takes your TomTom server to download data to your device.
If speed score is fast — around 100-200 Mbps — this indicates that your slow download speed has nothing to do with the Internet. If your speed score is low — below 100 Mbps — this could be an indication that the Internet may be the problem.
Keep in mind that your speeds vary depending on the number of users that are on your network at a time.
Thanks but, Laptop uses Wi-Fi 6 AX, to connect to router, Android Headunit Wi-Fi 5 AC and further from router. Additionally I think headunit is only 2.4Ghz connection as opposed to 5Ghz on laptop.
IMO you are confusing bandwidth and Internet speed.
