Hey I was wondering if the pixel has hey Google support yet or google lens though google assistant? I just got my pixel and no notification about hey google. My old budget phone got it so I expected to see it on the pixel. Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: After doing turning my phone off then back on it got the notification for hey Google and the Google lens in the assistant. If anyone else has issues with it try that.
they "hey Google" rollout I have to say is hitting devices with no rhyme or reason... I have 2 LGV20 devices that still have not gotten the "hey Google" notification yet, but after recently picking up an OG Pixel I got the notification about two days after setting up the device.
Thanks today is my second day with the OG pixel. Have to say I'm loving the phone so far.

OK,so I believe I have everything setup right. Even have trusted voice. Hey galaxy works with screen off but OK google does not. It just does nothing unless screen is on. On another note, my wife's note 4 works fine but says it can't unlock the screen for texts and such. Anyway to fix these two issues?
You can't use OK Google with the screen off unless the device is plugged in

That sucks huh. Wonder why the note 4 was capable of it. I guess google just plans to remove that feature. Makes me miss the Motorola assist always listening
S voice works with the screen off. It's not quite as good as moto voice but it works great for me
So, when I say ok google, I get the prompt with "How can I help" but I coulda swore she used to actually say it. Does anyone elses actually talk and ask "how can I help" rather than just the text showing up?
IF so, trying to figure out whats wrong here...
An update removed it. This way it is now is majorly streamlined compared to the 7.1 Assistant in October when I got the phone. It worked yah, but this is smooth now.
It doesn't cut me off mid sentence nearly as much.
I am pretty sure yours is working fine if it gives audio feedback with some answers. Just a beep to start seems normal for me currently.

Any solutions?
Even, I can see that the phone is never in sleep state and is always awake..
Any help?

Hey everyone! I was just wondering how many of you have the new Google Feed that started rolling out last week? I haven't gotten it yet, and I'm even on the Beta program for the Google app. I'm also in the Android Beta Program.
Also, does the updated feed have a translucent effect and show your wallpaper behind it like some of the screenshots I've seen?
I have it on my Pixel. Yes, it does have a translucent background on the top portion of my screen.

Thanks for the reply! I still haven't gotten the rollout on my Pixel. Hopefully I get it soon. The screenshots I've seen look really great.
Did you go anything to get it? I still don't have it on my Pixel (8.0)
Had it for 2 days (started on Thursday 17th Aug 2017) however it disappeared and reverted back to the old one on the Saturday.
Got to be honest, it seems like a poor implementation. The UX is pretty poor. It is like they just want to push News on you instead of giving context aware information. So I am glad they reverted back to the old style.
got it, but can not swipe to mark feed as done anymore.
I just got the new Feed. It looks nice, and has a translucent background. The only disappointing part is that I can't swipe cards away.

In Google forums it's common problem and even Google afford replacement if you baught from play store... But i don't the source of my copy because I baught it used.. M
Any one can help so I can find way to replace
hei @Sayed2 , maybe you can go directly to Google store if there is one in your country. in my case, there is no Google store in my country and i try to contact the Google support and they cannot help me because im out of their support coverage area.
So i participated in this Thread and hope that the solution could fixed the microphone and speaker problem.

.
It doesn't matter if it's used or not. If your in the US and the original owner bought the phone in Google Store you can call support and asked for a replacement you just need your IMEI ready and they will check the warranty. The advantage of it is they can send you the replacement first before you send back your defective phone. But if it's the other way around you need to send your phone first before they send you the replacement.
Everyone who has been waiting for Pie should go check it now...
OMG! It's actually there. Running the install now.
Q beta became available for our Pixel 3a's today.
I feel the Pie is smoother than version 8.1
And hope Q is no better than Pie so that I can hold Z3 play for longer.

Ummmm can I roll back the upgrade? Miss the transparent background and the new gestures are absolutely horrible! Never was a fan of pie but motoz implementation of it sucks on their non Android one devices. And what's with this dark mode sh$# just give me holo design. Thank God I'm selling this phone! Samsung's one UI is so much better! And that's coming from a long term non impressed Motorola user
Yea.. just checked it and it was there available for pie update..

Edit: How do we enable the system tools back? It used to be pressing the settings icon and it will rotates until you got notifiy for the system tools being enabled.
Downloaded last night. It fixed a few issues I was having on Oreo. No complaints.
Got the update today, no issues so far.
I checked today but nothing there. However, I have my sim in my new g7 power I bought after LSMA Killed the z3 and I sent it back to Texas. I wonder if WiFi isn't enough and you need a sim to get the update? I'm just gonna use this as a backup phone although the OLED screen was nicer than the g7 power.

Last night my daughter checked her z3 play and she got the update. Exact same phone as mine and same carrier. But not me. So pissed and jealous! IDK what their rollout strategy or method is but it blows.
J
Still no update. I keep checking. Did they turn off all future updates when I had to send it back to Texas when their update room booked it erasing the IMEI and disabling Wi-Fi?
J
Got the update yesterday so far no issues
