I have noticed now several time when on long calls I hear a clicking sound and some times several times during the call. It almost sounds like a electrical short sound. The first time I heard it I pulled it away from my ear and wiped the phone off thinking it might have been some sweat getting in the speaker. But then it did it again.
Does anyone else have this or noticed this?
Yes, every HTC phone I have owned does this and it drives me crazy! Don't have a clue what causes it.
I've had mine over a week now and never noticed any strange sounds through the earpiece.
The speakerphone, on the other hand, is horrendous! I'm on conference calls on my phone several times a week, and the sound and clarity of the MT4G's speaker is crap. Luckily, most everything else rocks.

I wonder if it could be a reception issue or if you are on the edges between towers? I have never had this with any other phone though.
I was driving on the freeway today and talking on the phone with the speaker phone setting on, and the other person kept saying it sounded like I was getting disconnected. However, when I was at a stop or driving slower (without much background noise) it was fine.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? Or any issue using the speaker phone for phone calls?
Talking on the phone through the earpiece worked fine.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a hardware issue so I can get an exchange.

What do you mean it sounded like you were getting connected? Like clicking or words cutting off or just dead silence with no background noise?

They described it as if I was kind of like under water and my voice was bubblely...and a lot of noise in the background...
Okay so I ran into this REALLY weird issue with my call speaker yesterday
Yesterday, when I got home I placed my phone next to my keyboard and forgot about it after a while. When I wasn't behind the computer, someone called me but phone stopped ringing after 2-3 seconds (Possibly they had wrong number) BUT right after the phone stopped ringing, the call speaker began to emit a high pitched noise. I grabbed the phone and tried to stop it by taking out the battery. I also found out that the frequency of the high pitched noise changed every time I moved my phone just a little and then it stopped completely by itself
Today, when I was on the toilet, I received a call and in the middle of a call, the call speaker began to emit a REALLY loud noise (It sounded like the beeping of those really old soviet electronic alarm clocks). I only heard it but the person on the other end couldn't hear it. It got either quieter or louder depending on how I positioned the phone which is a sign that both these incidents are caused by a single issue
I never had this problem before and I'm pretty sure that it's a hardware issue since I tried the volume keys too and it seemed to ignore the volume controls or plugged in headphones
Any idea what could be causing this and how to get rid of this issue? I might not be able to send it for repairs so any "ghetto" repair guides are welcome
I don't know if this came from 6.0, because I can't remember this being a big problem until about two weeks ago.
When I'm listening to podcasts or audio books on bluetooth there are two kinds of disconnections happening.
The first is a normal one where the headset just goes "phone one disconnected" and suddenly I have sound coming out of my pocket. Annoying, but usually explainable by me bending over in the wrong way so that the signal suddenly became weaker or something. But this has been happening FAR more lately.
The other one is weirder. The sound will just drop out from the bluetooth device, and sound will come out of the phone. In this case signal strength isn't in any way related, because it literally happens when connected to a Logitech Boom sitting right next to the phone, or when I'm holding my phone in my hand and holding it right next to my ear where the headset is.
So my question is: is there a semi-known bug with Bluetooth in 6.0? If there is, how do I fix it, if there isn't... How do I fix it?
The only thing I haven't tried is reformatting the phone, but I'm considering doing that and derooting, since the only reason I'm rooted right now is to get rid of the wireless charging sound, and that's not that important to me.
Ok, the speakers on this phone (D6603) were bad to begin with, crackly as hell from a month or so in, I've still got about 6 months of my contract left (2yr) and the phone is out of warranty.
So now the top speaker is making a static noise for a few seconds after I press most buttons, even ones that do not make a sound, or when the phone is on silent it still does it...
Is there a fix for this? I'm happy to replace the speakers, but would surgery fix this particular problem?
Thanks!
