Hi,
I have the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 and there's an app called Phone Manager which has many nice options. I have another phone, Samsung Galaxy S3, running cyanogenmod 11. I've copied the PhoneManager.apk file from the Huawei phone and I'd like to install it on the Samsung phone. The app did not install using the standard installer. I changed some of the parameters on build.prop where I changed phone name and manufacture hoping that the app will be installed. No success.
What can I do to force an install. I don't mind if it does work. I just want to get it installed.
Please advise.
Thanks.
I was very fond of Huawei Music Player 6.13.xx on my previous Mate 7 L09 device with Marhmallow ( no-root) . Back then I was somehow able to install over existing music player as an update. It was possible to search and download songs.
Now I can't install the apk as it gives a notification of non-conformance or something.
What could be the problem?
The problem is that you are trying to install an older version 6.xx of a system app on top of the one included in your system which must be 7.xx
you cant do that without removing the new app which needs root.
you may only install newer versions on top of system apps.

Hello forum.
I have the Huawei Mediapad X2 (Gem 703-L) EMUI 4.0.3
Model from 2006
So after 5 years i decided to give it to mother...
But after format all Google apps and playstore disappeared.
Any suggestions please how to reinstall the Playstore ?
I tried to download the Playstore apk but the phone does not permit the installation of any application that is not downloaded from Hiapp.
please somebody can help ?
I don't know what was the problem but after a second format now I can install the Google applications.
What do you mean by the word of 'format'? Factory reset?
In addition to enabling the setting option of 'unknown source', make sure that you have disabled the option of 'external source apps check' or have enabled the 'airplane mode' when you try to install the Play Store apk.
Thanks for the info James.
Yes I mean reset...
This post is for the people that have AppGallery uninstalled (with ADB) from their devices or they use a non-Huawei device but are forced to install a Huawei app from AppGallery (for example Huawei Health). Here is how you can achieve it:
1. Go to AppGallery's website:
https://appgallery.huawei.com/#/
2. Search the app you want: then click on it go see full description and etc, and then copy the link (for example with Huawei Themes, which it isn't safe to uninstall):
https://appgallery.huawei.com/#/app/C100160093
3. Then transform that link to:
https://appgallery.cloud.huawei.com/appdl/C100160093
Adding ".cloud" next to "appgallery" and changing "app" to "appdl" with removing the "/#".
Useful if you have AppGallery uninstalled but still want to update important system apps like Huawei Themes and Huawei Health (if you have a Huawei watch). I use this method on my device with Huawei Themes and Health because I have a Huawei Watch GT and I need Huawei Health but I also have bloatware (including AppGallery) uninstalled with ADB.
