Well these commands appears when you push the middle button placed on the microphone module of the headphones. Maybe there's a problem with the entire module or it's a button problem.

I just noticed this myself as well. I very rarely use the phone button on my bluetooth headset (as my headset is actually just a thing that I plug my own headphones into) but it would be nice to be able to text while I'm outside without pulling my phone out of the pocket.
I'll look into this a bit and see if I find a way to do it. It's likely going to involve an app. With my last phone it was able to be done, but it was using one of the apps that were bundled in by Samsung.

This is what I found. Works perfectly with my samsung HS3000. It does not work with my sony MW1, but that's because the sony MW1 does not seem to let the action button be used for anything other than answering or hanging up a phone call.

Just bought Nokia Coloud Pop, and its is not working on my device(A110Q).
When I play music, only background music is being played, the voice is not audible
There a button on the headphone(remote controller), when I press, the voice is also audible along with the music, mean to say, it works fine with the button pressed, else not.
I called Nokia, they said the headphone is only for high end nokia devices.
So what I want to ask is that is there any way out?
are there apps to fix the problem, or any converter?
and out of curiosity, what causes this problem? I've faced this miss match of headphone with mobile phone many times.
Thank you in advance!

I damaged my earphones and tried using samsung's earphones and faced the same issue that u faced. I just applied tape on the mic so that it will always stay pressed and now it works perfectly. That's the best method
use earfones without mic
those works perfectly

people are suggesting crazy ways! dude, this way you can damage your sound IC, better buy a new headset, it won't cost you above 500 bucks, and will definitely save you the poison of getting your sound IC replaced.
'Jugaad' can sometimes prove drastic!
Thank's note......!!
Thank you very much man for posting this question.
I always had to hold the pin right when ever I heard something from my phone , but after I tried holding the remote button
the audio play's perfectly . Now it's just enough to hold the button without worrying about reseting the pin over and over again....

I have oneplus one i opened it just out of curiosity and i broke(scrapped off) 3 diod from main chip-set placed just above mic flex cable connection slot. My mic stopped working. while recording video i get beep sound + my sound but while calling i only get beep sound. I dont think hardware repair is possible so i was wondering if there is any software way to make other mics as primary (any specific ROM that offers this or any other manual coding method)?

An edited XML file could work.. I'll try to find it, there are threads discussing similar topics, but haven't seen this exact scenario..

I'm looking at my theory.. The threads are in conjunction to low mic volume, but if you alter the path, you may be able to change the input source..
I'm thinking to make the speaker mic the new main mic..
This is mixer_paths.XML in /system /ect

So what we need to do is
- deactivate main mic
- take input from other mic
- make it primary
any other point i am missing?

My phone isn't broken, so I can't say as to which mic is working instead of another.. Don't worry though, you won't brick your phone by rooting, nor this mod..

You can always rub your finger over the mic. If the noise is low, it`s not that mic that is being used.

For recording your voice, yes. Use a third party app like Parrot that lets you choose a mic. Some video apps probably do the same.

Anyone having mic problem with P40 pro during the call? The other side cannot hear me when I use normal mode to talk. But when I turn on the speaker it is fixed and they can hear me well. Is it hardware ot software problem? Mine is 10.1.0.154.
It is annoying. I have tried factory reset, safe mode and still having the problem.
But it seems fine in whatsapp and messenger call though.
Please help me.
Sorry literally 0 issues with mine ... Other the face unlock not working with a bloody mask ?

I just want to know that it is software or hardware issue. Because this is very annoying.
Try to go in Support app and then at Troubleshooting...one of those options from there should test mic also as I remember.

Hello, has your microphone returned to normal?
I have the same problem, the call works well on the speaker because it uses the upper microphone. But the bottom microphone has a very low volume, making the other person not hear the voice on calls.
That's what I deduced from the tests and the support app. I'm afraid of being a hardware problem, I recently purchased the smartphone.
The microphone appears to be wet or dirty.
