Can no longer reply whatsapp messages - Samsung Gear S3

I have been using the Gear S3 Frontier for over a year with no problems. (SMR760-R760XXU2CQL1)
Suddenly, yesterday a notification on the Samsung Gear App appeared and said "Cannot connect to Gear S3", i took a look at the watch and it auto-restarted to factory settings (asking me language and everything just like the first use).
So, i did proceed to reconfigure it again (it was no update, already using Tizen 3.0.0.1 for over two months if i recall correctly), and everything works as before EXCEPT i can no longer reply to Whatsapp messages.
I always had the stock option of replying just as any other text SMS message, but now, when i receive a whatsapp notification and choose reply, it goes to "Check your phone" for replying. Anyone know how to solve this? It works perfectly fine with a normal SMS message though the stock app, is just Whatsapp ones not working.
paired device is a Motorola Moto X Play (XT1563)
Thanks.

Thanks, that solved the Reply problem! i didn´t think it was a whatsapp update issue.
Follow-up question, i used the version 2.18.15 and worked just fine, the problem is it only lasted a couple of hours because the whatsapp app itself forced me to update it saying it was an outdated version (even though i disabled the auto-update from the play store). Anything i can do to avoid this?
Thanks!

the same for me.....?

Downgraded to 2.18.46 and it works without saying outdated version.

Any solution?
Is there a solution to this without having to revert to an older version of WhatsApp? If not, how do i download an old version that will work, ie allow me to reply to messages on Gear?

I've had the same issue appear and unless you down grade your what's app it won't work ..
But I have found a way round it but cost me £1.70 it's a app called chat hub you download it onto watch and phone and I can reply using this also helps with reading multi messages that we used to have the issues with so in my eyes £1.70 well spend hope this helps.

Hey guys, if you want to keep the most recent version of whatsapp and the reply feature, check out W-History on the Samsung App Store. I made the following video to demonstrate the app with the latest version of Whatsapp.

Play Service 7.3 update android wear

this latest Play Service 7.3 update says it has ability to dismiss Android Wear notifications. Prior to this update, a connected Android Wear device would put a permanent notification in your notification bar. This might not have bothered some people, but others like a clean notification shade, so being able to swipe it away is handy.
however updating it on my s6 I still can't swipe away the notification , my watch is the gear 2 neo running tizen os I belive is that why ?

That is why. Android Wear and Tizen are two different operating systems.
Unfortunately, the odds of Google Play Services being updated in the future to fix an issue with Tizen notifications probably isn't very high...

By the way, where did you find the update? I haven't seen the 440 version for the S6/S6e, just the 446. Or does 446 work for us? (See the "Notes" section here.)

To band-aid this issue, go to Galaxy Apps - 3 Dots Menu - Settings - Disable "Show updates on notification panel", if that doesn't work then disable "Auto Update Apps" as well.
Hope this helps

You want to install the enhanced features apk not the contacts and ok
http://www.apkmirror.com/wp-content/themes/APKMirror/download.php?id=233358
the error was Samsung. there was no update. it was a false positive error on Samsung part. i called them.
So whatever the issue was, it resolved itself. However, because of this issue, I've noticed certain Samsung apps are not the most current although my device says it's "up to date" .
Example, I noticed my Samsung Contacts app says it's up to date running 3.1.08.15 . Now on Apkmirror it showed the latest as 3.1.15.1.
I flushed the Galaxy apps app, made no difference. What are u guys on the At&T variant running ? Wondering if it's just me .... thanks.

Apk mirror has the newest version always. Those updated are ones Samsung just hasn't pushed to your device yet. Most of them are perfectly safe for you to install

Samsung Enhanced Features update notification message
Here is the way I fixed this issue:
Why not do what I did, go into settings/system apps and find "enhanced features" and disable and stop it from running.
Before I done that I got a notification about updating the enhanced features every single time I rebooted the phone.
As soon as I disabled it and rebooted the phone I no longer have that popup notification in the notification screen
about "enhanced features".
Good luck, have a great day!

Samsung apps update problem (SM-G955U1)

Hey everyone...
I recently purchased a Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U1) and I'm having some problems with it.
The Samsung native apps like Messages, Phone, Contacts, etc don't get updated, but in their "about" section which shows the version, says this app is up to date. I even tried going to Galaxy Apps and tried updating from there, but there is no update available. My phone itself is apparently up to date as well, but I'm not sure.
This is the software version installed:
G955U1UEU1AQH3
I went to apk websites and saw that almost all the samsung native apps on my phone are at least a couple versions out of date, and it's really bothering and annoying. To a point that my samsung messages app, doesn't even have "delivery report" option for sms. It's just not there...
2 of my family members have also Galaxy S8 pluses, and their phones function well, and everything is up to date!
So, how can I fix this problem on my phone without modding it or anything because I want my phone to remain mod free!
I will appreciate your help VERY VERY much!

What website you are using I'd like to see if my apps are updated.
load new versions from apkmirror.com, then for being able to install them without getting the "package exists" error you have to change the secure startup (off if on and vice versa), then you are able to update these system apps!

Still having issues after toggling the secure startup feature. Anyone have any other idea? Right now I still get the "package exists" error. I even try going up only one version at a time.

I figured it out. I was being too impatient before. Go to apkmirror or similar sites and download the apks to the phone. Once downloaded, you need to toggle secure startup (if it is on the turn it off, but if off then you will need to turn it on). After you do that, immediately restart your phone. Once booted, head directly to the download folder and install all of the apks. Do not launch any of the apps to verify until you finish loading all of the apks or you will have to repeat the process. Once you are done, you can launch which ever app to verify. I had an issue with the apps crashing at first so I rebooted and all issues went away for now at least.
Good luck. You can also set apkmirror to notify you when a new version comes out if you so choose to go that route.

Android Messages no longer sends notifications to s3

I've had a great two weeks receiving text messages through my Gear S3 using Android Messages on my OnePlus 5T. After the watch died, I restarted it and now I do not get a buzz vibration for that SMS app. Other SMS apps work but don't have the features of replies through the watch. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Uninstall the latest update to Android Messages. Worked for me and another person.
So sorry for the late reply, but would this just be uninstalling the app and installing the lower version apk?
Depends on whether it comes preinstalled on your phone or not. On my pixel xl 2, it only let me uninstall updates. If yours actually uninstalls it, then I guess, yes, do that then find a previous version on apk mirror.

Sooo, there's a new update as of yesterday. Before you uninstall updates, or the app, whatever, you should grab that and see if it fixes things
It doesn't fix anything. I'm having the same issue and using the "uninstall updates" version of the app for now.

Your Gear app should have an update. It fixes these issues.
I just checked and it said I had the latest Gear S3 update. Unless there's an update rolling out now that I might still have to wait for?

My bad, it's the Gear S Plugin that was updated. I'm on version 2.2.03.18031441N
The Android messages app updated today and I'm getting notifications again so maybe all is well within the app.
I have the latest update of Android Messages and Gear S plugin and I’ve never been able to send/receive messages using it.
My phone/watch forces me to use stock Samsung Messages in order to see notifications. Anyway to circumvent this?
(Samsung S8+, Sprint, S3 Frontier)
I downloaded a different messaging app, used it once, then deleted it and my default Google messaging app resumed working on my watch. I am running a Pixel XL, rooted, S3 Classic.
I'm wondering if the phone has something to do with it. On my Honor 8 I used Textra and it worked great with my S3. After I replaced it with a Samsung S9, I can only get message notifications with the Samsung app.

Google Assistant Disabled

Google Assistant on my Nokia 6.1 suddenly disabled, I use it on a daily basis to make phone calls and all. It was working fine till the evening but later at night I just found it broken while trying to unlock my device with voice commands. And I did not make any changes to settings or installed any apps and the app is also up to date, so I am totally clueless about what just happened to it. And it is a very handy feature for my day to day use so kind of disappointed. I have searched through web and YouTube yet couldn't find any working solution for me. I have attached two screenshots that might help you understand the problem. Also the setup wizard is on loop asking to setup voice module again and again uninstalling updates/clearing data/cache didn't help either. So I am just out of options here. Any information on this issue would be helpful.

I'm a beta tester of the Google app, but if you have that issue on the stable version, then it is weird. I don't use Assistant so much, so I don't know when it stopped working.
If you need it, you can try to delete data for the Google app, and see if it works.
I will wait for the next version...
Edit: I also asked in G+ community, and I received this comment:

Yeah I also opted in beta to check if something works but no gain also tried installing another version newer than mine (8.14.15.21) from apkmirror again no success. And if I activate it by long pressing the home button it will give me the welcome screen everytime, seems the app is on a loop!
