I have a MTCE_XRC unit running "stock" 7.1.2. So far its working great in my GM vehicle. Retaining all factory systems that I require including the rear factory flip down headrest. The problem is that I only get Video output when I click the DVD button or insert a DVD. The goal would be to mirror the front screen on the flip down monitor so I can play youtube or video files back there.
Does anyone know if this has been addressed/corrected with any ROM or is there a setting I am missing?

I want to make an application that does video out while using the camera, but I'm not sure if the g-tablet will work since I don't have a dock yet. Can someone with one try running the camera app and see if it displays via the hdmi out while they are doing it? I've tried with my captivate and video out cuts out once the camera is activated.
the HDMI out on the dock outputs whatever is on the tablet screen to whatever you have it hooked up to, audio included. I use mine on my monitor all the time. Works the same with the camera running

If it just mimics the screen I suppose it's not possible to get to get 1080p output for pictures or movies then .
I'm using Samsung's microUSB to HDMI adapter with my Sensation and it works fine but seems like there's no any configuration of hdmi output nowhere. Is there any app to do this or some config files?
There's just one small problem. I have black frame appx. 2cm on 42" TV. It seems like it's made for overscan because when i enable oversan in my tv the image fits perfectly but, obviously, i get cropped resolution then. But, i've noticed one interesting thing: the stock apps like camera output really fullscreen image on the TV without any frame and without any UI elements on TV screen so all the controls go to phone's display and not on the TV. So if there's no way to configure HDMI in sensation yet i have another question: Is there any video player which plays all formats(like MoboPlayer, etc.) which can also handle TV output like stock apps making it really fullscreen without any frame and not just cloning the phone's display to tv?

I have an amazon fire tv stick and I can mirror from the s6 to the stick just fine (hold down the home button on the remote control and select "mirroring", then connect from the S6 settings)
All this works fine - the phone mirrors to my TV screen BUT once I play any media (youtube, videos from phone etc), the audio frequency is much lower than it
should be (giving anyone who speaks a really deep voice, for example). It's totally unusable for mirroring video.
I have a funny feeling this actually worked properly the first time I used it, but perhaps amazon pushed out an update which subsequently broke it.
Does anyone else have this issue.?
I looking at getting a PX5 unit and was wondering if any of the DVR apps supported recording the rear camera as well as from the USB dash camera? Would be nice to have both going at once. Also is the video out mirrored only or is it possible to set something else on the output screen.
The front (F-Cam) and rear (Reverse) cameras are both RCA (analog) and are not recordable since the signal is only displayed and not processed logically. The DVR software works ONLY with certain USB cameras, and you could place them anywhere in your vehicle you please. So far, no other DVR software (available in the Play Store, anyway) is compatible with these units. Sorry I can't help with the video mirroring question.
Even though both are analog when you run the non F-Cam (DVR) cam (which frustratingly is not compatible with the f-cam app) I have found it makes the rear cam footage stutter!!. Bit crap when reversing as a stutter can skip a few inches.
Hi Guys, I have a quick question. I was very excited to setup my front bumper camere using F-Cam app which I figure it out while i was messing with Car-126 menu. However due that my unit has only AV input rca, I am not able to get any view with F-Cam app. As far as I investigate, hardware mod is needed to use F-Cam app with front camera. It seems very hard for me, so I want to go with AVIN.apk.
It sometimes works well, sometimes error logo on middle of screen. Is AVIN.apk buggy? Also it drives me crazy that it cuts my spotify's sound when I open AVIN.apk. Is there any possibility to keep audio running in background and show only video in full screen with AVIN?
My unit is a Witson brand PX5 - Oreo 4GB.

It is pre-loaded with stock rom already. My unit is android 8.0 px5.
I connect front camera to av-in input of unit, it works but i hate it is taking control of audio.
It is trying to play aux in with video input.
Check all connections on the back. Seriously. You probably have a pin that’s either unlabelled or unused that is really f-cam in. All units should be capable of it, and in a rare case you might have to do some soldering.
Edit: I have a Witson unit as well and it’s the 6th pin on the little 8 pin connector. Pin 3 is GND on mine.
