A new system app notification appeared on my phone yesterday. Anyone know anything about it? I never installed the last system app (and never will).
I have a 5.5 Idol 6045i. I tried to edit my post but it hung up and would not do it.

Hi,
When I went to 4.1.1, I noticed that my notifications for text messages were not always playing completely. Sometimes they weren't even playing at all, and the only way that I knew that I had a text was because my phone was set up to vibrate. I was on rooted stock 4.1.1. My wife's phone had the same problem, and she was unrooted 4.1.1. Tonight, I updated to 4.1.2 stock rooted. I was hoping that the notification sounds would be ok, but they are still not completely playing. I have not updated my wife's phone to 4.1.2 yet. But seeing as she's having the same problem on 4.1.1., I expect it to continue for her as well.
Does anyone know of anything that can be done to fix this?
Thanks
This is a bug caused by old.messages being deleated while the notification sound is played. Uncheck the Delete old messages box or raise your message limit or manually delete old messages. Crappy work around but it works.

i get no notification LED or sound when i receive a message. but, when i unlock my phone, instantly the LED and sound go off, and in the message in hangouts it will show how long before the message was actually sent (eg. 6 mins ago). i'm running 4.4.2 stock/rooted. seems like a new problem since the update from 4.4.1 to 4.4.2, and the only other thing i can think of that changed was i installed xposed framework and a couple modules that didn't have anything to do with notifications, then i uninstalled everything when i realized it wasn't going to be able to do what i thought. any thoughts?

nope. i did just install airdroid recently though. could that be affecting this somehow?
So I installed 6.0 ROM from Sultan about two weeks ago. Since about a week, my facebook app crashed and has since not wanted to reopen. It starts the app, colours my notification bar blue (like it always does when starting up), gives me a five second whitescreen, then it kills the app.
I've tried installing older versions of the app, newer versions of the app and the same version, all end up in the same place. Deleted data, cache when the app is installed and tried then, but no luck. I have a feeling the app just isn't even installing anymore because every night I get triggered to ''update'' facebook, which is the same 41MB the actual app is when you download it for the first time.
How do I completely wipe ALL of this app's data from my phone without having to do like a clean install? Or is this a problem common with this rom/6.0 and can I fix this? Any help is much appreciated, I'm lost. Every other app works just fine.
I got a new system app notification this morning. The notice says "enjoy.now"
Yeah - right. I never installed the last new system app after being warned how it would screw up my phone.
Basically I noticed today, whenever a app has a update & has a new icon, even after updating, the old one remains in the app drawer and doesn't update to the new one, so you have the updated app but with the older icon, it's not really a issue, I've just never seen this before, is there a fix?
