This app allows you to use Chop Chop motion and Torch Quick Settings tile with Flash Light techniques that work with Android Oreo and other 64 Bit ROMs for Moto G4 Plus (athene).
The App uses native Chop Chop sensor so it should work with other Moto Phones that support Chop Chop motion too.
Moto Torch supports two camera modes: Camera API and Root mode
You will find that the root mode is much faster than the Camera API especially if you are using MagiskSU as I'm using topjohnwu's libsu
I developed this app as I did not want to have 2 apps(Godly Torch and Shake Flashlight) for a simple purpose of torch

Great job done thanks, Everyone was in very much need of it.

I have the error: the file can not be opened

Great work bro.. works great.. :good:

You have to keep app running in background all the time to use it anytime or else have to open app then chop chop and flash is on. Can you make it available even if i kick the app out from recent menu. Whenever i kick it out it stops(thats the msg i get always). But as it is a beta version i think you are gonna fix this soon:Cheers:

I've developed it such that it keeps running even if you remove it from the recents menu. Force Stopping it or greenifying it will definitely stop chop chop.
You could add the torch tile quick setting to your top 6 settings so everytime you pull down the notification shade the Service is automatically started.
If it still doesn't work for you, I'll have to add a persistent notification which I personally don't like.
All this because Oreo does not allow services to run indefinitely in the background without showing a notification.
What ROM are you using?

You are right, notification just sucks. Even if i dont clear app from recent menu it closes. Im on rr oreo and privacy gaurd is off for it

Thanks a lot for the app! I've locked the Moto torch app in the recents. And the app doesn't work in root mode, experiencing fc. When I try to open the app from the app drawer, it says permissions denied. I am using latest beta of Nova launcher prime.

Wow...its faster than ever....i am on rr oreo..and it works great...just hope no battery issues take place.

Nice work . Thanks a lot.

Im on Athene RR Oreo and when i try to open the App it says permission denied . I gave all Permission i think

The only permissions it's requesting for is Camera Permissions and Root permissions. If you have root access it's better to give it root permissions or just ignore those toast messages

I have added a new version which ignores doze optimizations to stay in memory.
I also added Crash Reporting so I can fix those FCs some of you are facing

Really useful app, keep on the good work :good:

The camera API option doesn't work for my device running Resurrection Remix 6 latest build and rooted using latest Magisk. The root mode does work, but it's a bit buggy. It works for not more than a few seconds after which the light turns off automatically. I tried using both the app versions.

Thanks for this , good work:good:

[APP][XPOSED] Custom Alert Slider for OnePlus 2/X/3 [2.1]

Hi guys,
Aside from VibrateMode, I made another app which customizes the slider to make it more useful. You can change action for each slider position. And it needs Xposed framework.
List of actions will be updated here:
- All
- Interruption
- None
- Airplane mode
- Flashlight
- Vibrate
- Mobile data toggle
- Do nothing
- Remove toast when changing mode
- Remove ringer icons or change interruption icon to vibrate icon
- Tasker support (event plugin)
If you have suggestion for custom action. Please post it here and I will put it on the app's checklist.
Hope you like it

Really cool, looks like it's working ok.
Finally I can reverse the order and use airplane mode instead of muting all.

Vibration mode should also add in the list. I know You have another app for it. But keeping two apps for this is not a good idea.

There are several reasons:
This new app focuses only on customizing the alert slider on Oneplus 2/X devices
VibrateMode works for all CM-like devices and not just Oneplus devices
Do you want more fancy features for your alert slider? Then combining the two only creates the mess.
The app has its own plan and for now it looks like it's a good idea to combine them but when I add more features to the combination, I would actually destroy the focus.
I hope you understand.
The app doesn't even run, keeps crashing when I open it. On OOS 2.1.1 with v75 xposed ver. with gavinhungry's xposed mods.
I'm with mnhs on this one. I'd like to see these features wrapped in with the other app that is already available. I understand why it's not, but an all in one solution for users would be more beneficial than having to install several apps to accomplish the same thing.
All this said, I can not get the app to work as described. I enabled the module but the app immediately crashes every time I try to open it.
I really want to fix the problem. Can you see the log and check where it crashed?
would this app work for Hydrogen OS on OnepLus 2?

The problem could be the conflict with MinMinGuard if you have them. MinMinGuard tries to block ads and causes so many crashes and hence the app is terminated. New version will be updated soon.

I have not tested the app yet. But in my opinion it will not work correctly with HydrogenOS.
Nice app...works perfectly for me. It would be better if vibrate was included in it. But still I loved the app.
Adding a vibrate mode option really kick it up a notch. You don't have to discontinue your vibratemode app as such because of its support for cm devices. But adding it here would really add to sensible functionality.
Anyway great work already! Cheers
Awesome, Man!! I just installed it and it works like a charm!

You can set up vibrate mode via tasker, if you are familiar with tasker.
vibrate, vibrate and ring, ring, mute , flashlight, auto brigntness.
these are the must need stuff for me. please add it bro.

I think you said you were already working on this but the ability to assign our own shortcuts would be perfect, then I could just make tasker tasks and do anything else I want through that!

[PORT][5.1.1/6.0][5.0] Latest OmniSwitch for Lollipop and Marshmallow

Disclaimer:
I will not be responsible if you screw up with your device. I have not created this app and i am only porting it.
TheRoyalSeeker Presents OmniSwitch for lollipop and Marshmallow based devices....
Introduction:
Android presents a relatively easy way to switch between running apps and ending apps, but there isn’t a great way to keep favorites readily available while at the same time giving you complete control over running apps. And that’s where OmniSwitch from Omni Developer maxwen comes into play.
omniswitchOmniSwitch is an open source, recent apps switcher with support for application control and favorites. The idea behind OmniSwitch was to make application switching as easy as possible due to that function becoming more and more important in Android as RAM continues to grow in new phones. In theory, you should be able to do nearly all of your switching between apps using OmniSwitch with a single swipe and click.
OmniSwitch can be opened by swiping a drag handle that can be freely placed on either side of the screen, and opens as an overlay which contains three parts:
Action Buttons – for application control like “kill all”, “kill others” or “switch to last app”
Recent apps – a horizontal list of recent apps where swiping up or down will stop the app
Favorites – a horizontal list of apps which can be configured
As Omni is about freedom of choice, we chose to implement this as a standalone application so that if you don’t like it, or don’t want to use it, you will have absolutely no side-effects to your experience. Most of the features, except for application control, will work fine. However for controlling applications like killing them, OmniSwitch needs special permissions that are only available if it is installed as a system app. It is for this reason that we chose (grin) to include it inside of the build.
Most of the configuration options should be self-explanatory, consisting of settings to define location, look of the drag handle, the overlay, and the favorite applications list and their order. One noteworthy setting is “Auto-hide.” In order to prevent accidentally triggering the OmniSwitch, this will change it to a two-step activation mechanism. The first swipe will show the drag handle for 3 seconds, and the second swipe with activate it.

Brightness Tweak allows you to reduce your screen brightness below the android specified minimum.
Android places certain limitations on screen brightness not allowing you to reduce your screen brightness to the minimum level. This app will allow you to reduce your brightness to the minimum as soon as it detects that the brightness has hit the brightness limit.
On a device I tested, I found the following,
System Minimum (Normal Mode) : 7
System Minimum (Power Saver Mode - Lollipop) : 3
This app will allow you to reduce your screen brightness to 1.
If you are using CM12+ based ROM (May 20 or newer builds) the app will use the CM Tile which you can use to enable or disable the service. On all other devices a notification will be displayed allowing you to do the same. I made this app because the system's minimum brightness was still bright for me and would strain my eyes in a dark room.
Features
Relies on the system informing the app about brightness rather than polling.
Utilizes CM's Tile API. So no clutter in your notification drawer if you use CM
Limitations and Known Issues
If you have set a minimum brightness below the system specified limit, there will be a delay of 1 second or so to apply the brightness after you switch on the screen. This is a limitation and nothing can be done about it as of now.
The app may slow down the entire system if root permissions were not granted in a few seconds. if this happens just swipe away the app from the recents menu. The brightness service is not affected by this and will continue to run.

I'll be fixing this in the next build, I'm just limited with not having a marshmallow compatible device and emulators don't support this

Here too, there's no quick settings shortcut on LOS 14.1 (Nougat 7.1.2).
Hope you hadn't abandoned this, your app is the only thing that actually works!

Works great on Sony Xperia XA 1.
This app can truly decrease brightness instead of drawing an overlay.

[APP][7.0+]Screen off timeout quick setting

I was missing a quick settings tile in Nougat to change the screen off timeout, so I quickly made my own. I share it here in case someone else would find it useful.
The app is very lightweight, using just 100KB of space once installed. It requires permission to change system settings for obvious reasons.
The strings are currently available in English and Spanish.

Nice! I'd like to be able to initiate a Tasker 'task' from quick settings*. Not asking you to do the heavy lifting, but I'm wondering if you could share some hints about how to build something like this - or maybe even source?

I've downloaded, but it says it cannot open the file. Any idea?
Is this app available for MI users?, as Mi users have customized UI...
Great tile. Rather than that, is it possible to make tile that keeps Screen awake indefinitely until tile is turned off? Such tile would be more practically usable I guess...
Nice work :good: thanks ,htc m9, rom ice nougat
Excellent addition to quick settings.
It would be even better if we select the tile and it opens on the quick settings itself with appropriate animation rather than the popup it have now.
It will be more like Nougat thinge.

Which Google Apps package should I use?
OpenGapps. Pico or Nano.

As long as you have updated TouchWiz to Lollipop, you're good to go.
My phone doesn't turn off.
It will turn off. It may sometimes take a really long time.
Can I install Samsung Apps?
No, because Samsung needs its own framework.
Does S-Pen work?
Yeah. Just as a stylus.
My battery is draining too fast/abruptly.
Change your battery.
Is the video recording fixed?
Yeah. But to be sure, disable "Ok Google" detection. answered by Sgt. Kofeyeh
Why can't I upload stories to WhatsApp?
Facebook probably uses a different algorithm to encode stories.
And no, I cannot fix that.
Thankyou very much sir
For another great rom
Screenshots?
Best LOS based ROM till now. Minimal but essential functions only. Excellent performance. Just keep it updated plz as I will stick to it. Every feature that the los lacks is here. Just add HW keys mapping from RR. It lacks assigning shortcuts and apps.
Thanks again and plz keep it updated.
Yes, blazing fast ROM...
Please continue the updates..
Thank you very much for your hard work...

The recording and sending videos from gallery to whatsapp requires extensive reworking of the camera HAL on our phone, which so far has not been possible as Samsung closed-sourced that to hell. So at the moment I don't believe it's fixed unless specifically mentioned by the dev.
You can still send videos to Whatsapp by using the built-in whatsapp camera or using Whatapp Web :good:

Common issue but easily solvable
Get "Proximity Fix" from the Play Store, run it once (accept root access when it asks) and that's it issue should be gone
