What is this icon please? - Huawei Watch 2

To the left of the battery icon, just above the date. It has me stumped.

No SIM inserted.

Ah thankyou. I had searched high and low before posting here.

As long as we're on this topic, I never understood what the leftmost icon in this notification area is.
It looks like a watch and it's related to display, but the circle in the middle is sometimes white and sometimes black or transparent,
but what do these 2 states mean ? Did someone figure it out ?

It is "Theater mode" when brightness is set to "Auto". Press to put the watch in theater mode.

To expand on the previous post, it means that your tilt to wake etc is disabled so your screen is permanently off. The only way to cancel it is to press one of the hard buttons.

Icon is not SIM PIN code not inserted too.

I need help

2 quick questions, they might be something simple sorry but I dont know how to get this to work.
1) How do you unlock your phone without the stylus? I know if you hold the end call key for 3 secs it locks it but I want to unlock the phone without the stylus. I hate ejecting it so the power goes on and then I can slide my finger on the "Lock Icon" left or right to unlock the phone.
2) How do you change the "Lock" Icon mapping? By that I mean its located at the top and I would like to move it to the bottom or middle. Once somehow automatically it was located in the middle and then I rebooted my phone and it went back to the top again.
I don't understand question 1 are you saying you take the styles out to turn the phone on? why don't you use the power button at the top? Then use your finger when it turns on to unlock it. I will admit i don't use the lock fetcher
But i think i understand the second question to move it to the bottom, go to start/setting/today/Items this will have a list of "icons" you have on the main screen select the Device Lock and move it to the bottom of the list. this should move it to the bottom and you are done.
1) you can unlock your phone without pulling your stylus out. press the power button to turn the screen on and then press unlock on the bottom left softkey followed by the confirmation on the center right side of the screen.
on the otherhand what you're asking for is called S2U (slide to unlock) which is an app the mimicks the iphone's lock interface
2) what mapping are you talking about? on the tf3d where the app tab is at? if so, then you just move it by using diamond tf3d tweak OR manually deleting the app and relocating it to where you want it.
Cool thanks for the help on question 1 I didnt know that.
For question 2 the same thing, do you know when the phone is locked and you have that icon that you have to slide left or right so that you can access the main menu on your phone (has the time, contacts, view messages, email etc.). That little bar that reads slide and has a padlock icon in the middle of it. That little button I want to reallign it in the screen. It happened once but I didnt press or change anything for it to happen, it just did.
Bump .

[Q] screen issues

i been having problems with screen meaning everytime i am out during the daytime i can not see my screen what so ever. i was wondering if there is anyway to fix that? is there any apps i can download?
I installed a Widget called Brightness Level (free!) and assigned it to a Jump Key (Jump-X is what i used)
When it is pressed as a widget from a home screen, a pop-up appears with 0%, 25% 50%, 75%,. 100%, & Auto along with a slider-bar to set the screen brioghtness percentage.
Pressing the Jump key brings up the same app. the widget also shows the current setting percentage.
...using the Jump screen allows you to easily access the app even when the screen is completely dark.

any screen will do this in sunlight, turn your brightness to max by swiping your finger from left to right on the status bar and there are also anti glare screen protectors that cedll phone shops sell that may help
I have heard of that tip, but it only seems to work about 1/4 of the time (unless I am really bad at the whole swiping thing) that is why I set up the keyboard shortcut instead which works 98% of the time (assmuing the active program isn't stuck/frozen)

Swiping only works if "Auto" is off, you can also just long touch a spot on the notification bar ;-) ex, left, middle, right or anywhere in between. this seems to work better than swiping for me.
Hope this helps.
you can also just got to settings>display>brightness, uncheck automatic, and adjust brightness that way. you can also assign a jump key shortcut to settings>display, as i just did. that pretty much eliminates the need for a widget.

Does the home button icon in the AOD move around to avoid burning in?

Would be interesting if it didn't, since the AOD clock moves up and down and horizontally to avoid burning in. With all this done to avoid the clock burning in, it would be odd for Samsung to add a button icon that's always enabled by default, and doesn't move at all.
As far as I can tell it doesn't ever move, however, you can turn of the AOD home button icon portion without disabling the rest of the AOD.

Very strange that it's enabled by default... Samsung made all the effort to not make the clock burn in by even having it move to the sides a bit, but doesn't care about the home button. 90% of customers will have the virtual AOD home button on because they don't know how to disable it

As a note, specifically the AOD home button can be disabled without turning off the "long press home to unlock" function. you just press the area where the home button would normally be. Throwing this in here to clarify for any interweb travelers that stumble in .

Navigation menu buttons are off-center

Does anyone have the same issue as me? Every few minutes, the navigation buttons slightly move to a different position on the screen, which makes them off-center with the rest of the screen. This usually happens after locking and unlocking the phone. I have tried to restart the phone into the safe mode but the issue is still present there. I have even contacted Sony support.
My oled TV does this to prevent burn in. Maybe check the display settings to see if it is such a feature?
Not sure, I cant find anything like that in display settings. I have also tried to change the minimum screen dpi in the developer settings and it fixed it right after the change, but as soon as I lock and unlock the phone, the buttons are off-center again.
This is a feature. It moves them over time to avoid burn in.
Ok thanks. But if this is a feature, it's pretty annoying, as it's very visible at times. Why aren't the buttons rather changing their size a bit instead? It would be less noticeable then moving them from side to side.
Nevermind, I have disabled the dock and I can't notice it anymore ?

Notification bar pull-down area rarely registers.

I just got my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra the other day and there's something pretty frustrating that I'm hoping someone can help me out with. There is a feature that allows you to swipe down on the home screen to pull down the notification panel. This this feature is disabled, or you're on any other screen other than the home-screen, there is only a very very very thin line that represents the notification bar that registers you pressing when wanting to pull the notification bar down. Its even worse when I have my case on. I have to try press and dragging somewhere between 5-7 times before it works.
I guess I'm just wondering if there is a way or setting to expand the area at the top that acknowledges the notification pull-down feature. Currently, so far as I can tell, it measures at about .25cm vertical area that recognizes the drag-down feature. Can we increase to .5 or maybe even .75cm vertical area?
Use Nova Launch, in the settings go to gesture. From there you can do whatever you want.
You can also put another bottonin your Nav bar that pull down the notification on any apps anywhere. In the Good Lock app go to the NavStar. Choose a new configuration or long press on the navbar option of your choice and you can put more button on it. I have 7 and they're all very useful for me.
