Audio Balance? - HTC U11+ Questions & Answers

Hello,
With headphones connected, can anyone check for me if it is possible to adjust the audio balance between left and right ears in the accessibility menu? Some HTC's have this. But the Anroid One HTC U11 Life did not. I need it because I don't hear so good on the right. My galaxy has it and iphone, but would be great to know if HTC u11 Plus has this.

Option is there but only working for wired headphones. When connected via bluetooth the slider has no effect for me.
I'm on 1.23.709.3 TW Version

Audio output

Okay coming from the iPhone 4 when I would stream Pandora in my vehicle it sounded good but with the desire its like it isn't loud enough and it doesn't have any depth just treble sounds like am I missing a setting or is this common with HTC phones not having good audio?

it is a known fact that the speaker sucks on the Inspire.
Your iPhone automatically adjusted the volume when you plugged it into the car, and wouldn't let you adjust the volume on the device. The Inspire doesn't do this, so you have to use the volume rocker on the device to set it loud enough for it to sound decent in your car. I stream audio from mine all the time in the car, and once the audio is set at the right volume it sounds great.
I did not have the same experience as Silas. I'm currently on CoreDroid, which is supposed to have some audio tweaks to increase the volume of the all speakers up to 20%. It's still very treble heavy. It's well known the speaker on the Inspire is less than stellar, and you just happen to be coming from a device that has an incredible external speaker. I'm not sure you're going to get the volume/sound quality you desire out of this particular device.

Headset audio level

Hey everyone, well I'm a fairly new T-Mobile customer & Sensation owner and while I really love the phone I'm not the happiest about the speaker or headset volume level. I can turn the level all the way up when I have a headset plugged in and it's no where near loud enough for me when listening to music. Is this the norm for all you Sensation owners as well?
Now I've read about the crappy speaker that is used and I've followed the music player thread hear as well I've tested Volume+ and nothing seems to change the loudness level. All of the apps were just the free verions and I know that Volume+ lets you go to +8 in the paid version but I just wish something could boost the volume to a noticeable difference!
It's getting to the point where I may swap this out for the Amaze or possible Consider the GSII.
The stock handsfree headset is pure crap, mind you. Just get a pair of good headphones and a Beats ROM and you'll be all set

how do i uninstall beats?

I personally think it makes music worse... but it is minor.
What I HATE is the beats notice when I plug headphone in - even when beats is turned off...
anyone know how to uninstall it?
ugh!
edit: spelling in topic
There is no need to uninstall it. When you have headphones plugged in. Go to settings and turn this feature off.
Still thinks that it should beep and tell you that beats is off when you plug in headphones. Kind of stupid IMO.

yeah.. it is the notification that makes me wanna punch a baby
Don't buy HTC phone. That's the only solution.
The beats feature is a filter applied deep in low level, not something you can remove even if you have an Android phone like my HTC OneX.

My beats audio keeps turning off everytime i change video on YouTube or MetroTube. I have to unplug and replug headphones to turn it on again.
After the "Portico" firmware update, Beats on my phone doesn't seem to work right anymore. While listening to music, toggling Beats Audio on/off under Settings has no effect at all. Before the Portico update, this produced an extremely noticeable change in music levels.
This is my second 8X. Both have had this issue after getting the firmware update. Anyone else?
does the issue happen with different headphones too?

Beats Audio is only intended to work when something is plugged into the headphone jack, be it headphones, earbuds, or an auxiliary cable to a car stereo. It isn't available for phone speaker. My issue is when it is available (headphones or AUX cable) and it just does not work. Music is actually louder now with Beats toggled off.

Galaxy s8+ Bluetooth audio quality issues

Just switched from a Huawei Mate 9 to a Galaxy s8+ and noticed a bit of a difference in audio quality when streaming music from Google play music to my car over Bluetooth.
Even with play music set to stream the highest possible quality all the time, it still sounds compressed/noisy at higher volume. I thought it might be due to the phone's volume slider going past 100% but even with it turned down to half way and making the car do all the amplifying, it sounds the same. I looked in Samsung's audio settings and the equalizer/sounds profiles all look neutral.
The Bluetooth connection on this phone seems Rock solid and I love the ability to switch from one audio device to another straight from the notifications.
Just think I could be getting a little more from it in the audio quality department. Maybe I'm missing something...

Bluetooth Audio Quality Issues

Hi all, I recently picked up a new HTC u11 (sprint) and having one issue that stands out. When I pair the phone to my car (2016 subaru crosstrek) and a portable speaker, I can't this static, unclear sound quality. For example, if there is a silent part in the sound, I hear "background" static noise, almost like tuning into a radiostation that doesn't get reception. The phone is fully up to date. Has anyone experienced this issue before?
