TWRP3-.2.1.0-falcon, ROM PixelExperience_falcon-8.1.0-20180212-2012-OFFICIAL.zip, nothing else installed. I'll use the device for a second then "com.android.phone has stopped" error closes everything down. I even have tried fastboot -w, nothing fixed.

Try reinstalling the rom I know it's a boring task, but these bugs always happen in the roms in the initial development. My hawk I've been testing this build since yesterday and there are no such errors that you say

PE 02/12 build
Great effort. Installed like a charm. I can't say there is anything particularly wrong with the ROM, not at this early stage anyway. But most of the GUI is very sluggish as of now.

yes animations lag a bit but I set the animation speed to 0.2 in developer options and now is fast

Be patient, you need to analyze that a project is in initial development and will have improvements and stability, since time is a game of patience and all that remains is to thank and wait for the hard work of a developer.
hi dev, first of all tnq for this wonderfull rom.........my prblm is aftr installing this rom, boom beach and instagram are showing not supported for this device in playstore...........all other apps are installed......why is like this?is there any work around for this........and finally can we increase the app badge size and decrease number of apps showing in horizontal line (while browsing apps), it looks clumpsy so....?
Can anyone confirm whether flashing magisk makes the device sluggish on this rom or not? It is an issue in AEX 5.2.

First of all the battery is pretty good 12-ish hours of normal usage, the UI is pretty smooth (at 0.5x speed), that being said the animations look cheap tbh like some version of Jelly Bean (recent apps menu for example).
Overall is a good ROM, thanks everyone involved. :highfive:

I don't know about Magisk but you can flash the latest SuperSu and it works fine.

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

see here.... i have been using it since yesterday.... smooth and fluid.... nd giving good battery backup than many other roms From 96% to 44% with continuous data on and WhatsApp and YouTube and got almost 5 hours SOT

this is custom rom brother.... you wont have any xiaomi related account or cloud :/
i flashed the rom but no RIL sim is not detecting i flashed all the patches but no luck .. i flashed the modem alone but still no lock.....

it also happened to me..... what i did is
1. Flash rom and gapps and boot rom
2. Reboot to recovery again and flash the cm setup patch and video calling patch and simply reboot
3.Voila its working ..... give it a try
If I may ask, I have few questions for you @ShubhamPaul12.
1) Speaking till now this one is the third AOKP rom for land based on Android M. How is this different from the other two?
2) Will you be updating this rom or will you leave it as other two devs did!

1.This rom has the volte logo and pixel accent which is diff from other roms.... for peeps who like those customization and feature repectively in it

Great ROM! Very stable. Camera and media works.
However, mobile data connects 4G instead of LTE.

YouTube requires YouTube Red for PiP.
You can also try PiP in Google Maps navigation.
Call volume is very low can't hear anything until I switch to speaker. Any solution? other than that works great so far. Amazing job guys!

Using Raine's TWRP, it's the only one I can use that doesn't break touch screen.
Not starting
My mix does not start, it stays in the Google logo with a loading bar, it has been done for several many until I gave up.
Migrated from latest AICP. Firmware 8.1.25. Didnt install 8.1.4, just wiped everything and installed oreo with magisk. Thanks, finally a working oreo build for our device.

-Mi Pad 4 doesn't have flashlight so "longpress torch when sleeping" doesn't work.
-Whether you have the Wifi or LTE version, you will get dialer app.

I did not try dirty flash but always recommended clean flash. it is based built date source.
Pretty great Rom so far. I experienced no bugs since I use this rom and Battery seems also pretty good. Great Work.
Is it normal that everything is scaled up as if running on a phone? The smallest font size still looks like it's optimized for senior citizens.

I'm not comparing it to a phone, I'm comparing it to other ROMs I've run on my tablet. Other ROMs are scaled fine, PE is scaled huge.
I looked into PE display setting. the steps changing character size of PE is only 4 but SuperiorOS has 11. maybe the smallest size of PE characters is different from other roms. I think it's a PE specification.
Maybe try to push it to official? OTA Updates would be great.

second, when I enter TWRP, I am asked to choose language every time, and more importantly, I cannot see my SD card and the main storage appears with 0 MB. Any ideas?

After posting I decided to try the ROM. I've got no problems at all. I've been using for one hour doing the configuration and installing all my apps.
Everything's going perfect so far.

I've been using the rom for about a day and it's been great so far. Performance is great and I haven't had any app crashes. The only problem I have with it is that you don't get free google photos storage (it just says backup complete). I don't know if that's a bug or it's supposed to work like that but free storage was available in the alpha build...

Nothing like that here.. do log it and send with proper logs and bug report else please dont say blank like this . No one has said so...Also i have tested it numerous times before release so i dont think what you are saying is true

Hey ! good day. I added some code in the source side to make it work but then on/after december patch it doesnt work..seems like google patched it so idk ...if any other fix is availabe for it i will make sure to ship it with a feature update or monthly update

I have also noticed that in some places (like when installing apps from the play store website on PC) the phone is seen as a Google pixel 6 pro witch could be causing the problem if Google photos also thinks it is a pixel 6 because the pixel 6 series doesn't get free storage
Hi. Rom seems great and stable.
But i have found 3 issues..
1. Its seems online as Pixel 6 pro.
2. In camera app there is no settings.
3. In camera app flash is not working at all.
Any idea?

1. Its due to the rom's source patches/works
2. It is there. Please do check well (swipe left/right)
3.Yes. It is a source side error.I check in other app like google lens and stuff and it works . Hopefully it will be fixed in future

I have two problems with this ROM
1. Using two SIM cards, the antenna of the phone is disturbed and I am constantly losing the antenna
2. The phone is not connected to the computer to transfer the file. I tried with Windows 11

Have been using this ROM for about 6 hours now. Everything is working like charm (Kudos to everyone associated).
However, sometimes, mobile network gets lost (goes into a loop of going off and coming back...) This gets resolved if we switch off the location. Is it just me facing this issue?
I installed the ROM yesterday and so far it is working great except "4G Calling" which I had to deactivate to be able to make phone calls (incoming audio was heavily garbled while outgoing audio was just noise).

I am trying to flash this rom but it is impossible. I have done everything to the letter, the wipes and reboots, and I always remain in bootloop. I have restored 5 times my device to the stock rom and I have done the procedures of different tutorials and nothing.
I also tried adb.
I am using twrp 3.6.0_9-0 because OrangeFox is also in bootloop.
pls help!

I also had problems installing it, try to acceed to the fastboot and boot twrp 3.6 img, wipe everything in the 2 sides and then reboot again to the fastboot, acceed to the twrp 3.6 and install the new version. If this doesn't work, do the same process but instead of install the new version first install the alpha and then the new one.

Thanks for making this amazing ROM for users and giving updates but it confuses people and me to pick thread, there are three different threads made by you instead of updating, that would be simple and really helpful for us.
Can this one be installed as update on top of the 25 December version?

Just a report: Face Unlock takes a considerable amount of time to recognise face, on PE of Android 11 was pretty much instant, not sure if this is an expected behaviour.
